Didn't see a PES 2012 topic, and it's annoying to see that FIFA one has 4 pages already. sly.gif
So yeah, use this to discuss the upcoming game in the PES series. We can also share each others PC/PS3/360 details once the game is out, so we can play online together.

After a few games which were quite disappointing(from '08-'10), PES 2011 made a great return and introduced a bunch of great new gameplay improvements and edit mode options. I loved it, but there is so many that can be improved to reach perfection. It's still too early, but here is what we know so far, and what is the wishlist of the many(including me tounge.gif )

What they said so far is:
Improved team work - The whole freedom of movement which was introduced in PES 2011, they felt it was ''abused'' with better players. Both defence and attack and the tactics are said to be tweaked
Improved visuals - Better lightning and other stuff during replays and in the gameplay itself.
New gameplay and edit modes - Self-explainable, also, all the current ones are set to have more upgrades.
Return of CL and EL fully licenses - We'll see if EL is fully licenses though.
Some revision of the trophies/achievements - More trophies/achievements and removal of some ''boring ones''.
Improved Online and MLO - Inter-community rivalry, whatever that is.
What i and many others on PES forums personally hope for is:
Improved stadium editor - Ability to set capacity, much more stand options, better cameras to zoom in while in the editor, more room for stadiums to be created, ability to place fan flags instead of like it is now-repeatable images, ability to change the pitch type(grass, stone, dirt, etc)
Improved edit mode - More enhancements to League editor, player editor, boots and so on. To actually be able to create your own custom league, and add it to Master League, etc, rather then having to edit over. Chats to actually be longer and less repeatable.
Master League - Bigger youth teams, D2 leagues everywhere, not just where you play
Improved MLO 2012 - Ability to use custom stadiums and players online(2 max or so), players to be restricted to your team only;not for sale;and to have a certain number of skill pts to be allocated before joining team, so they ain't all with 99 skills;revision of the divisions and ranking system to be like real soccer tables, and to be more divisions(20 max i'd say), fully without lag(pes 11 still had a bit of it sometimes), penalties for cheaters and on purpose dis-connectors, possibly addition of 10 randomly generated players each week to the server.
Licensing - To actually have all of the teams from the Europa League group stage licensed, and to keep the past licenses with possibly some additions, more teams for MLO, and not some useless restrictions like last year. More national teams as well.
Speed of play - Just a bit slower play offline, online seems like the right pace(could be because of a bit of lag), but offline still seemed too fast sometimes when you play with top teams.
Weather - Return of snow, and weather to have more impact on gameplay, as well as wind. Possibly each weather to have a few varieties, and maybe even changeable weather during game. And such weather to appear online too.
So, go ahead, lets discuss the new PES.

PES used to beat fifa up until 08/09 when they dumbed it down for some reason and then Fifa just ran with it and made a fantastic game. I think PES will be back in a few years as top dog

Loved the update in the series in the last game but it did have many flaws that i hope get ironed out in this next outing. I absolutely hated the fact that most of the time any defender could literally out pace and then out muscle any attacker when in the opponents half, i know it sorts of stops the 'give the ball to Ronaldo or Messi and run' people and tries to get them to actually pass the ball around but it's bullsh*t.

Still looking forward to an improved game.

Getting a bit bored of FIFA 11 and actually prefer the better graphics and 'arcadiness' of FIFA World Cup 2010. I liken that game to being a mix of FIFA and PES.

FIFA 11 is getting kind of too realistic in a boring way when it comes to shooting. I really miss being able to shoot miles outside the box and get it in or at least on target.

I didn't play PES 2011 except for the demo but I think for a change of gameplay and scenery I will consider PES.

There's too much stuff on FIFA that I really don't bother with which I'd prefer to go in to the graphics. After putting in FIFA 11 after FIFA World Cup 2010 - there's a serious downgrade in the graphics.

PES, has had much better looking graphics so I look forward to seeing the next installment, hopefully they get rid of the f*cking rainbow power gauge. I couldn't play with it on. Those damn Japanese tounge.gif

Good news everyone, we have a release date: http://www.gamespot....e...all;title;7

September 27th. PES decided to have a go for the first time ever on the same day as FIFA. Lets see if that helps, but seeing that they are releasing it early, i'd say that they are quite confident it'll turn out great.

Such early release date means we may be getting a playable demo of PES in the next 2-3 weeks. happy.gif

That's amazing! I've been since forever a fan of PES. Didn't play PES 2011 as much as I did PES 2010, but I'm sure it'll be great. Thanks for keeping us informed about it, Andy. September 27th, 2011 is a near date. turn.gif

I actually want to just see improvements to ML, MLO, and a bigger and better stadium editor, as well as the return of snow, the fun factors surrounding the games that is.

The gameplay of 11 was way better then those from 08-10, and i'd be happy if it stays that way in '12

No chance, your looking at 1-2 weeks before release for a demo to hit.

Good to see we are getting an earlier release then the usual October window.

Gameplay video. Gameplay itself looks similar and just a bit improved then PES 2011 to me.
http://www.gametrail...718478?type=flv
Which is good, because 11 went the right direction. I just hope they tweak out the edit modes the ML and MLO and that's about it then for me. But it doesn't seem like they will. confused.gif

Here is another mini preview: http://forums.evo-we...&postcount=3819

There will also be a new licenced league in PES this year, Portugal Superliga!

Well at least they have gotten rid of that damn catch up bug, that did my head in the last game. The dribbling looks a lot better, animations are still very average, Fifa's is still much better. Gameplay looks good though, seems they have actually listened to fans this time which is good to see.

I like PES. I never had it but played my share of it with my cousin. I always bought FIFA but PES seemed to have nice mechanics for some reason. Although I like FIFA because of the Licencing. For some reason I find the licencing really important. Maybe I'll try PES this year depending on what you guys say about it after September 27th. biggrin.gif

Some new screens and information:

Info:
myPES - New mode in which you can make your custom lobbies, take part in MP matches with a group of friends, share your avatar or whatever, and say are even rumoring you can take in game screens(something like, pause during gameplay and a new free camera in pauses) and a replay recorder. The last two are just rumors
demo - Demo will also be translated to arabic, and it'll be out in the ''coming weeks''. I assume it's soon
Training Challenges - They are back
Old penalty system - Good old system with the camera behind the player, rather then the one used in PES 2011
Football Life - Apparently a new mode mixing ML and BAL, but it's still rumored.

Screens:
Traning Challenge
user posted image
Opening Scenes of the game will now also feature player warmups, and also, you may notice fans look more realistic now. part of them in top left corner all have their scarfs risen up, which adds to the atmosphere and it looks cool.

The few pics below are from this new mode ''Football Life'' apparently.

Look at the stands, there are barely any people, this is a sign that you can finally set up capacity again like in PES 6, and possibly set it up in stadia editor as well. This may also be the ''football life'' thing, Lazio has default PES players(Jaric) so maybe they start off from D2 as a mini club with barely any fans, etc, and you gotta make them a big club. But it could also be simple ML or maybe even MLO.

Some bug apparently on AC Milan shorts, i believe they'll fix this, it's probably from the alpha stage, but who knows lol

Ajax vs Barca CL, you can see a banner from the AJAX stadium featured

More CL, more fan banners.

Pretty sure, problem is that it is a new mode and no solid information has been released on it yet. In PES 2011, it was called 'Be a LEgend' mode were you controlled one player, but apparently this 'Footbal Life' is mixture of both, where you play the player and then when you retire, you can become a coach (I think)

I just hope they have made it so you can change clubs in Master LEague, can't believe they havn't implemented this after years and years of requests for this.
