That's really great! Excellent work!

Awesome. I hope there's a 3d version of the map inside the game (pause menu.) The depth creates a more realistic view of the sheer size of the map.

At the docks, judging by the crane.
Naval lettering on the building. Cool screen.

Dumb question (one that's probably been answered hundreds of times in this thread already), but is the map only a little bit bigger than San Andreas? I don't know what it is, but the raw square footage doesn't seem as vast as what I though it would be.

It's larger than GTA IV, San Andreas, and Red Dead Redemption put together. That's a bit more than "a little bit."

Yeah, but that's with interiors and underwater sections included. I was referring to the actual square mileage.

All evidence says the landmass is at least equal in square mileage to the total landmass area of those three games, excluding the inaccessible boundary terrain of RDR. See links in my sig.

Remember SA had underwater and all these games had interiors and there's no reason to think the proportion of exterior/interior/other is particularly different this time around.

Old and fake... it was made by our very own zombie elvis, and they failed to include the version that contains Paleto Bay up north... very obvious. Did you even look at it properly before posting? suicidal.gif

I suspect the fan-map is out of proportion. I think the Alamo is smaller than we think and there's more countryside. Making the Alamo huge was a psychological hang-up from Vice City, a map consisting of huge, empty space-fillers. I don't think GTA V has those space-fillers.

Yeah. I just read that too. Very interesting.
I'm thinking the west coast somewhere near the Malibu area or next to Mt Josiah, between the 2 rivers.
We definitely haven't seen a 3rd airstrip (other than the military base) so it must be in a place we haven't seen yet.
