My GTA is Clean. No mod used.
I tried to add 4 object in GTA SA, a simple model with cols.
Tried it one by one. When adding the fourth one, GTA SA crash.
When I removed the the 4th cols file, Get it working again.

What is the problem?
Is there a limit on collision file?
I can only get it working just with 3 cols file!

I had the same problem. Standard GTA San Andreas contains 251 COL files in all of IMG files. GTA SA limit on number of COL files in IMGs is 254 max. Collisions used in DFF models are identified by their name. One .col file can consist of more than one collision. .col file is set of collision where each one is named differently. What it means? You don't need to add more than 3 .col files. Download Steve COL Editor beta (probably v0.4), drag and drop all col files you wanted to add onto window. Save one col file with many collision, add to gta3.img, let's say added.col You add one .col file with many collisions then.

Read documentation first

How can stream memory fix increase amount of COL files inside IMG files? Noob.
BTW, it increases amount of memory used for textures around camera. If you add too many high-res textures you need it, because default limit is small. Standard GTA SA textures are low quality.

WOW!!! Thank you Fastman! I have been working on this all day and you just solved my problem!!!!!! I can't thank you enough.

There is a colision file limit but if you add your colision files to an existing .col and then reimport it back into GTA SA, VIOLA, Extra .COL'S

YESSSSSSSSS

Actually, 69_black_69 and fastman, I would recommend that you download San Andreas Limit Adjuster(SALA). It would be much better, imho, than combining the new collisions with existing .colls every time you want to add something because it would allow you to add the custom .colls into the .img file without having to combine them with existing .colls and thus making it MUCH easier to keep track of the mod files and uninstall them if necessary.

EDIT: Agh crud I didn't see that the guy above me had bumped a 1.5 year old thread.... Sorry 'bout that folks.
