Yup exactly, i didn't notice that skyscraper was noticable on the left side of the scene.
So i guess we know for a 100% sure now what the location of Michaels house is. Good job everybody cool.gif

I think you are mistaken. If you look at the other view of the house it shows the Vinewood Hills. Wouldn't that be much further to the left? The observatory isn't in the Vinewood Hills, so this isn't close to his house.

Hope this image helps to find new places and beyond... I've merged 23 frames from the trailer to make that huge image...

no, i think the vinewood hills turn into the Doheny drive/ laurel canyon area - or a rough approximation of it. if you look at the hills in the background of this shot where you can see the tennis court and the other houses behind it, i think that area is to the west of the Vinewood sign.

The two high-rises should tell us where Michael lives, right?

in this pic, for example. those hills in the background are, as far as i can work out, facing south over the golf course and whatever else is that side, so the vinewood sign would be out of shot to the right of this.

that bridge i cannot see in the other pic

Because it's off the map. I don't think people realise that in the trailer that have only shown the parts of of city which has generally been the CBD, hills and santa monica. We haven't seen any other great detail of the city and I think it's a lot bigger than some are making out.

^ Alot fail to realize is that there is still alot more city to the South East in LA, infact the Downtown area, which is much of what we are seeing makes up only a small amount of the overall city. I am sure Los Santos will be the same.

I don't know if it's already been mentioned, but there's some sort of amusement park behind Michael on the picture. I've never been to L.A., so someone a bit more knowledgable than me will have to figure out if, and what, that is.

What do you think? I'm not sure if the screen from the Game Informer is exactly taken from that place, just a guess.

People saying the city looks really small: Los Angeles is a sprawling city. It has a small downtown area with few skyscrapers. The rest of the city is small building which wouldnt look very impressive from the air, except maybe at night. LA is not a dense city, it is spread out over a large area. Some of these areas may look like suburbs to people who aren't familiar with LA. The city looks well represented from what I see in the screenshots.

Couldn't agree more!

what do you guys think?

whatever it is its coming out from behind those mountins and this means it is quite far away. the things that hold up electric cable normally run quite close together and you can see cables between the them. I strongly believe what we are seeing is the first tower of a very long suspension bridge.

That's right, I've already been to Los Angeles, but for me it is looking more like a squeezed city. I want these suburbs with some small houses. Downtown is absolutely ok, but I want this city spread out over a large area. But I don't see this. Neither in the trailer nor in the screens.
