Here's a little teaser trailer:



There's a lot of new content since my last update. I'll make a quick list:
  • Currently there are three camps for the bandits and army
  • Each country village has a scavenger camp now
  • Finished the survivor system: call in survivors at any time
  • Made some missions for the army and bandit camps
  • Made a third story mission
  • Fixed a lot of minor and major bugs
  • New zombie animations!

Scavenger camps are one of the new things I've added lately. Scavenger camps are located in the country villages around San Andreas. These camps are neutral and can be used whether you have joined the army or bandits. You can save your game here but not buy weapons. But the country villages will contain a lot of weapon pickups so it's more attractive to leave the big cities and go to the country.

The survivor system will allow the player to call in survivors he has helped in the special survivor missions. Each big city has one survivor mission, and become available after other certain (story) missions.

Dude, this looks great so far. I like the faction system, it kinda reminds me of Fallout. Zombies will be in free roam too, right?
I really wonder how this mod ends up. How about a beta release?

Thanks Mati. smile.gif Yup, that's right, zombies will spawn randomly around you. I'm still busy with a few missions I want to add in the first beta release. I hope to start the beta-testing at the end of this week and hopefully release the first beta version next week. But I can't promise anything as there are still a lot of things to be done.

The time is almost right to release the first beta version of the mod. Currently we are testing to make everything running good and I'm planning on releasing Saturday.

I have been making a small new feature the last few days which allows the player to create his/her own safe camp/fortress. Watch the video below for more information.

Yes, I strongly suggest to not install it on an installation with any other mods. You'd better install the mod on a clean San Andreas installation.

I've reuploaded the downloadfile to GTAGarage. I deleted the SAMI script and updated the readme. Make sure you install the mod on a clean installation without CLEO mods. Also, try to add and replace the files manually in the gta3.img.

If any of you are experiencing crashing, it's probably because you don't have the CLEO library installed. I first thought CLEO would cause problems but it is necassery to run the mod. If you try to play the mod without the CLEO library, your game will crash after loading.

I've been receiving various messages about minor bugs which will be fixed in the next release. For the next release I want to create two more missions in Los Santos, Bandit/Army faction mission, and move on to San Fierro. I'd also like to create weapon pickups and map edits for the next release.

But I can't do all of this alone so I'd like to ask if people would like to help me. I believe the mod has much more potential and can achieve much more and that's why I need people who can fullfill the following roles:
  • Scripter/Coder - Must be able to create missions and fix bugs/problems.
  • Map Editor - Must be able to make map edits and get coordinates from the game.

Hopefully some people want to help as I can't do all of this alone. It's a lot of work and I really need a helping hand here and there.

i have a suggestion
I think it's getting a little boring if all the survivor are friendly to CJ.
You can add 2 or more survivors which friendly to CJ first, but after some
mission, the "evil" survivor will betray CJ and try to kill him. Or you can meet
a survivor that actually the person who cause the zombie outbreak and the
final mission, we must kill him and someone call CJ to go to the evac site. While CJ go to
the evac site, you can add a giant mutated monster. That could be the final boss of the campaign,
and the player must kill the monster before the monster reach the evac site. You can
put a heavy firepower to defeat the monster, for the example is Tank Rhino.

I was wondering if there is anyone out there who could help me revive the mod. I haven't made any progress on the mod in the last few months because I kinda screwed up the scripting part. If there is anyone who could help me get things sorted out, I would really appreciate it. So if you have some experience with SCM coding, please help me.

I guess I'm Left 4 Dead with this, but it doesn't matter. I found a way to fix the problems with the coding/scripting part and can finally move on and make progress. I just finished the first army safe camp in San Fierro. Next thing I want to do is make the intro mission, but I have no clue what to make of it. I don't really know a good introduction to the apocalypse for CJ. Beside that I want to finish the final two missions in Los Santos and permanently move on to San Fierro, Angel Pine, Bone County and Las Venturas. If anyone has a good idea or suggestion, post it here!

Revolution-Designes my game crashes no matter how I try to install it.It always crashes halfway at the loading screen.I tried a new game,loading a game,everything.Could you include a SAMI script or something?Because i tried for about 5 times manually replacing and adding every file to gta3.img.

Yes, each and every safe camp you unlock will allow you to save your game.

I made a SAMI script but it didn't work very well, just make sure you added and replaced the correct files and don't forget to rebuild the archive. Also make sure you install everything on a clean installation of San Andreas with CLEO3 installed. I will try to make the installation easier in the next version.

I'm not planning to include a first person view but you can always download a mod for that yourself. The free mode will feature a survivor mission in each city, if you complete it you can call the survivor you helped and he/she will join your group and help you. You can call up to 3 survivors at any time.
