Because guys like Robin Thicke need to wear them, the manwhore. It would make sense if the target demographic for the MTV Music Awards was 65 plus. There was also a commercial with an older mechanic who needed his teeth fixed.

Will he be back tomorrow?

Will his new username also involve Gnad?

Things have been sorted out, if anyone have a question, just check my profile. Thanks.

Why isn't there a "children" mod for GTA. At least for the 3D generation, it seems like all you would have to do is scale down a pedestrian model and re-texture it. Doesn't seem like it would be too hard, would it?

There's a cultural stigma against this sort of thing.

Asked this on the technology thread but no answer yet:

What's the desktop equivalent of the Adreno 330 GPU (mobile device GPU)?

Preferably AMD.

Well, it makes a little sense; we're gradually becoming more accepting of expressions of that which people find distasteful but it's not going to go away overnight.

How much trouble can one get in for stalking? As in staring uncontrollably at whenever that person is nearby? And knowing that the aforementioned person wants to claw your eyes out yet hasn't done so already? The chill side of me says nothing, but the paranoid side of me says a weekend getaway with some waterboarding dude.

Just gonna try to get it all out of my system before I graduate. Hopefully I that's a decent way of rehabilitation, getting it all out of your system.

Dude, that's pretty creepy.

If you do it a lot, he/she might think your face just looks like that, so you could be okay...but, I wouldn't take any chances. Try not to stare, and try to get your head distracted by something or someone else.

Finn and Otter: True, we are slowly loosening up our morals. When was the last time we've been able to kill pet dogs in a video game? I don't know if we'll ever allow children, but I was thoroughly surprised when I found out that we could freely kill pups in GTA V.

I haven't played call of duty but isn't the new one a big dog killing rampage? What about fallout? You kill dogs in that. The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, etc

If you are truly being serious; Just stop it now.  I'm telling you as a true dude friend.

Even if you don't mind her not wanting to be a friend or whatever - keep in mind she has the power to label you a freak...and people might listen.

It's my ex, she knows what my face always looks like. People say I look like either a stoner or a speed freak. I never seem to be free from the drug label.

keep in mind she has the power to label you a freak...and people might listen.

Joke's on her, I've got 4 months left till I graduate :p

But seriously though, I'll try my best to stop stalking her.

Is it because we think kids are more "innocent" and helpless? But, when faced with a murderer and a gun, aren't we all just about as equally helpless as any other unarmed person?

R* did put Jimmy and Tracey in the game, which was ballsy because we think of them as someone's kids, but no one seemed bothered by it. So, we'll see where it goes in time.

Stop it, it can get you in some serious sh*t in more ways than one. If you can't yourself, you should really considering seeing a mental health professional.

Morals in video games, there has too be limit. I personally would not buy a game that allows players to kill children, that's just taking it a step too far.

Fallout 1 and 2 allowed you to kill children except in the UK version, but that was patched to allow it again.

Only mental health issues I've got is evidently aspergers. My mom keeps telling me I've got aspergers and I was speech delayed because of it, but that aside and obsessions with trains, New Kids, and GTA, I don't really feel much of it. Maybe my ex slipped under my nose as an obsession? Oh f*ck.

I also remember last year, I was on some meds for depression and I was taking a shower and I kept seeing and feeling these spiders crawling up on me. Problem was, the spiders weren't really there. I bust out of the bathroom with a towel around me yelling out to my mom that there's spiders in the shower, only to come to realize that there weren't really any spiders there.

I think I may be mentally ill.

Why? Besides, what's the distinction between killing virtual kids and massacring droves of old people in GTA? in fallout you can kill children, but the in game penalty is severe. You're labeled as a child murderer and are vilified by just about every character from then on out. In GTA you can beat 50 old ladies to death with a steel dildo and nobody bats an eye. If we're talking about a moral limit in videogames I can guarantee we've all went over the 'killing kids' bar by playing the series that this forum is dedicated to.

This.

I can stand in the middle of the street in Grand Theft Auto and mow down 50+ pedestrians with a machine gun, but for some reason kids are too far? Why are adults less valuable than children?

Yeah it did, hence the removal in the UK version. Of course back then games weren't as huge so it managed to stay in in the rest of the world, I doubt that would have happened today. Of course there were even worse things that almost made it to the game, such as this pipboy image of the childkiller label you had attached to you if you murdered a kid. 031babykiller.gif

That picture reminds me of something George Carlin said once:

It's more personal than anything else.  I can't substantiate it, because logically it is a quite ridiculous stance not to say hypocritical, especially in the day and age of shenanigans like the movie "God Bless America". Yes, I am well aware I'm throwing myself under the bus here.

@Universe What you are describing can be anything from Autism to Paranoid Schizophrenia, so please get yourself check out. Things can turn ugly really quickly when one is in a fragile mental state.

I am a child myself, so I can't really have a real opinion, but I honestly think that it's because children are more defenceless, by children I mean children, not Jimmy/Tracey sort of kids.

Children are more defenceless being in something like a fist fight (Silly example, I know), an adult will atleast know basic defence, whereas a child can't really do anything, they can't do anything, well of course, it depends on their upbringing but still you can see my point.

Just ignore me, I'm bad at arguing.

It's disturbing is why it's too far. Like, imagine how sh*tty you'd feel if you installed a children mod for GTA and spent an hour or two going out of your way to kill children with their children screams and cries of anguish. It'd be like that feeling you get after watching too many shock videos. I don't know how moral guardians think, but I imagine they get that feeling just by hearing about it being possible in a game, and then the players who are against it with all their heart might do it accidentally and feel like sh*t.

For what it's worth, killing dogs is always a bummer imo too.
