Does anyone know what this is?
A blank space.
It looks like a criss cross of smaller streets/roads if you look close
EDIT: It's definately a Trailer Park, Look at the bunches of rectangles and stuff.
On another post people said it was the oil Fields - see screen shot with oil being pumped and city in background - looks like that direction to me.
This are in real LA looks like a bit of waste land - dusty and desert like - could be that type of thing
Is it possible to be a military area?
I'd say it is swamp.
Like Seal Beach National Wildlife Refugee in LA.
Edit: Google Maps
They concentrated the map on nearly only Los Angeles. So if you see the border lines on the map, there are lots of similarities with the V map. Kinda sad the "suburbs" won't be in. So Anaheim with Disneyland will probably not be in, like many speculated pages before.
I think that's the oil rig scene from Trailer 1
If I had to guess, I'd say that is a landfill. I searched Google maps for something similar knowing R* draws inspiration, and I found the Orange County Landfill. I looks pretty similar...roads surrounding it, next to mountains and if you Google it yourself and zoom in you'll see trucks in there....might be an interesting place for a mission. Personally I think the oil rigs is another good guess, but I think those are a little north of this area.
***ON second thought, probably too big to be just a landfill. It could just be lighter colored to signify it's a different terrain thanjust grass, and there's actually a bunch of different stuff in there. It's a pretty huge area now that I look at it.
