It clearly looks like a GTA IV mod. Look at the grey lighting and weather. GTA V looks sunnier and more colourful. Good try though.

some guy posted a "pixeled" version of this screen this morning and said he got it from a russian source… well… when it comes to russian sources my first thought is always "fake" but we never know…

Does anyone know what this is?

A blank space.

It looks like a criss cross of smaller streets/roads if you look close

Forest?

EDIT: It's definately a Trailer Park, Look at the bunches of rectangles and stuff.

On another post people said it was the oil Fields - see screen shot with oil being pumped and city in background - looks like that direction to me.

This are in real LA looks like a bit of waste land - dusty and desert like - could be that type of thing

For me the new LS looks twice bigger than the old one.
And yes, it's big enough. Remember? Quality, not quantity. I don't want hundreds of the same on the streets.
Did I say before you guys are doing brilliant work in here? Well, now I say.

How did that 2011 fake maps meet the reality we have now? Not saying those were no fake, but the resemblance is obvious..

Again: Maybe where the windfarms are??!!

Again: Where is Chiliad on this new map??

Simple.. it's not on that map (well, what we can see here). Because it shows only Los Santos and not even all of it.

Sry, I mean on this map:
http://i.imgur.com/dsCeyVO.jpg

Alamo peak and Redwood peak on this map are parts of Chilliad range, there will not be single mountain named Chilliad in the game.

Wait, so it's a fake or real? I mean if you are already analysing it (comparing it with the map and other screens) you have to be sure it's not a fake.. or it would be embarassing - and a waste of time.

The Water in the picture looks different round the sub to rest of the shot - It could be a mix of two screens put together.

Don't think the water matches up.

That map has a slight similarity with the one from GTA V, because, well, they both tackle Los Angeles region, and everybody has access to real map of LA and can make an attempt on something similar wink.gif

Yep, 100%. It surprises me that there are so many people wondering what this area is on the map. It has been known for ages that there is an open 'field' area in the east, at the base of the eastern mountains. It's where the oil thingy's are located, and if I'm not mistaken it's where the 'meeting' between Trevor, Franklin and Michael take place (in front of the helicopters, probably at the start of the FIB hostage mission). I think it's pretty obvious that this light colored area is just an open, dry, field and hills area, with a couple of dust roads and some industrial buildings.

No. But I think I've found something else. There are thin white lines on the map. Those could be the Freight rail lines. There's a line on the East LS Side of the river with a branch crossing the river and heads down the center of an avenue towards the LS Port area. There's also a street in the south LS area, near where the Franklin/Lamar screen was, there's a line going down the center of the street that ends at a loop to the southeast. To the northwest, it liiks like it goes either underground or overhead near the freeway interchange seen in trailer 2 where Jimmy was hanging onto a boat sail. It also looks like another line ends at a loop at LSX. Tha route comes from the Vespucci Canals area. That could be the Los Santos MetroRail. The Freight Rail and MetroRail intersect on what I believe to be grade level.

Just to clear things up (but I'm pretty sure that you're not referring to it), you're not referring to the 'height lines' of the mountains, right? Because I've seen quite a few people on here asking why there were so many curly, almost circular roads in Blaine county turn.gif Also thin, white lines..

But I also saw the weird line going to LSX (the airport, for other people), running north-south and having a weird loop at the end. It could be some tunnel system, but it has a very organic shape and it would be harder to build a metro line as curved as the line shown. To be honest, there are multiple things on this blueprint map that make no sense to me.

About those white lines. It seems there are a lot of them. Like across the LS River. If they are bridges like in real life, it seems as if not all roads are black. Also some neighborhoods have the same white lines between the black ones. They could be just alleys though....

But theres ANOTHER white line coming from that highway we saw in Trailer 1 with the Caternary. It comes from dead center of that western interchange and heads south. On its eastern end, it comes off the bridge, kinda in a loop and goes to the rail yard area.
