Is it normal to PM someone who you noticed looking at your profile and then demand to know why they were looking at your profile? Hilarious!

Dont feel too special.
I visit profiles to view ratings/rate them usually, or how many posts they have.

Often I go to message and then decide I have better things to do.

@Linc, I may have been,I don't really remember changing it, It just kinda happened.

I had kept a buzzcut all summer until late October. From then on, I've let it grow out quite a bit. Now, I'm having to style it. It doesn't feel very comfortable, and I really don't like taking all the time to keep it proper. The buzzcut really felt great, and I loved having it. The problem is that I look a bit odd with a buzzcut. Should I just go with what I feel better with (shave it back off)?

Does your hair grow out or grow down

My hair grows down, so I feel fine. If it grows out like an afro, you should try putting conditioner in your hair and seeing how that works. If that doesn't work for you, why not spike your hair up like some Liberty Spikes or a mohawk?

If that doesn't work, you could always wear a fancy hat everywhere you go.

Oh wow, Liberty Spikes. He'd really fit in if he was in 9th grade.

My hair grows down. I've got it swept to the side right now. It looks good, but I don't like having to style it and long hair is uncomfortable for me these days.

But he is, isn't he? I was in 9th grade when I was 14.

@GoldenBlade - If you have the whole thing swept to the side, have you thought about letting it set down on both sides? I know I just posted this in that "member photos" thread, but it's how I wear it, and when you say you sweep it to the side, it makes me think of how that bummery Skrillex has it.

My hair isn't that long. I stated that I've been growing it out from a buzz cut since October. It's only about 2-3 inches.

Alrightyroo, useful to know.

So I'm guessing when you mean "swept to the side", you mean something like this? Or is it like something else?

I'm talking about the left side of my hair and the top are curved to the right.

So the majroity of your hair is swept to your left side of your head and the top bit is curved to the right? It's hard to imagine without pictures, but damnit I'm trying.

Why not either keep all your hair on one side or let each "side" of your hair get it's own side of the head like in the first pic I posted?

I'm fine with the way my hair is. It's just that I prefer a buzz cut. Buzz cuts feel really great for me. I look a bit weird with them though. I don't know if I should keep my current hair, or just go ahead and shave it back off (which I like the feeling of).

Do you actually look wierd, or is it just the shift from long hair to short that made you think that? I felt that the last time I got my hair cut.

I'm not exactly sure. It may just be the sudden change. I'll probably just shave it back off. It's what I think feels good, and really that's all that matters.

If you're gonna shave it off and try to "get rid" of that weird feeling you said you have, make sure you keep it shaved. Perhaps going over it each week with some trimmers may help?

This is probably a strange question, but I can't find anything on Google. I was looking at a map of Canada, and I was wondering, is there a name for the isthmus located at the bottom of Ontario? It seems like a geographically prominent feature, especially being rather densely populated compared to the rest of the nation. The region I'm asking about is highlighted in red. Thanks.

That's actually a mapping curiosity rather than an isthmus. Where it is not bordered by the great lakes, it is bordered by the Yanks. If you look the area on, say, google maps, it loses a little of it's prominence. Yet, territorially, it make a lot of sense as the great lakes make up the majority of the border.

You might try "Recuva"

Recuva is great but somewhat limited by the way it parses file systems. Good for basic recovery from a newly formatted disk, not so great for digging out stuff that's been subject to multiple formats.
If you've got access to a Linux-based OS, then might I recommend OCFA?

Nothing free will be any good at digging out files that have been subject to a zero or random fill, for that you need commercial grade forensics software.

I don't have Linux but I've heard it's great for this sort of thing.  I used Recuva a few years back as recommended by a friend and it was useless with older files.  It may have gotten better but I doubt it.

I shaved me head about a half a year ago, it felt fulfilling and freeing, but carried disdain from certain compatriots (except one guy who thought I looked like Walter White). The question being should I shave it again?

No. Free yourself of the tyranny of low maintenance haircuts.

Buzz cuts (crew cuts) are safer, less chance of giving leverage in a fight, less likely to get infected by vermin, and safer around moving machinery. :^:
