So I finally decided to start doing the coloring thing, and here is my interpretation of the 4 skydivers shot and where things are in LS.

By the way the red line is W. Eclipse/Vinewood Blvd.

f*ck sake.

I agree... Sometimes this topic falls to page 4 or 5. For as much recognition this topic has brought this forum, I think it'd only be fair.

TazXn3w.jpg?1Added second view. About the circled aera i´m realy impressed of the gamesize.

And when you look at the fullsized view of this one, directly right to the yellow t-shirt dirtbikerider you can see a small connectionroad from the lower road up to the road above.

To be fair, I wouldn't worry about it this close to launch and after all this time, I'm sure everyone who regularly reads or contributes to the thread in a productive way has long since bookmarked it or simply checks it regardless. It took a real down turn when it did get pinned as every clown with inability to read but a need to ask inane questions suddenly polluted it.

I agree it *deserves* to be pinned (hell, I've been coming back almost every day since the first trailer, just to read this thread), but I think it's for the best that it doesn't.

I think I found a couple beach houses from the Malibu screenshot :

hljp.jpg

I'm not convinced about the first one.

I'm pretty sure about the middle one.

And I'm 85% sure about the right one.

All these are located on East Malibu, right between the Pacific Coast Highway and the beach.

Also you can see the Malibu Pier in the background, complete with the building along the PCH (small tower on the building, hard to see)

Nice finds as per usual Fido. How do you spot all these locations anyway, do you just google map and street view whole areas till you see something familiar? Seems like OCD levels of work. lol

Nice finds Fido, I spent ages looking for Malibu matches but drew a blank.

On your first pic, the freeway on the right is probably the Pacific Coast Highway.

The bit we see on the screen is just south of Bixby Bridge (western bridge over the Alamo River)

It's the crossroad in the red circle.

The screen is facing South-West.

Nice finds.

I'm not sure about the 1st one either.  It's frustratingly hard to search for these homes.

I've ended up searching for celebrity homes in Malibu.  At least they give you a photo with 3 or 4 homes side by side.

Most of the Malibu homes tend to look very similar though, so the homes in the GTA screenshot may be hybrids of 2 or 3 real life homes.  Gonna be hard to pinpoint particular homes exactly.

This one was Leonardo DiCaprio's home back in the late 90's.  It has some similar features to the orange one in your image.

After an hour or two of searching, this was all I could produce.  :/

Indeed, it is really hard to find those houses.

We have almost no tools to explore the Malibu Beaches except the Bird's Eye View on Bing Maps but it's not that great.

I don't know what to do except Google Images but it's the lottery...

Maybe they put Tony Stark house from the Iron Man movies as an easter egg ? :p

Not sure if I'll try this again, but... I remember that when I spent hours looking for the two elevated houses from the first trailer (that look very Malibu, but may in fact be located in the Rockford Hills), the best tool for Malibu was Google Image Search. Lots of pictures have been taken around there. [Edit: Ah, Google Images, that's what you're referring to ;)]

Even though it's been hard to find things, one thing I have noticed though is there are lots of very distinctive looking buildings & landmarks around Malibu.

Would love to see a parody of this in the game.

BTW.  Found another view of Leo's old house.  It's had a bit of remodelling work done on the lower level.
