HI...

It has been a while since I started "studying" the meanings of every single number on an Handling line in GTA SA. And I'm asking you, car modders, to ask me to make handling lines for your vehicles colgate.gif !!
(Specially those who publish cars without handling lines and wheel sizes... MAN That's annoying... No ofense confused.gif )

Yeah, it sounds a little ... weird ... but I really want to know how good I am at it...

Is that asking too much? blush.gif

EDIT:

HI again... Basically, face this topic has a "Handling Request Topic"

You want...

-> Realistic Handling: Real "0-60" timing, real top speed, real "0-Max Speed" timing, etc... Just need to go to wikipedia or something like that
-> Drift Handling: RWD or 4WD, quick turn drifting, long wide drifiting, etc...
-> Dragster Handling: I made one once, but I gotta say, these are the hardest (at least for me). Only made one until now :-S
-> Funny Handling: Reaching 300 km/h in something like 2 sec? Just use your imagination lol

Let me know... wink.gif

Regards,
Edward_FFS

Okay, let's test your skills. Make a good line for this mod- http://www.gta-world...&contentid=4131

Try to make it like a drag racer.

You, sir, got taste when it comes to cars...

You want a drag racer...

But a Funny drag racer, like 0-200 mph in 5 sec, or put the car making wheelies? Or you want it realistic ?

Say some features that you want in the car... biggrin.gif

Stiff steering, top speed 150 in a quarter-mile, maybe some wheel pop (wheelie), lower center of gravity, and enough traction loss for a good burnout.

What do you mean with "stiff steering"? (Y'know, my english's not perfect confused.gif )

And how many time do I have to make this ready?

@1. You should have to yank the wheel for it to turn. NVM if you can't do it.

@2. What?

1. It's not that I can't... I'm not understanding, sorry sad.gif .. . When you say "yank" you mean pushing the handbrake and turn the wheel to the opposite side ?

2. Do I have a deadline or something?

I believe he meant that it should have a wide steering radius. Real dragsters have lower steering ratio's so the front wheels are less responsive to adjustments of the steering wheel. In other words, don't make it turn as sharp as it normally would.

That's me again...

There's good news and bad news

Good news is: I was able to do almost everything you asked

Bad news is: I still didn't find a way to make a burnout and a wheelie at the same time... Is it possible? confused.gif

Yes it is. If I were you I would have started with a motorcycle handling line, and adjusted to work on a car. It always worked for me.

This "Dragster Line" thing is new for me... I already made plenty of lines, bot for other ends, like 4WD drifting and RWD drifting... confused.gif

But I'll take your advice colgate.gif

HI...

Here's the result, for now:
HANDLING.cfg:
CODE
1800.0  2700.0  0.9  0.0  -0.9  0.1  75  0.8  0.9  0.55  5  300.0  50.0  60.0  R  P  10.00  0.55  0  5.00  0.80  0.5  0.0  0.30  -0.25  0.25  0.00000000000005  0.3  0.44  100000  772000  140840F  1  1  0

VEHICLE.ide
CODE
null, richfamily, 1, 0, 0, -1, 0.72, 0.72,  0

It has almost realistic acceleration, 340 km/h top speed, makes a little wheelie (but the rear bumper can touch the ground if you take off with NOS colgate.gif ), and the steering angle is VERY low... The only bad thing, is that is gets a little hard to control when driving close to 300 km/h confused.gif

I also made the wheels wider and added Xenon lights, looks nicer, at least for me biggrin.gif

Try it out, and say what you think... As I said before, that's the first Dragster line I ever made...

Hey Edward can you make a handling line for this car,
Toyota Supra
I've been trying to make my own handling lines but i either get severe understeer or oversteer also no matter what on the cars brakes lock up for me when turning while braking.
I'd like it to have a 0-60 Mph time of 4.9 seconds like the real car, also when its turning corners id like it to have alittle understeer but not much,
and id like its back to slide out a tiny bit when exiting the turn, also i'd like it to take atleast 30 seconds to reach its top speed, and id like its top speed to be 155mph.
also id like to be able to turn while braking, right now the cars brakes lock up. and the car should take a little over 3 seconds to brake from 60 mph.
thanks biggrin.gif

Sorry took so long to get back. Sorry dude, I just remembered I don't have SA installed right now (had to make room for Mafia 2). Can somebody else check it out? blush.gif

Also, do you know how to make lines for GTA III?

Never tried... I played GTA III about, 3-4 times? That was it... But if it's similar to GTA SA, I can take a look wink.gif

HI... I'm glad the word is spreading biggrin.gif Keep it coming....

You were very specific there, makes the "job" a lot easier, believe me biggrin.gif (One Thing, 3 seconds to brake, all good, with ABS or without ABS ?)

Unfortunately, I'm going trough a rough time, lots of stuff to do, so it may take a while to make it ready, I hope you don't mind confused.gif

When I get free time, I'll do my "magic" colgate.gif the best way I can.

When I get it ready, how do I deliver it? Post it here, or you wanna leave an e-mail adress or something?

BTW: Somebody tested the dragster line? That's was the first I ever made confused.gif

Driftking120,
Post the exact handling line you have on the Supra, and I'll fix it for you when I get back.

i think this handling line i made turned out bad, ABS wont work, severe understeer followed by oversteer, and it feels a bit glued to the ground

That's me again...

So, as you requested, here it is:

CODE
1500.0  3000.0  1.56  0.0  0.0  -0.05  75  0.77  0.8  0.45  5  227.0  28.5  77.0  R  P  2.2  0.5  1  26.0  1.1  0.10  0.0  0.25  -0.05  0.5  0.3  1  0.70  40000  40000004  5400003  0  0  1

I got 30 minutes free time, and now that Supra's "features" are:

-0-100 km/h -> 4.925 sec
-0-250 km/h -> a little bit more than 30 sec ( I can make it more precise, but I'll need a map mod of a LOONG straight road confused.gif , and you said "at least 30" )
-With ABS, as you asked, it takes 3 seconds to stop the car from 100-0 km/h colgate.gif
-The car is now RWD, has Xenon Lights, and it "behaves" real good while turning smile.gif

This is according my stopwatch and speedometer, give it or take... Yes, believe it or not, i actually used a stopwatch while making this line biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Hope you like it... wink.gif If you don't, say what's wrong with it... Feel free to complain biggrin.gif

Thanks Edward,
It's pretty good although earlier today i desided to tinker with the handling line a bit, and i got something i like,
in the end at about 7 in the morning i got this handling line,
1550.0 3571.2 1.32 0.0 0.0 -0.093 82 0.544 0.49 0.461 5 250.0 17.2 83.5 R P 2.95 0.55 1 31.25 0.92 0.33 2.34 0.22 -0.09 0.5 0.0 1 0.60 40000 40000000 5000001 0 0 1
Your handling line was good though, though, mabye a bit to responsive to turns i dont think the real supra handles that well.
though your handling line would work great on something like a lotus elise or a bit less heavy car,
overall i liked you handling line while i used it, i'll probably ask you to do a handling line for the aston martin i have though, as,
it oversteers like crazy.
thanks for the handling line its quite a bit better then alot of handling mods i know biggrin.gif
