Well so, i started working on this sh*t yesterday and it's going pretty swell

Polycount atm is something around 260.000 triangles, but what the hell this is for sa i like cupcakes so why don't you?
texture will probably be around 4096x4096 or something along these lines yeah. turn.gif

In what program did you made z brush , or fist max then adding detail with other program.Btw is nice but fix lil down part of the arm

Awesome work TripleAs.
Why don't you give more detail on that "red thing that cover his balls" or whatever it's called, just like how you give much detail to his body.

Anyway, can't wait to see his head.
Because i'm not sure if it's Kratos without seeing his badass face.

i dont think the detail on the belt is needed....you can just fill that with texture...

And you can achieve detail on his body with using texture too.
But, it's 'cupcake' edition, right?

been searching images for Kratos, so i can give some constructive comment

And i found someone who doin kratos as well
maybe you could use screen of his work as reference on doing yours.

he will surely make a low poly model for kratos and use the bump map for the texture to give more detail because let's face it a model like that won't go into SA or VC due to the polys.

Since when VC support bump mapping ?.

But he's right, maybe you could reduce the polycount a little bit.

Hey everybody thanks for the comments, makes me happy to know you guys like it.

So, I started on the head and made some cheap sculpt on the kilt... or skirt, or whatever it may be called.

I don't actually know if I'm getting him in VC once it's done, I might been a bit.. out of my mind while writing the topic title (of course I'm talking about the game he's for, not about the cupcake edition bit, you'll know more about it later...)

But, then again, if someone is up to the task of getting him into IV then [SA/IV] it is.
Otherwise it'll be just for SA (or vc, if I get bored enough tounge.gif)

I don't like bumping up threads but I thought this was worth it:
The lowpoly isn't done and I haven't started working on it yet. HOWEVER, I'll start doing some small map sorta level thingy for Kratos... and if I'm still interested I'll work on an enemy or two as well.

Looks alright, you need to work on the anatomy, well muscle anatomy because it doesn't look right. Try to keep it in this stance (http://henriquedw.fi.../10/native1.jpg), it's much easier to work on it and better to rig in any game. smile.gif

I started on the lowpoly but there's nothing worth showing atm.
However, as I said before I'm working on a small map as well, but I'm in serious need of a guy who can get all the stuff ingame.

SA actually.
All I need is someone to cut up the model (or I can do that myself, w/e works best for him/her) and place it ingame (if you're willing to make the dff+cols too that'd be awesome tounge.gif)

Really impressive. I was waiting for someone who shared his model online, because no one have done it yet. icon14.gif

Finally, I'd be glad to create ragdoll animations whether the model is rigged. I'll surely have trouble with Kratos' chains, but I planned to remove them when blades are used and make anims for new rigged chains attached to the model. I haven't ever created object animations, so it's time to learn then. wink.gif

Really? Ragdoll anims? Thatd be amazing.
Well, we have someone to take care of getting the map ingame and now you are offering to do some anims.
If I can get someone to work on a simple mission then this mod will be amazing tounge.gif (my idea is to have a few hordes of enemies and a last boss fight with a giant hydra-like boss which could be real good and GOW style if it was a QTE) smile.gif

I think that if I hurry up I can have a alpha of everything map-wise (which means mostly lods and not fancy looking stuff...), maybe I can make a simple enemy that could be cloned to make up for five or six random enemy models (say... enemy1.dff, enemy2.dff and so on...) and a real cheap beta for the Hydra tounge.gif

I guess, Hydra might be the boss of the first and last chapter who will have his movements and attacking animations. I think you should start making normal stupid enemies first.

Indeed, re-creating GOW gameplay may be hard. I want do all animation with completed map before starting to make enemies spawn system by script. I hope someone is able to rig Kratos in time.
