On the subject of locking this thread after release, I say we keep it open so we can compare the fan speculation to reality.

@ Fido.

Here's another shot of 19064 Pacific Coast Highway that you found yesterday.

Same window on the house next door. (red circle)

The in-game house has definitely taken some elements from the real life one.

OT: Since the traffic in this thread has slowed down & since this is the only thread that refers to the town in the Northeast corner of the map as "Rocket Town," I couldn't resist posting to say that i don't think I'll ever be able to drive through that town without hearing this song in my head.

@ Chinese Takeout.  Or this one.  They are both as crap as each other

OT.  This one was a no-brainer, but if anyone was wondering.

49 square miles. What did you guys estimate?

http://www.scotsman....sales-1-3081943

21-ish, I believe... if this article is true, holy sh*t!

49 square miles is correct if you mean the area represented by the entire piece of paper the map might be printed on. To "debunk" the OMG-ITS-BIGGER I whipped up this showing a 49 square miles rectangle with the 20.5 square mile landmass in it:  http://i.imgur.com/GHe6mC0.jpg

It's totally consistent with what people have estimated the area of the entire blueprint map grid to be.

Or maybe it mean's the underwater play area as well.

Since the surface water area on the map generally overlaps the underwater area, we agree. The water surface to the underwater floor would be equivalent to the roof of a building with an interior.

Would be funny imo.

Yeah, that house is the most obvious one. It's sure that it is 19064 PCH.

But I didn't understand what you meant about the window on the house next door ?

Is it ingame ? I don't see it.

I just meant I wasn't sure I had the same house as yours, but the window was the key.

Edit.  How long did you spend trying to find the window in the screenshot?

Was about to give up on this shot, but then remembered the pissy little airplane thumbnails from the GTA V website.

Quite a decent sized bridge down there.  There is so much more detail in this world that we haven't seen yet.  :^:

I still can't imagine that the Map should be bigger than San Andreas in GTA: San Andreas. Because the map there was really big enough. I mean you were driving for like 10 Minutes from Las Venturas to San Fierro with a normal car.

Nice one. Its always a real eye opener seeing just how big some of these bridges are. I remember thinking the bridge with the 2 arches at the mouth of the (zancudo?) river didnt seemt that large until i saw the screen of franklin leaping off it with a parachute. The other train crossing bridge was another that really blew me away after seeing the basejumper scene in the new TV ad. I assumed it would be around the size of the rail bridges in RDR but it totally dwarfs them.

Franklin trailer and screenshot. Photoshop :)

Just noticed the YouTube link.

WOW!!!!!  Your attention to detail is amazing.

The letterbox, rubbish bins etc.  Even the mushrooms in the front yard.  Awesome.   :cookie:  :cookie:  :cookie:

thanks!

@ spitfire 26 rus

We would love to see these buildings included on your map too.

It probably takes a lot of time & effort, but is it possible for you to continue further around the corner?

Sorry but there is a big misstake about this spot. This is not Franklins house, this is Lamars house.

You just must take the IGN articles this week and there you will find that Franklin hates groovestreet and will never came back in this area. Also the views in the trailers show up that franklins flat must be somewhere around st.monica peer or later in the game in the hills.
