sh*t I was about to do a thread about metro sad.gif

I just heard that a sequel is on the way and I'm really happy about it, 2033 is one of my favorites games.

10 minutes of new gameplay situated around a swamp area (with commentary).

The wiping of the mask is a simple idea but it's a great touch to add to the game. The sounds of scurrying around the swamp are great too, gives the area a bit of extra life to it.

A bit more too.

Looks pretty good. I loved the atmosphere in Metro 2033 and judging by the videos I saw it seems even more promising now icon14.gif
It's an underated game for sure, more people need to know about these games.

I don't like the new watch. In the video where he is in the swamp area, there is too much ammo stashes and weapons

The requirements are very low and the game is as beautiful as the others. (If not the most beautiful, as some reviewers stated)
Going to buy it.

I'm actually excited for this game! Metro 2033 was excellent, one of the few games that I've ever finished, and wished it was longer.

Anyone have a clue if I'll be able to play Last Light? I realize it is not out yet, but is there a good chance I can play it at all? There isn't anything my PC cannot handle at the moment, but I realize this game isn't coming from a AAA studio, and it'll probably be optimized badly.

XFX HD5670 GDDR5 OC 512MB
6GB DDR3 Ram
Intel Core-i3 2100 3.10ghz
Windows 7 64bit

EDIT: Only thing I'm not hyped about is the fact that Ranger mode isn't included in the normal version, not a big deal since I usually suck ass at games, but hudless would've been interesting.

Can't wait for this, played the first not long ago after getting it in that THQ Humble Bundle and loved it. Plus I got this one free with my graphics card so just waiting for the 17th now.

Im really enjoying this game. Love the vibe and setting. Has anybody read the book? I really need a book to read over the summer and am wondering how it holds up.

Do read the book, it's quite good. It really picks up the pace near the halfway point, I could not stop reading until it was over.

On the game, loving it a lot. Plays pretty well, runs decently on this old laptop, looks very good, and is quite fun.

Great game, but it doesn't seem to have the same.."wow" factor 2033 did/does on me.

Alot of fun, and still has the atmosphere. Didn't get far yet, wonder if there will be another Library type level like in 2033.

Has anyone finished this yet? I finished it earlier and I can't see why everyone is raving over Bioshock Infinites story when there's this. By far one of the best games I've ever played. Gameplay, graphics and story are all vastly superior to any game that's out now. Even the additional horror elements were good.

I've been using my Sony Wireless headset while playing and I have a LOT of sound glitches too on my PS3, sometimes the audio even loops until I get out of the area

Anyway this game so far is good, I don't think I'm too far into it, also been doing a stealth run only without killing anyone and I think I messed up a while ago.

Im up to the last mission n this and overall the game has been a massive step up from 2033. I like how its spring and all of that grassy jazz.

is anyone else still playing this?

after finally getting through some games that have been on my list since like 2009, I got around to starting Metro Last Light this week.
and it's incredible.

not just the atmosphere and the pretty colors.
the physics and sound effects and weapon handling are extremely satisfying. I've only put in like 4 hours but this might be the best FPS I've played in years. I'm getting strong Half Life 2 vibes but with even better storytelling and scripted events that feel slightly more natural.

really enjoying Metro LL.
game of the year? anyone?
