There's quite a few details off the obvious coastline, but I think these are from the top of the map.

The rolled up picture showed a north section of the map until they badly pasted a picture of the city on the middle.

That sounds silly but the city part doesn't curve along the roll at all, and the dotted lines along the sea don't match with the dotted lines along the land.
This is why my blueprint has the Los Santos seal where it does, and a couple of islands to the east of it.

But you might be talking about a different island... There's some details on the east coast visible too but I can't make as much sense of those, but it might be where the lighthouse is.

I have a feeling a pulled off a stupid and it was just the City of Los Santos badge..

EDIT: yep, just zoomed onto the official image, it was just the round CoLS badge, sorry for the bother... sarcasm.gif

Sorry. I can't help, but I would love to know if the Deblur tool works on video game images as well as photographs.
There are lots of street signs, shop fronts & map images that can't be clearly read at the moment.
Even if the results don't add anything to the map, it would still be cool to see some more detail.

If anyone has the tools & ability to do this, please do it.

Should work fine.

You can download photoshop CC trial
https://creative.ado...ducts/photoshop

and there's a tutorial for the blur thing here:

But I'd recommend not using the stitched together pictures, just do it on individual frames from the trailer downloaded from rockstar or gamersyde, don't use the youtube one.

I just tried to do this, but it doesn't work.

The image is not clear enough to be sharpened.. as soon as I try to sharpen it, the image loses all colour, and ends up just a load of black dots on a white background.

If anybody knows any other method, feel free to let me know and I will give it a go smile.gif

--- EDIT ---

I jumped the gun a little on that.. I've just watched the video and I don't have that feature lol. (I've got Fireworks CS6, not Photoshop)

Cheers for that. I'll give it a go, but I'm a bit of a spaz when it comes to this stuff.

I'm interested to read some signs & shop fronts etc. If I can make it work I'll post the results that are relevant to the mapping project.

See you in a few hours. Maybe confused.gif

Had no luck de-bluring any images. Maybe somebody with more skill can get some results.

I managed to create this though. Yay.

We were trying to clear up some blurry map & signpost screenshots using Photoshop's de-blurring feature.
I think it only works on real photos, not pixelated video game images. I couldn't get any good results or maybe I just didn't know what I was doing.

The yellow plane "Oil Painting" was the only decent thing I managed to achieve for my 2 hours work, so I though I would share it.

Damn we need some new screenshots or news.

EDIT: The image is too blurred to recover. Doesn't work one bit.

It's not because of it being from a game, it's because deblur only works with focal blur, not motion blur.

Those are cool, the detail on the clear one is nice to just look into with so much detail. The oil painting though is something I wouldn't mind really large behind my couch.
