I am curious to see how many LGBT people there are in the GTA community. People think of GTA as being a 'straight' game, but I know at least 20 gay men who play it, and queue up when a new one is released.

Wow ^ Spam lol. If only everybody posted smileys every time they got a reaction to something.

And is this topic supposed to be a debate or something? I'm Straight although some of my classmates figure me belonging on the other team. It's alright though since I provoke them to think that lol (not excessively of course).

Are you sure you're not on 'our team'. I mean, leading them on, that's a bit odd. tounge.gif

I'm attracted to members of the opposite sex but I do certain things that would seem unusual as a male (won't describe in graphic detail). What would you call that? tounge.gif

I had no idea what you meant, for all I know you could have been experimenting with other men.

We have 2 transvestites on the forum. LOL. Well, I suppose that's better than experimenting with drugs though.

Actually if there are in fact two transvestites on GTAForums, you might want to rephrase that comment.

You know, just saying.

The T in LGBT stands for transgender, not transvestite sigh.gif
Regardless, I still voted transvestite in honour of Dr Frank N' Furter.

Me, personally I'm straight, attracted to the opposite gender, but I don't descriminate gay people, people can be so dicriminating and stereotypical sometimes.

Agree. With this topic going the way it is, I don't see this as turning out to be an honest poll.

Genders are interesting. There are the obvious 4, the intersex which we usually don't think about, as well as many socially recognized separate genders in India.

I'm straight, a bit introverted. At least I was. I'm very sick from Chronic Lyme Disease. My libido is practically dead from all the medication. I voted straight since there's no asexual.

I'm bisexual but more attracted to girls. Like, I'd probably be attracted to maybe 1 in 100 (at least) guys.

Hey, at least I admit it.

Which leads me onto the discussion;

Do you feel there is fear within the youth of today to hide from their sexuality and try and be something they're not?

I'm straight, but have no problems in what people's sexual orientation is, I know that it is not a choice. I actually know of people that don't want to be a particular sexual orientation.

But as long as they respect my sexuality, I do not have a problem. I'd hang out if someone were gay or anything, but if they try to pull a move on me, I'd act promptly and say no way.

This is interesting - I'd never encountered this before, but a friend was describing a friend of theirs today, who is a gay man who has often said he'd prefer to be straight if it were up to him. I'm not sure if that's because of the sexuality aspect, or the social stigma (he hasn't come out to his family yet), but I'd only ever heard of dysphoria in this context as it applied to gender, as opposed to sexuality.

I think it's the fear of not being able to settle down with a woman and to live a "normal" life as society decides for you now in a lot of situations. It's not normal if you're not straight as they say.

The thing with being gay as well is a lot of people say it defies nature, even years ago it was classified as a psychological disorder, and the fact that you cannot reproduce if you're gay; I mean you could through a surrogate child, but you can't with a partner of the same sex, that is what I have found.

I have also read that they want what they have seen in "films" (I think it was that), where they see a woman holding hands with a man and they are affectionate with each other. Gays/Lesbians don't have that.

You like who you like. I see it as limiting yourself by labeling yourself as "straight" or "gay" or whatever. Sure you can say you don't like cock or pussy, but if you still have feelings for the person, why deny them?

Just my opinion.
