I won't post the image here just the url as this guy gives me the creeps

But I'm sure atleast one of you had a deja vu when he saw this thing.
Is there a possible explanation for this?
Well, you know where I'm going with this... discuss.

I remember the last topic about this.

It's pretty weird, but I've never seen this guy, in real life, in a dream, even after seeing his picture a million times.

I never have seen this. Very interesting.

I want to say that it's just a generic face, but it really isn't.

Although I've never seen the face in any of my dreams, I'll have to agree with Olbricht. It more or less seems like a generic face that people associate with ones seen in their dreams. Considering it's probably hard to remember a certain face unless your dreams are extremely vivid, it kind of makes sense.

This man, ever since I first heard of "him", has been a topic of discussion that I find very fascinating and interesting - he has never appeared in my dreams or in any other form, but I've seen pictures of him thousands of times and heard numerous interesting theories about him - maybe that's he reason for the existence of the whole mindf*ck. The theories are very, very interesting indeed.

Especially the following, plausible ones:

QUOTE
DREAM IMITATION THEORY
This is a scientific psycho-sociological theory which claims that this phenomenon has arisen casually and has progressively developed by imitation. Basically when people are exposed to this phenomenon they become so deeply impressed that they start seeing this man in their dreams.

DAYTIME RECOGNITION THEORY
This theory states that the apparitions of this man are purely casual. Normally we do not remember precisely the faces we see in our dreams. The image of this man would thus be an instrument which, in the subject's waking life, facilitates recognition of an undefined oneirical image.

ARCHETYPE THEORY
According to Jung's psychoanalytic theory, this man is an archetypal image belonging to the collective unconscious that can surface in times of hardship (emotional development, dramatic changes in our lives, stressful circumstances etc.) in particularly sensitive subjects.

Marketing..? well it sure works as I've seen this face god knows where before I even knew this thing was on the internet.
But it didn't seem to sell anything to me yet.

I think the theory that fits this the most is willing the man to appear in your dreams. It may not have happened to any of us posting in this topic, but others may indeed look at this man and actually have him appear due to the fact it's stated here. It's an imprint, and more susceptible minds will then believe in it. It happens with me - something will happen during the day which I either love or dread and I'll often dream about some variation of it. The thing that adds to the lunacy of it all is how it started; a patient spotting a drawing of a man that somebody else has described and remarking that they've seen it too.
