Well to have these graphics, you can be sure I only installed last VisualIV, and ENB release in first post, with ENB update. Then I added injected FXAA, HD roads and vanni's trees mod ! And with all parameters in "high" in game, I got this look. It's like that on all Pcs' I've tried icon14.gif

If you want you can also try to download the "full pack" of all the mods I use, I've put it in download on my blog, I got nothing else on my game smile.gif
Maybe you can take some screens so I can see how it looks on your computer biggrin.gif

I like the first greenish water for Visual IV. The new one is too green.

But I have two interesting pics. This is a result of rasing the draw distance in the timecycle.dat. Not done by me, it was done by the creaters of Visual IV. Its a new backround lol.

It seams the far away darkening glitch that appeared on patch 6, 7, and EFLC does not occur in QUB3D. But I noticed that in the title screen when it goes through the cubes and out you can see the sky (Xbox 360) but on PC its the same color as the black circle under the map.

I only installed VisualIV, then I saw this topic and I guessed that this is so exciting and REALISTIC!

so, is ENB series needed?

Well VisualIV without ENB is good, but with ENB like nkjellman ENB, it's way better ! So, yes, ENB is needed. You have to install VisualIV, and then the ENB by nkjellman, downloadable in first post icon14.gif

The effects from ICEnhancer were created with bloom. I have them working, well at the same time enhancing the bloom. It seems to of inhanced many visual elements of the game, and has added a slightly more natural look to the game. The sun setting looks better now and things bloom more, and the city looks awsome at ngiht.

Ill post more screens tomaro. Id like to show you guys how when you fly high on a cloudy day the bloom and the cloud effect work together to make the effect of flying through the clouds. I got this effect back on my SA settings so I could make it look like when your up high your above the clouds, but that would be harder with GTA 4.

I havent tested my enb on VisualIV (1.7.7). Im making my own costom modifyed version of Visual IV so it works best with this mod. That is tweaking things to fix bugs, using features from different Visual IV versions that best fit with this setting. Things will be tweaked. But it still as a wholl is using Visual IV. I havent worked on the new textures yet. Ive been busy with school. Id like lens flare to be as it is, not very noticable, but still there. The sharpen clouds I will work on because some times of the day dont have any clouds.

Ive given the Vice IV team permission to use this mod, as long if its ok with the creators of Visual IV.

Edit: So I will release V2 before the week ends. Sunday will be the latest. Ill put together a release, and it will be just one download to have everything dealing with this mod.

Later I plan to retexture:
-Trees. They will be the ones recomended by vava, but they will be summertime trees rather than fall.
-Grass. Does not look to natural. The grass will go along with the summertime trees.
-Darken some areas on the ground, for example Helitours, and the Airport. There way too bright.
-I will darken some WTC textures for WTC 0.3. Some are too dark, for example the lobby, and the plazza.
-Sand on the beaches.

And ofcourse Ill try to improve what ever I can

I think there are going to be more people following the mod once progress becomes further along. But still thanks for the support. Its one of the important things that keeps a mod going.

I second that I started following yesterday ,right now I'm using patch 4 but I find I get best performance with patch 7 keep up the great work I for one see a lot of potential in it. biggrin.gif

Thanks. This is one of those rare configs made for patch 1.0.7.0. You see I like good graphics, but I also like Maltiplayer and TLAD and TBOGT. In a way patch 1.0.7.0 can look better because the new shaders are not as fuzzy as the old.

Edit 2: @Vava720: The Injected FXAA is a seprate mod from ENB series. That version had the dll renamed. That mod works with out enb, and on other games.

thought I'd add a +1 for this mod/config ^_^

started playing GTAIV again yesterday (played about 2/3rds of it on 360 after launch) spent ages fiddling with various ENB versions using 1.0.4 and 1.0.7 with varying degree's of luck, using vava's config of this version was the easiest and by far the prettiest version (plus 1.0.7 means GFWL runs so I get achievement points tounge.gif ) I put in the ultimate textures pack as well that seems to be working fine (I think only got a chance to play 5mins covering day and night but no glitches) I wouldn't want to run all that on a system slower than mine though without lowering the settings a little so anyone curious I'm playing with the setting's listed above on 1920x1200 resolution and I'll put my relevant system details below

CPU=2500K at stock speeds
GPU=AMD 6950 again at stock
RAM=8GB DDR 1600
anything beyond that doesn't matter for framerates although if anyone is curious about getting better performance in their games GET AN SSD even if you run it as a cache load times are *vastly* lower. won't affect framerates at all obviously but saving/loading and load screens all will take soooooo much less time

oh little sidenote I found kinda awesome I didn't experience in other EBN configs, cause night time is dark and the lighting is very well done if you smash the headlights on your car driving around at night is vastly harder tounge.gif awesome little side effect of more realistic lighting, can see it annoying some people but hell you could always hit shift+f12 to turn off ENB temporarily when you smash your headlights at night or fiddle with the lighting settings a little so it's not so dark at night (it's not black can't see anything overly dark just realisticly dark for what you'd expect at night time)

Whats new in V0.2:
-New clouds that are improved alot from the old ones
-Water shaders are updated to the current Visual IV one
-Greener water from Visual IV implmented (Visual IV's creater's first attempt)
-Reflective blood from the new Visual IV
-New Bloom effects
-ICEnhancer effects implmented (tweaked alittle bit)
-Injected FXAA by Some Dude
-Trees updated to look alittle more natural

The download of V0.2 is only one download, however there are some download links in the read me to other mods I recomend installing.

You can also try to use a MU "unlocker" (I don't know how to say in english), but like Speed-debrid, freedeb, etc...

I popped on last night to post some more on using this since I'd had a chance to play for hours only to find a new version out tounge.gif so grabbed that put it on and started playing more (well I put on DreamIV3.0 which I presume has all the new V0.2 stuff in it) so now I've had a bit of a chance to use that I had a couple of questions (btw I'm only running Dreams pack with his textures+ultimate textures on patch 1.0.7 no other mods at all currently)

My first was going to be about the redsky since I have it up about a quarter of the time but seems there's at least a minor solution posted to goto original sky which I'll try when I'm home (which given that redsky doesn't actually bug me 'that' much having it glitch to normal sky sounds like barely an issue to me smile.gif )

second was I seem to be getting an identical bug to the sky one sometimes with grass or similar large areas have others run into that/know a fix/workaround? it's not as common but then again I don't run into those textures in game anywhere near as much (where obviously the sky is there almost the entire time)

also with this new version I've run into a new graphics glitch (half intented half glitch if it's what I assume it is) which I'm assuming comes from lense flare..basically it triggers off things it shouldn't and I've often seen characters wandering around particularly in cinematics with 'shadows' stretching away from them, I'll see if I can manage a screengrab at some point also sometimes lense flare effects pop up when there's no reason for them to be there and look a little intense, is there settings to fiddle the effect down in sensitivity/intensity a little?

If I can be bothered I might play around with the light settings at some point to make it just a tiny bit less dark at it's darkest but that's a personal taste thing not a problem (although I could see it being an issue for anyone running on a monitor/tv that's mediocre quality since it'd be a lot harder to distinguish the blacks)

annoyingly certain glitches I have no idea if they would belong to base GTAIV or not as these are my first play's with the PC version so any crashes I'm blaming on the game itself at this point (it seems to be fussy about alt-tabbing sometimes and if anything pops up in the background that forces it to minimize it locks up but I'd bet those are the original games fault)

I'm loving these tweaks guys amazing work and compared to the other things I tried very stable, if you had any tips on how I might alter my lense flare problem (cause it may well be specific to me/my system) I'd greatly appreciate it ^_^

p.s when people comment that they use the same settings as you Vava with different results one possibility is that different hardware/software (especially if you swap between graphics card manufacturers or DirectX versions) may well produce different results with identical settings (I found on my system some highly praised preset ENB configs turned out ultra bright washed out like I'd maxed the contrast)

p.p.s for anyone curious about performance minimums I posted my computer spec's on page 14 of this thread, that's more than enough to run this completely smooth (I stated I seemed to be pushing the minimum for smooth but there was some stuff running in the background that used enough resources to make a difference without that I'd say this isn't stressing my system at all)

*edit* I *knew* I forgot something.. the other thing I wanted to know if you can alter the explosion radius or whatever it is in that regard that's changed that causes mass explosions. I trashed a car last night and sat watching for literally several minutes as the explosion spread and got fed more and more it's pretty awesome but is a little insane that anytime a car blows up it causes an infinite chain of detonations until you go far enough away for things to reset (I actually had to do that later in the night cause I needed to use that area and the madness wouldn't stop tounge.gif ), I seem to remember seeing a comment earlier saying this was a result of the mod sorry if I'm wrong
