When Trevor burns the house it looks like he is in farmland country and I am wondering where Grapeseed is on the map, so I suggested maybe he is near Grapseed and Grapeseed might be located to the west.

Is it really that bad to suggest and ask that question?

As for the freeway I was just wondering where it goes and suggested maybe it goes to a town and thought maybe San Diego?

Reason I thought San Diego is because we saw interstate 5 in trailer and also if Alamo Sea is North of Los Santos then Maybe San Diego is North East of Los Santos, because the whole map is re-imagined by RockStar

I also asked what direction we looking in windfarm pic and ask about mountains but you ignore that post and single out me talking about freeways and farms

There are plenty of people who have speculated and asked questions, maybe by asking questions it might give people ideas and they find something that can be proved

No, it's not definitely not bad to suggest and ask questions.

I was just about to reply to your wind farm idea, along the lines of: I have no idea how many wind farms there are in the game, all these mountains look the same, and the same mountains look different all the time, perspectives and distances are very deceptive -- but who knows, could be you've just demonstrated the power of speculation wink.gif

Hard to make out any overlap at all:

Maybe this is total nonsense but I ask anyway

Watch the slow motion trailer and look at parts ~3:25 and ~11:15 (the freeway part and Trevor jumping from plane part)

We see radio telescopes on the right and windfarm on left at 3:25

Is it possible we are not on the large freeway on the left but instead on the road that goes between the prison and mountain range

If you pause at exactly 11:17 the road I am talking about is directly under the left front tyre, can also see a small road that crosses which could be the bridge

If you look really closely, across this road to lower right, you can see a lot of tiny white trails, maybe this is where the windfarm is?

Could be totally wrong but the radio telescopes do seem to be closer than if we were on the larger freeway

The freeway at 3:25 does not actually look that wide when you think about it

Thoughts?

Also look at the very first frame of the freeway scene ~3:12

Is that the triangular mountain?

We can place 3 of the four Terminal Island Bridges and I would suspect the Henry Ford Railroad bridge is next to the Helm bridge.

We got any sighting of Grauman's Chinese Theatre, or the Hollywood Walk of Fame? They were in the feature as a small block of path in San Andreas and those places basically define Los Angeles.

In the first couple dozen pages or so, someone spotted a star on the sidewalk from the first trailer.

Hollywood Boulevard is in and we saw a glimpse of the walk of Fame in Trailer 1.
About Grauman's, I assume it will be included but remains to be seen.

I just made a post about those mountains few pages ago.
But i did'nt notice this part of the trailer (with the jet).

Good job, we can clearly see those moutains now.

The lake(s) and Mt Chiliad are yet mysterious but we have now a very good view of the map.

Two relatively minor observations:

In the first image, the... lets call it "most prominent peak north of the city"... is visible, too.

And in the second image, if you really want to see at least one more mountain top, at the right edge, above the Greek Theater... I think you can.

When making this panorama of Trevor driving past the satellite dishes (click for full size), I could help thinking I had seen that sign before. What do you think?

Also note that in the first frame of the airstrip scene, you can see three bikers. The way they're lined up they could be on the same path as Trevor.

Not really. Take a look at this image again.

I think unless Rockstar have been putting up the same sign all over the map, the location of the airstrip in that aerial view is *much more obvious*.

Yeah I see the mountains getting in the way from that angle with the truck, where do you suppose the airstrip is located? I can see it being the actual "Unknown Airfield" and the skyline being Los Santos in the distance but the topography doesn't make sense to me there.

EDIT- Scratch that, either I am way to tired to figure this out right now or I can't see how you would even see the LS skyline from that Unknown field. Thanks for pointing out the sign though!

Great find !

But is that the same ?
I think no, the environment is too different (house, electric pole, moutains etc...).
Maybe it's the opposite entry of the airport with a same panel ?

If we found it we found the area of the city on the left of the airport trevor scene.

Anyway i don't know if that was brought to light but :

Okay after I reviewed that pic again lxr I see that the electrical substation and trevor on the dune buggy is just off the exit ramp on the right side of the image with the truck. I could be way off and perhaps need to go to bed. lol.gif

I don't think there's much hope for finding another city there. As I tried to point out earlier, these are most likely industrial or agricultural buildings. Compare the two shots. It's not the same structure, but very likely the same type of structure.

Look at the way the radio telescopes are arranged at ~11:15.

If we were looking at them from the large freeway at ~3:20 then why is the arrangement so different?

Instead of just posting links to stuff I already read, why not explain why it is impossible for us to be on the other smaller freeway I suggested

See, and I thought by our current standards of "same mountain", the one on the right was a very good match.

Looking closer at the rigde right above Trevor's hair, I'm actually almost certain:
