I don't really care if you guys win now.

But I'd f*cking love it if you didn't.

For all I know, England have a good chance of upsetting Sri Lanka. Their bowling is not as good as Lanka's though, so batting first and raking up a good score should give a nice cushion for their bowlers. Lanka's batting is pretty good, too. Anything less than 250 would be a losing score.

We've set them 230 to win. I think we've got a good chance as it's more than they've really had to chase down in their other matches at Colombo. If we can take two or three wickets quite early on then I think they'll collapse, simply because I don't thik their middle order batting is very strong.

Also how about Murali going off with a hamstring injury? Anybody else think that he tried to play with a pre-existing injury and paid the price?

The match is looking awesome for Sri Lanka. I'm pretty sure we'll win this comfortably.

Edit: Yep, Sri Lanka has this.

Well, I said we had to take the wickets of the two openers to expose their soft underbelly early on in the chase and we haven't. They've battered us and fully deserve the win.

Wow, did not expect such a huge win for SL at all. Considering the slow nature of the pitch, England could have made a match out of this but their bowling failed on all levels.

I predict a India vs Sri Lanka final at Wankhede.

Final = Pakistan VS Newzealand

BTW We beated Sri Lanka in Group Stage and we can beat them Again. We Got an Awesome Bowling Attack and we can destroy any batting line. So This Year Pakistan Will be Winner.

Lol I'm feeling sad coz after Pakistan's Win In Final "Ball Thakre(Leader Shiv-Sena) Will may die with an Heart Attack. xD).

Shoaib Akhter is Coming back in Squad.. World's Fastest Bowler (I61.3 kph) So Be careful India.

It's Bal Thackeray wink.gif .

Shoaib Akthar is not the fastest bowler in the world. Brett Lee has bowled up to 161.8 KPH.

Oh and if you think speed is all that matters in getting wickets, I strongly suggest you watch some more matches.

My predictions for the finals are same as Girish's, Bharat vs Sri Lanka. Gonna be an epic match biggrin.gif .

Precisely.

You don't need to look far either. A very good example of disciplined bowling as compared to speed is Zaheer Khan versus Australia. That guy alone was more effective than Lee, Tait and Johnson combined and he doesn't even bowl over 140 kph.

Pace bowling is all about accurate line & length. Best example is glenn mcgrath. He wasn't too fast. But he is one of the most economical and wicket taking bowlers of all time.

well If We Won Semi Final Then Sri Lanka Is no problem for us at all. We know They can't compete with us. We beaten them IN T20 Final. And we beaten them in Group Stages and we'll Beat them again. Feeling Sad For Indian Because they gonna eliminate xDDD. Whatever!! i Don't want to debate on Fastest bowler xD. BTW We've Got Afridi Who can Bowled every batsman. Umer Gul (Yorker man xD), And Shoaib Akhter (Ask Sachin Tedulker he'll tell you that Shoaib akhter is the bowler whom i'm afraid).

@Warlord: Thx For My Correction about Bal Thackeray. BTW Good Luck For Your Team In Semi Final against New Zealand

True, Brett Lee is a good example of actually being more dangerous after dropping his pace and focusing on line and length. I'm not sure just how famous it was, but his demolition job of NZ in Adelaide a few summers ago was an awesome display of outfoxing the (albeit sh*tty) batsmen.

But Glenn McGrath totally wiping Pakistan away at the WACA was textbook for slight variations. I remember the one replay to dismiss Inzy(?) where you saw him move his finger off the seam in the middle of his delivery stride, completely changing the swing of the ball.

Might be in this video, I'm watching it now

I, too, can post an array of videos showing Pakistani bowlers being hammered to all parts of the ground. That doesn't prove jacksh*t, though. I was pointing out your flawed assumption that Sachin Tendulkar (or any other batsman for that matter) is afraid of Akhtar. Tendulkar would be more afraid of the sight screen not being proper than a petty bowler whose achievements are nowhere near SRT's.

From this point on, I'm just going to ignore your posts because they are based on emotions rather than logic and facts.

Oh and that shot by Sachin is insane. Square cut (it is right?) for a six? I mean WOW.

Very well played by Bharat. They truly deserve the win.

It seemed to me like some of Bharat's tailenders didn't really care about playing well, tbh. This is pretty bad. Anyone else notice this?

Oh and it's Bharat vs Sri Lanka for the finals. INSANE inlove.gif .

India had to be there considering the amount of money being splashed around. tounge.gif

But seriously, our bowling just clicked today like never before. I would have never thought we would win this game with only 5 bowlers needing to bowl. It was a really great team effort. It's just something about playing against Pakistan that we seem to bring our A game, always.

Where's Kanja now? biggrin.gif
