I had to pick after 12. I was [pretty much] in my teens when video arcade games started moving into the pinball arcades. Fun times.

I don't quite remember, which makes me wonder if I'm getting old fast. My guess is at the age of 8. I remember playing games like Prince of Persia, Dangerous Dave and Hocus Pocus on MS-DOS. There was also a racing game where you could only see the steering wheel of the car you were driving; don't remember the name.

Original Test Drive maybe? I loved that game back during the early DOS days. All 4 color RGB and all. Without looking(on the internet) I want to guess that game came out around 1985/1986.

I've posted lots of things that aren't polls. Recently I have made a few polls, but it's not something I usually do.

Also it appears you did not answer the question tounge.gif

GTA was the game that brought me to the gaming world, GTA 3 that is, because of all the freedom and everything you could do which you couldn't in outside world(steal and drive any car, go anywhere, do this, do that, cause crashes, mow people with car, throw smoke bombs, etc etc). I as a kid(aged 10 and below before 2001) used to love those tiny car models and i used to have some tiny railroads and roads in my room where i used to play with the cars and toy soldiers, causing crashes, traffic jams. I think i got around 100+ of those cars, been quite a collector. So the freedom to do everything and control everything that i always wanted to do translated onto GTA and that was it then. Got a bit interested in gaming and used to play a lot of games between 2003-2008. After that gaming got a bit boring so i'm back to only playing a certain few things that i like.

So, tl:dr,
Oh the good times. inlove.gif

I'm pretty sure my first video game was Boot Hill, followed by Space Invaders when I was about 10 in an arcade. At about the same age I played my friend's Intellivision, and that Xmas I got an Atari 2600 - here's a pic of me unpacking it

I think I started playing video games when I was about 4. Had the original Nintendo. I used to play Jason in the basement and it would scare the sh*t out of me when he would show up randomly and all I had was rocks to throw at him. tounge.gif

The first ever console I played is one that I can't remember the name of, but was a keyboard, think it was blue in color, and the tape went in on the top right corner, or left... Having an older brother and sister meant I got into playing games at an early age.

The first ever console and game that I owned was:

Woah, it can't be that old! Or can it?

The only things I can remember are that it had only one map having continuous stretches of valleys on one side and mountains on the other and the steering wheel didn't actually move while making turns. It had a small white ball on the circumference of the steering wheel that moved from left to right while turning. Also, the turning was super-sensitive. Are we talking about the same game?

Also, Wolfenstein. f*ckin' awesome game. The first FPS game that I ever played. inlove.gif

3 or 4, on my cousins' old Atari and NES. SNES/Sega was priceless, but I'd say the Golden Age of my childhood gaming would be PS1/N64 era, peaking with the likes of MGS1 and Zelda OoT... the latter my single favorite game of all time inlove.gif

Apart from Oregon Trail and Age of Empires 2, I was exclusively a console gamer up until a few years ago, when I sold my 360 and switched to PC. It has really re-ignited my love of gaming, mainly since there's so many great titles I was totally oblivious to before and I've a long way to catch up happy.gif

Sounds about right. I was going to mention most of it was along mountain side roads. And the screens in between runs was your car at a gas station?

Does this look about right? Its from Test Drive 2 actually, but it was the best I could find.

@J0SePh X, It's great to see another older gamer 'round these parts. My Atari only came with Combat. I bought Video Olympics on my own and was sourly let down.

2-3... something like that, maybe 4.

Used to play on my Dad's NES and Atari. Too bad one if his "friends" "borrowed" it and never gave it f*cking back.
