I could see it as a dlc option. Never as a full fledged title. That would eliminate a huge market of people who don't have 3D TV'S or even care for it. On a side note, 3D is still just a gimmick. It seems like everyone is trying to force feed 3D into the marketplace, but i don't see a huge desire by consumers for it. Many people don't like having to wear glasses, or just find the effect flat out annoying.

Playing GTA IV in 3D was one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. Falling from buildings, diving from helicopters, dodging rockets... god the depth was so cool.

If you have a pair of red/cyan 3D glasses laying around, check out this thread I made a while ago.

I created screenshots using red/cyan (instead of the nvidia 3d shutter glasses) so that people without the special glasses can see what the depth is like.

Lots of screenshots!

If GTA2's Buildings Could Be... I Don't See Why GTAV Couldn't.

"HD" is not new tech. PCs have been using 1080p (and surpassed it) for a very long time. Just another example of consoles being slow to the game. Final horse crossing the finish line, so to speak.
