Still looks like we haven't seen that Malibu part yet.

No it's not the 'malibu' location, that is very obviously Mount Alamo (as you can see the 'solar panels' in the first image of the mountain). The pier, or dock reality, is nowhere near big enough to represent the one on the blueprint map, as it barely juts out from the sand. The 'malibu' is also missing the peninsula in the blueprint map, that you see in the skydiving shot.

The trails are the same as the Google map image. So tell me how you dont see that as the Malibu section? It is a game, so it wont be 100% identical, but its closer than anything else ive seen or heard.

Its not Malibu - the road layout is wrong to the blueprint. The mountain shape is wrong to the blue print, the coast line is wrong,
there is no trail lines in Malibu, Malibu is full of big houses - this town has some industry and is more run down.

the HUD shows its in the North by The N logo on it (North West a bit) Malibu is in the west.

None of it fits - None.

If that's Malibu then it looks pretty damn small, and it doesn't exactly look the nicest of area's, I thought Malibu was full of rich people and nice houses, that looks like a little poor town or something like that.

This bridge is one track only (not two - there was a discussion some time ago):

Jeez, people actually think that town is in the west part of the map? It is beyond obvious that its in the north west-ish part of the map. I believe that mountain goes by the name Mount Alamo (or Chiliad as some people call it).

LOL this thread really cracks me up. You guys have put together some wonderful theories and trying to map out the GTAV game world. But all that google earth sh*t...Rockstar isn't making their game map concurrent to the actual Southern California and LA. Its a RE INDENTION. That means its based on SoCAL but all the places aren't going to be in the exact same location...They could be ANYWHERE....I think the game world is much bigger than the what you guys have mapped out. You're only mapping from what you've seen in the trailers and gameplay footage... I think Rockstar has only shown us a 1/4 of the game world. I think we've only seen half of Los Santos, and 1/4 of the country side. We've only seen 2 towns and I happen to think there are at least 8-10 , I think all of us will be surprised when we see the actual map and see that there was a lot of area that we hadn't mapped out because Rockstar didn't show us.

I think it's Mt. Zancudo. You can see the hut at the top of Mt. Zancudo @2:34 of the trailer.

@trevoranders: I'm sorry to tell you, but you can't compare Google Maps / Earth Pics with the GTA V map. Malibu will be just on the northwest of Los Santos while the city you posted is north of the Lake.

This is about how I would now scale GTAV vs. GTASA and GTAIV based on two assumptions that are consistent with each other: 1.8m car widths in the top-down views of the gameplay trailer and the grid unit of the blueprint map being 1km.

damn looking at that screen with the zoomed out tennis court and seeing it close-up with the characters playing tennis makes you realise how big the scale of this game really is

EDIT: haha, anyone notice who's Michael playing against and what happens when you read the two names in order?

I agree with you.

I dont think that Malibu is in the exact latitude/longitude it would be on Google Maps. But I do believe that the image we see IS the same as Malibu/Pt Dume area.

It doesn't matter if its accepted on this forum, it will be known when the game comes out.

Just give me a cookie at that time.

If your theory is correct, then that airport at the south portion of the blueprint doesn't fit in the layout of Venice Beach and LAX in real life.

This isn't to scale nor is it limited to location. They took well known places, and put them wherever they wanted too. How hard is that to understand? Or do you think that every location on the map is laid out just in real life? I live in LA and i know this place inside out.

Obviously I'm talking to myself, so I'll end here.

It's a cable car/gondola or aerial tramway terminal.

It's not a cube shape, it's like a barn shape, you can see two halves of the roof and one side. The perspective is really weird in that shot.

Different freeway, this is the one going around the back of the dam. I think it joins the other one south of the prison, there are lanes and traffic joining that road in the bottom right on the old foggy vinewood helicopter picture, so I'd already been drawing it like that.

The windy windy road is maybe a service road that all the windmills are placed along.

Edited your pic for a rough guess:

I sure hope not. Los Santos 2004 is just as big as Los Santos 2013 in this picture, which is retarded. Same for Chilliad. Some people truly don't know how scale works, even if it would hit them in the face.

That's actually pretty interesting, but what does it have to do with the scaling?

@Stux56 Some people really do throw these around and compare them without any actual reference points, but believe me, that's far from the real scale.

Firstly because SA is this big compared to LS: http://i1173.photobu...exXD94/SA-V.jpg
And secondly, LC is about this big (or smaller) compared to LS: http://i1173.photobu...eRdVHighway.jpg

I noticed this too. Seems to indicate that this mountain and screenshot are on the NW corner of the map, not as it is pictured here.
