I've decided to do a HD re-imagining of GTA: San Andreas that uses multiple protagonists ala GTA V.

In addition to Carl Johnson, there are two more protagonists. Peter Romano, a low-ranking mobster of the Leone Family in Las Venturas, and Shogo Uchiha, a scared Japanese college student living in San Fierro framed for a crime he did not commit and looking to clear his name.

I have decided to add three new gangs as well, one in each city. The gangs are the Huns MC (Based off of the Mongols MC and found in Los Santos), the Yakuza (found in San Fierro), and the Irish Mob (found in Las Venturas).

The radio stations from San Andreas are all there, although K-Rose, K-DST, and Bounce FM get new songs added in addition to their pre-existing playlists, and I have three new radio stations

The three new radio stations are Radio Las Venturas, Rising Sun 99.8, and Radio Darkness.

Radio Las Venturas
Genre: Oldies (1950's and early 1960's)
DJ: Mark Margolis as Antonio Nappa

Frank Sinatra: Fly Me To The Moon
Dean Martin: Aint That A Kick In The Head?
Tony Bennett: Rags To Riches
Bing Crosby: Swinging On A Star
Bobby Darin: Beyond The Sea
Elvis Presley: Burning Love
Bill Haley & His Comets: Rock Around The Clock
Dion & The Belmonts: Runaround Sue
The Everly Brothers: All I Have To Do Is Dream
The Monotones: Book of Love
The Crests: Step By Step
The Crystals: He's A Rebel
Gene Chandler: Duke of Earl
Yuji Ohno: Theme From Lupin III

Information: Broadcasting from the top floor of the High Roller Casino, Radio Las Venturas plays the greatest hits of the Fabulous Fifties and Swingin' Sixties. The DJ is Antonio Nappa (yes, THAT Antonio Nappa), an elderly first-generation Italian-American with a strong sense of fond nostalgia for the days of segregation, mutually assured nuclear destruction, and polio. Nappa also displays a strong hatred for both Radio X and Radio Los Santos, and regularly insults Sage, even calling her station to ramble on and on. It is heavily implied that Antonio Nappa may be connected to the Mafia, in particular the Leone Family and is one of Salvatore Leone's childhood friends. Radio Las Venturas is the favored station of The Mafia.

Radio Darkness
Genre: Black Metal
DJ: Fenriz as himself

Mayhem: Freezing Moon
Burzum: Dunkelheit
Thorns: Home
Satyricon: Mother North
Emperor: I Am The Black Wizards
Darkthrone: Transilvanian Hunger
Venom: Black Metal
Bathory: Necromansy
Celtic Frost: The Heart Beneath
Mercyful Fate: Evil
Sarcofago: The Black Vomit
Sigh: Curse of Izanagi
Sabbat: Black Metal Scythe
Enslaved: Havenless
Endless Dismal Moan: Vampire

Information: Unholy True Kult Black Metal from the cold, grim North can be found on Radio Darkness, broadcasting from a dank basement somewhere in the forests of Flint County. The DJ is Fenriz, the legendary drummer and vocalist of Darkthrone. Radio Darkness is the favored station of the Russian Mob.

Rising Sun 99.8
Genre: J-Pop, J-Rock
DJ: Lucy Liu as Yuriko Motomura

Puffy Ami Yumi: Tokyo, I'm On My Way
Pizzicato Five: Baby Love Child
Hound Dog: Rocks
Asian Kung-Fu Generation: Rewrite
L'Arc En Ciel: Ready, Steady, Go!
Caramell: Caramelldansen
Nana Kitade: Kesenai Tsumi
Sowelu: I Will
Yellow Generation: Tobira No Mukou E
Perfume: Polyrhythm
X Japan: Forever Love
DJ Satomi: Castle In The Sky
Origa: Rise
Origa: Inner Universe
Lilium: Kumino Noma

Information: Broadcasting from Juniper Hill in San Fierro, Rising Sun 99.8 plays Japan's catchiest hits and the DJ is Yuriko Motomura, a very energetic and hyperactive Japanese girl addicted to caffeine, in particular diet soda and energy drinks. She gets various callers, mostly lonely otakus kissing up to her although Mary-Beth from K-Rose and Antonio Nappa from Radio Las Venturas call her station to harass her. Rising Sun 99.8 is the favored radio station of the Yakuza.

DJ Satomi: Castle In The Sky

Not only is DJ Satomi Italian, but he made "Castles In The Sky" well after 1992. You've got a good playlist, but it doesn't fit in 1992.

I knew Castles in the Sky was made after 1992, but so were a few songs on the San Andreas playlist.

However, I did not know that DJ Satomi was Italian. I honestly thought DJ Satomi was Japanese.

Most anachronistic song in San Andreas was from 1993, not more than 10 years later.

Aside from that, techno from the early 90s sounds WAY different music from nowadays. Look up Happy Hardcore. It may be from the mid-90s, but its still different from techno nowadays

Zach West stands on Rocket Street, smoking a cigarette. Papa Was A Rolling Stone by The Temptations begins in the background. Bohan goes by, pushers in SUVs and pimps in convertibles. Zach remains standing at the top of the steps, still smoking. 21 and full of life, he notices a light blue Esperanto come up San Quentin Avenue.
“My ride.” He utters, taking a few last draws before dumping the butt. The Esperanto pulls up and Zach swings open the passenger door, getting in.
“Got the cash kid?” The driver asks, shown only from the mouth down, cigar between his teeth.
“f*ck you bro.” Zach laughs. The driver was Louis Calhoun, Zach’s childhood friend from the block.
“You got it? Chief gonna be pissed if not man.” Louis drops the front, knowing it gets at Zach.
“You damn right I do got it!” Zach reels out a wad of cash. “And a little more than expected. Nigga got paid!”
“Better get it back to Tall Man.” Louis drives away, taking a left on to Attica Avenue.
“What you been doing today L?” Zach sits back, comfortable in the Esperanto.
“Nothing bro, waiting on your ass is all.” Louis replies, slightly annoyed.
“Yo, Chief pays you to drive this bucket, better that than working at Burger Shot!” Zach bites back.
“The nigga hold out much on that bread my man?” Louis changes the topic.
“Beat up on him a little, he gave out in the end.” Zach chuckles, cracking his window to smoke.
“Good ass pay check here man!” Louis grips the unlit cigar in his teeth, pointing it upward.
“Yo, you gonna light it bro?” Zach laughs, passing over his Zippo. Louis lights the cigar and continues driving, turning left to Folsom Way, then right over Turtle Street, and again to Valdez Street. Louis pulls up across the street from the Social Club.
“Wait out here man, I’ll be five minutes.” Zach casually gets out the Esperanto and walks across the street, to the blue door between two convenience stores. He enters, walking down a set of concrete steps and into the smoky pool hall. Zach daps a black shooting pool and nods to the competitor.
“What’s up Cowboy? Big George how’s that game my man?”
“All good little man.” Big George nods back, Cowboy takes his shot.
“Hand it over big boy, all of it!” Cowboys laughs.
“Muh’f*cker.” Big George reels out $50 from his pocket as Zach heads over to Chief’s tables. A strong black sat in a pair of slacks and a blue polo shirt, drinking a glass of water.
“Chief, I got it. And then some.” Zach grins, flashing the cash. Chief takes the money and counts it. He puts a stack aside, then hands Zach a few notes.
“Get yourself a pack of smokes or something, then go hit up this fool on Butterfly Street, I funded a pack for him and he’s still not come up on it. If he holds out, take his ride, clean black Faction, I got a guy who’ll pay big bucks for it.” Chief gives his orders, Zach nods and heads outside.

“Butterfly Street, we looking for a kid in a black Faction.” Zach says as he gets into Louis’s Esperanto.
“You got it bro.” Louis drives off.

“Yo there he is.” Zach spots the black Faction, parked on a lot on Butterfly Street. “Hold up.”
Louis parks up as they observe for a moment. Junkies approach the target, sat in the passenger seat, who takes their money and hands them a small wrap.
“Business is good.” Louis notes.
“Here’s how we do it. Both walk on up, you take the driver, I’ve got the mark. Take out the asshole at the wheel, you got a bat or something?” Zach begins planning.
“I got a hammer in the trunk.”
“A’ight, get up close and put it through the driver’s face. I’ll get the money off the mark, if not we dump the dudes and grab the wheels, got it?”
“I got it man.” Louis pops the trunk and gets out, retrieving his hammer. The pair get half way across Butterfly Street before the Faction speeds out of the lot.
“Motherf*cker!” Zach hands back for the Esperanto as Louis turns with the hammer in hand and pitches it at the speeding car, knocking out a rear light. “Get it!” Zach shouts, revving the engine.

CHASE THE TARGET

The mark heads left out onto Grand Boulevard and continues weaving between traffic until taking a right to Leavenworth Avenue, then left through Northern Gardens, down onto Caterpillar Street then right onto Worm Street, where a Trashmaster cuts it off, forcing the Faction to go into the yard next to the Fire Station.

Louis: They getting out, you got a tool man?
Zach: Got a blade right here.

BEAT THEM UP AND TAKE THE FACTION

Armed with a Pocket Knife, start beating on the two. Louis will focus on the driver so slash the mark a few times. Once he’s sufficiently injured, a cutscene will play.

“Punk motherf*cker!” Zach drives the blade into the target’s ribs, leaving him choking.
“I got the money man…its in the glovebox. Damn this hurts man!” The target cries, Zach yanks the knife out, leaving the target to drop.
“L, come on bro, got what we need.” Zach kicks the target in the face and gets in the Faction as Louis continues beating on the driver.
“I’ll take my ride and call Chief, get a location on that friend of his.” Louis heads back to his ride.

TAKE THE FACTION TO THE CAR DEALER

Follow Louis down Worm Street and he’ll soon call you.

Louis: I got a location, Chief says it’s at the car lot on Spin Street, over on the Point.
Zach: A’ight bro, you coming?
Louis: Nah, I’m gonna go get a bite to eat, meet you at the club?
Zach: See ya in a bit man.

Head over to Spin Street in Chase Point and park outside the Sales and Parts store.

“Hey, I got a fresh one over here!” A young kid yells for others. “Oh she’s clean!” A man wearing a work shirt, tie and blue jeans heads over.
“You Chief’s boy?” The management-type asks as Zach gets out the Faction. “He called ahead, said to expect you.”
“Yeah, this ones hot, stay sharp man!” Zach flicks open his Zippo and lights up.
“Names Dave, don’t worry, we can turn this baby around in no time. Here’s your payment.” Dave hands over a roll of notes. “Let’s get it done people!” The young kid gets in the Faction and drives it into the garage.

HEAD BACK TO THE CLUB

Get a cab or walk back to Chief’s club on Valdez Street. Walk in to trigger the next scene.

Back in the smoky pool hall, Zach walks between the pool tables and over to Chief’s booth.
“Here you go Chief.” Zach hands over the roll, Chief counts it and once again sets aside a large wad for himself, and splits two wads for Zach and Louis.
“Take it. Give half to Louis. Got the twenty he owed, two and a half for you two and a bit of profit for me. Winner takes all son.” Chief sits back and pockets his cash. “Go get some sleep and come back here tomorrow, I’ll be here from 7am, always got sh*t to get done.”
Zach stands up and leaves, shaking hands with Chief.

GET BACK HOME

Make the trek back to the apartment on Folsom Way. Walk through the red door.

“Yo L, you here?” Zach opens the apartment door. The TV is on, Republican Space Rangers is playing. “Louis?!”
“Yeah…sh*t.” Louis groans from his bedroom, where he lays comfortably numb.
“Man, where were you at the club?” Zach stands at the doorway, pissed off.
“sh*t…I musta fell out or something.” Louis sits up drearily, on a comedown.
“What I say about doing that junk man?! You a damn mess!” Zach grabs Louis and drags him through the kitchen and to the fire escape, holding him over the bars.
“Let me go man! Come on! Please!” Louis cries as he vomits from the height. “Zach man please!”
Zach brings Louis back to the kitchen, runs his head under the cold tap and sits him down at the table, ashamed.
“You gonna lay off that sh*t before you get both of us killed?” Zach demands.
“I’ll try, I promise!” Louis pleads.
“Not good enough…” Zach replies, agitated.
“Alright bro…alright…I’ll quit it, I will.” Louis promises.
“Go back to bed man, I’m gonna hit the sack too. I’ll be back at the club tomorrow, you coming?”
“Maybe…just don’t tell Chief alright?” Louis pleads again.
“I won’t, I’m gonna give you the money and if you spend even a dime on that stuff, I’ll rip your eyes out, you seen what that did my Dad!” Zach hands over the money as they part ways into their separate rooms.

MISSION COMPLETE
+$2700

Once 7am the next day hits, a ‘C’ appears back at Social Club on Valdez Street.

I dunno...got bored and wrote it. Introduction to another hood flick with inspiration from Dead Presidents? I dunno, might just be getting rid of some work I've had backed in my brain somewheres. f*ck it, but anyone got any comments/criticisms of this short piece?

Despite never actually made a concept thread before, I was thinking that once school is finished for the year (late October/early November) I was going to creat one.

The basic premise: Set in San Fierro in 1976, it adopts the 3 protagonists system from V, although their relationship will be more so like the IV trinity. You have a middle aged African American pimp who's has to fight off new Asian gangs who want to take over his business operations, a young Chinese immigrant who is pulled into the street gangs of Chinatown and an Vietname verteran who has recently help set up a biker gang.

Not too sure on specifics yet, but does this sound interesting enough to you experienced guys?

Sounds really interesting, this one. I'm guessing he'll have a touch of PTSD?

Yeah that's what I was going for. I want to make a biker story that goes a bit more in depth than TLAD did, and a protagonist different to Johnny- so I thought I would go for a character that's goes back to early biker roots (who were mainly a bunch of Vietnam vets with PTSD).

I'm currently working on the first part of the next chapter for my Family Ties topic. I'll post it when most of this GTA V hooplah has died down.

Expect to see my '76 San Fierro topic some time late October this year. School's tied me down, but I've finally got a map put together:

- South West you will find San Fierro and a large Redwood forest area
- South East you will find Oakfield (Oakland), and further east you will find Mount Sierra (Mount Diablo) and a bit more of an arid area.
- Northwest you will the Nappa Valley, full of farms, vineyards and hippie comunes.
- To the Northwest you will find a permanantly snow covered area based on/around Lake Tahoe.

Any other key aspects of North California I am missing out on?

considering doing a Los Santos reboot of All In The Game; set it a week after the events of V and focus it around the street gangs, it's a concept thread just screaming to be made, more so that I can see how many GTA San Andreas references I can subtlety work in without it becoming a rip off

@Claude4Catalina, so are you going to have multiple protagonists, or just stick to the one? Plus, do you plan on having any characters from GTA V showing up?

I'm gonna stick to one protagonist, have him be a friend of Lamar's, Lamar was always talking about how Franklin owes the hood a living, so I was gonna portray Lamar and this character as running menial tricks to earn a buck.

also, I'm going to give Franklin a role as a minor character, similar to how the ULPC man and Karen were both seen in V

Spoiler
.  I'm also going to flesh out some of the characters from Franklin's Lifeinvader page; and a surprise appearance from a character from TBOGT  ;)

Sounds like a good idea man I don't think street gangs got near enough attention in GTA V (or GTA Online for that matter where they only exist as cannon fodder). Are you gonna reuse the name All In The Game??

I'm contemplating it, trying to think of a title that sounds more West Coast, All In The Game makes me think of the darker side streets of Baltimore and Liberty City.  titles like Menace To Society and Boyz In The Hood sound a lot more like something that Lamar would say, the true flashy gangsterism of the West Coast rather than the reality of the ghetto in Bohan.

Yeah I totally agree with you man. You could maybe call it something generic like Streets of South Central/South Santos and let the content make up for the somewhat basic title.

you remember how much stick I got for Dealing & Stealing having such a sh*t name?  haha I'm gonna sleep on it for a day or two, see what I can come up with.

eh, I want to build on something that's already there, something relatable for the reader.  Once again, my first concept Dealing & Stealing was build from scratch and it felt like the characters were forced into the tie in situations rather than having an established reason to be there.

Haha yeah I remember. I never thought I'd accept The Ballad of Gay Tony as a title but it kinda grew on me over time. If people criticise the name tell them to suggest a better one.. I bet they won't be able to :)

I posted this as a new topic but guess it should have gone here? well anyway here is the link:

http://gtaforums.com...rounding-areas/

I thought i had written alot and that as such some people would not bother to read a wall of text but i now see that there are so many ideas so fleshed out as to have a complete list of radio stations and maps with all the areas named. Do I need to flesh out and organize my idea more for it to get any credibility?

If you do look at it, i hope you enjoy it. I think it would make for a cool story.

Right- GTA V is clearly a masterpiece, it's an amazing game, but I found it boring. I think Rockstar needs to quit basing its GTA's in the USA and start somewhere fresh. Yes I understand that GTA mimics American capitalism and so on but so what, these are all transferable skills. I think the next GTA should be set in Russia, it could be epic. A modern day Moscow-esque city, full of corrupt billionaires, politicians, vice. I also think Rockstar could do a fantastic job in making a Russian city whilst pointing fun at Russian society, we got a small taste of this feel in GTA IV so why not?

It needs to be kept fresh and GTA V simply felt tired and it wasn't the game I thought it would be. Forget the USA, give it a break, though I do love the Carcer City idea (only if it's based on Detroit though, not 'down the road' from Liberty'

PS: Why is it that everyone wants GTA to be set in the USA, is it because you all live in the USA? I live in London and I certainly don't want to see GTA ever set in London...again!

I would like London though, if there were less strict gun laws and more dangerous police... Thats why it is set in the US, the Laws. But, Russia does sounds cool. I can see how a GTA would work there

Anyway, I am making a Concept set in Las Venturas. The Protags are two half-brothers, Jason and Chris Willard. Jason is a methodical, calm criminal, while Chris is a much more aggressive, shot first questions later kind of guy. They have just escaped Death Row in Boilingbroke Penatenary and are now in LV searching for money and connections.

If you like the background, be sure to check it out. It is a WIP, But I am updating it fairly frequently. To get to it, click on the link in my sig. Feedback would be appreciated. Thanks for reading.

I was working on a concept named GTA:Europa which was still on progress until my laptop crashed and i lost all my data, the story took place in europe with european cities such as London, Paris, Madrid, Lisbon, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Rome, Sarajevo, Prague, Istanbul and Moscow. The protagonist would be a British member of the Yardies, who becomes engaged in cross country crime around europe, slowly becoming the crime lord of europe. The added law enforcement would be INTERPOL, who would be after him. I was also thinking maybe MI6 would also be involved in the game somehow. But now i can't develop it any further unless i get a new laptop for my programming. I'm just asking how is the concept?
