Build Up Your San Andreas Gang is the first game of its genre and the only one which was sucessful, unlike Let Your Own Faction Rise or Create Your Own Character, hosted by Secronom President and released on January 8, 2011 at 04:22 (GMT - 5:00 Hours). It has currently 112 missions and more than fifteen different designers (retired or still active, some banned). It is currently under the tenth version (V1, V2, V2.1, V3, V3.0.1, V4, V5, V6, V6.0.1 and V6.1). The first goal of the game is simple; you pick up a gang (Orange Grove Families, Ballas, Los Santos Vagos, Varrios Los Aztecas, Russian Mafia, San Fierro Triads, San Fierro Rifa, Da Nang Boys, Leone Mafia Family, Sindacco Family, or/and the Forelli Brothers) and design missions about them. What's fun with this game is that it's a mix of real life and that your missions can turn into a storyline. The rating system goes, depending on how good is your mission good, from $0, which is an impossible to play mission, to $100, which is a perfect mission. Nowadays, you must create your own gang and raise it to the top. The staff member rating the mission must rate it following these criterias; length, difficulty, variety, text (punctuation, grammar, etc.), and other stuffs (like text coloring, bug-free, etc.). If you put your best in your missions, there are big chances you will get a good rate. If you don't, well, you'll see for yourself... Between V3 and V4, there was a huge change: new features adding a roleplaying feeling to the game and more. Between V4 and V5, there was also a huge change: the gangs were from the SAES:RPG server on MTA. Between V5 and V6, there one major change: you must create your own gang, you start with nothing apart from you, you have the possibility to raise your gang through seven different levels (level 0 (unoficial), level 1 (official), level 2 (official), level 3 (official), level 4 (official), level 5 (official), level 6 (elite)) which require you to achieve some requirements, you can make allies and enemies (which allows gang wars, you must complete missions to gain gang members, etc. In V6.0.1, a new rating system was implement. The two new criterias were Realism and Text Coloring. Gang Wars feature was removed and new jobs were made to give people more chances at joining the BUYSAG staff. In V6.1, the Gang Wars feature was added back, the rating system was edited (removal of the Text Coloring criteria), three new statistics appeared (Gang War Won, Gang War Lost, Type (Gang: Criminal, Police: Squad, Company: Civilian) and the Gang Levels were edited (rewards and requirements. Also, level six was removed.) Also, it is the second most popular thread in DYOM: Missions and DYOM: Support followed by DYOM Missions Review. It has 102 pages and 2026 replies.

As it is one of the most popular threads and staying alive on its own, they staff members didn't want to pin it. But, since it won the award it won, it got pinned and everyone is happy and saying congrtulations to Secronom President (note: he is the only designer who won two awards: Most Helpful and Best Topic on DYOM forums.) Its goal is to unite all the missions into a single thread, yet there are only a few. The concept of this thread is simple; ask for your mission pack thread to be put in the list and it'll be done. Now, to get deeper in the threads' history, let's talk about the reviewers. At first, there was AznKei. Then, somewhere around 2010 or 2011 (I am not sure...), Secronom President asked him if he could help him doing some reviews. After a test, it was concluded he had the skills and answer was yes. After some time three more joined their ranks; jetjatin, SatournFan, and maliksusanto. If you want to be one, you either need to PM him or ask in the thread.
This thread was made by Secronom President on December 23, 2011 at 15:22 (GMT - 5:00 Hours). This is the "Palace of all DYOM Movies." These movies are made with DYOM, but aren't just cutscenes made. There is also gameplay. Everything is then edited on a video editing program and published on YouTube.com.
Currently, there are sixty four videos from GalacticXp1 and twenty two videos from LnD (leoncj.)
This thread is similar to AznKei's one, only you make a video of you giving commentaries and voice-acting the mission. Doublepulse is the one who initiated this idea on February 9, 2011 at 21:13 (GMT - 5:00 Hours). The first video was made by himself on February 15, 2011 at 06:17 (GMT - 5:00 Hours) and the selected mission was, The Desert Attack, by Chimpso. Since then, the two major people doing video 'reviews' are AznKei and himself.

In this topic, you will find useful info about programs to use to record and edit your trailers and tutorials on how to use them.Also, here's a list of the trailer makers; jetjatin, pauliux2, SevilleCheng, Drift-Kingz (on recess), Uros12, xMatix, leoncj, and Brian Walker. Some of them retired from making them, and some made a few ones but were not added into the list. Service has been a little bit slow lately, but don't worry.

The Johnny Nixon Chronicles is the first mission pack of its genre; it involved many different designers into making the storyline's missions. It was published on December 19, 2010 at 11:22 (GMT - 5:00 Hours) by Jimmy_Leppard. The participant involve active, retired, or banned members. The idea came from the approach of the 10 000th mission in the DYOM missions database on dyom.gtagames.nl. The storyline consisted of 28 missions made by 16 different designers; mati1501, Jimmy_Leppard, Doublepulse, pauliux2, TonyCJ, SevilleCheng, GTA!!!, Samil, UNRATED69, xMatix, OG Thug, SatournFan, Brian Walker, C!TRU5~M!XX3R, volan123 and me, Secronom President.The introduction was published by mati1501 on December 19, 2010 at 16:22 (GMT - 5:00 Hours) and the last mission was also published by mati1501, in two parts, on January 29, 2011 at 07:09 (GMT - 5:00 Hours). The mission pack is available on GTAGarage and it was downloaded by Secronom President. Here's the link for the download: Johnny Nixon Chronicles.

Most of them were unwritten rules now made official. At the moment, it contains eleven rules (rules one to nine, credits to Secronom President; credits to xGhostx for rules ten and eleven.) Another topic was also created to discuss the rules, share ideas, suggestions, etc.
Both were later removed, but there rules are still enabled.
