Eh, for some reason in the first mission it tells me to go to the living room, but I can't find any checkpoint, which means I can't progress. confused.gif

EDIT. I've done it and it worked, but I see another bugs.

1. The mission above is probably cutted. 'Cause it ends after the objective Investigate the cellphone and we don't know how James went to Conference Center.
2. The Culprit mission. When I find myself in a drive-by in the Sultan, that Sunrise with enemies hits in me turning the car and Jackson's not driving. And all the enemies are driving onto me. Luckily I know what's headshot. smile.gif If that part would be with checkpoints, that would be dead-end for me.

The Lost of a Loved one mission, the loaded mission on there was the incomplete version.. Gonna fix it ASAP

I will look into the other bugs. But yes, you will need to replay the case from scratch, since the mission is missing a key part in the story.


"The Culprit" mission, because of any routepoint bugs, I actually used a timeout objective of 2 minutes. Thaty way it is kind of fool proof, but he should of be driving just perfect.

Hell yeah! This storyline is really long, i couldn't play it all yet ^^ but i played the first two chapters and they were AWESOME!
Man, you have lots of work in this and it looks AMAZING!

This was EPIC! All that time it took was worth it. The music really made a difference, it was intense, especially in the last mission! The gunfights were also all balanced and action-packed. And that ending, damn! I really loved this one, hope it's the same with the last desk. smile.gif

lol, Im happy to tell you that, no it is not dead. I have the last case, and still intend on finishing it. Why haven't I just finished yet?? I have no f*cking clue. Laziness and other things. It kind of slipped my mind.

Alright! I am happy to say that the final case for Cold Year is finished and RELEASED! Here it is :

Hope you guys enjoy it! 

DYOM v7.2 was used to complete this case, however if you run it on v8, it should be fine and not cause any problems. This is just a reminder, since you won't see  v8 features on this.

 

So yes, give me your thoughts and feedback about how you think it ended. There are some minor bugs like not hiding actors or objects( This is  caused because I have too many actors, objects and objectives close by), however most of it should be bug free. 

 

Also, use the sound files as well .  :p

 

There will be a Cold Year Complete Edition upload in the  next week or two. Here is what it will have

*Bug fixes on earlier cases (Some causing crashes)

*All the cases in the whole pack (80+ missions)

* Maybe 1 or 2 side missions I cut from the storyline
* On Brother's Blood unreleased Halloween DLC case

*maybe some pdf file that looks like a casse note book lol

 

Anyway, that is all I have to say for now. This case was the first case where I had no idea how to connect to the ending. Hope the final mission is not too difficult.

I played your last case Doublepulse, it was great. The ending was so sad, I know from the begining Walter will be a trraitor.

The sounds were amazing, when James was killed, it was like it was for real. Good job, realy. 5/5  :santa:

Cold Year Conclusion Review

One thing that inspires me to play Design Your Own mission is stories written and designed to create an atmosphere of its own theme and take on a challenging genre. As of fan of crime fiction, I've enjoyed this Story from LnD and Double Pulse, who have both proven that their creativity is the key to the worlds they create in there mission designs. The concluding missions of the series blew me away. Packed with action, drama, and a lot of bloodshed (most of them being members of (SMC), you got a good feeling of things coming to a close. 
 
Something that I always look for when playing a good mission or storyline is good grammar and spelling. Double Pulse got it right on the money. I felt for the characters in this last piece, and that was due to the revelations of what the protagonist had gone through just as well as lovely musical scores that gave a feel of a beautiful darkness. With out giving away the end, I enjoyed going through the obstacles placed before me, and challenging myself to use strategy to complete the mission. If you haven't played this Story from the beginning, download every single piece before playing this! You would really want to know the story behind it all before seeing the final piece come to an end. I'd like to say thank you for bringing something amazing for us to play and be entertained by. Cold Year is in a league of its own.

What version of Cleo are you using?

And what DYOM version too, it might not be needed, but still, gotta' know.

What version of DYOM you're using? If V8, for the FZtH desks 1-3 I'd recommend using V6.1, same with all cases of LnD, 'cause he made them on that version only. If that won't help, then I dunno what else can do. Maybe some mods (if you have them) make it crash?
