Coming Storyline

Spoiler

Since, I didn't find any MP/SL completed I can play with. So i decided to work this.

This is a Storyline, not a mission-pack.

Good luck on this. From the first look it seems to be pretty ordinary, but who knows. Maybe Johnny will come up with a great concept, which is expectable.

@GreenGoo

I honestly don't know, since it doesn't concern me, nor the DYOM community. Try doing some more research online to find out for yourself.

What a nice person.

It's easy to say that when you only spent your free time (which is the whole day for you guys) here, when you grow up you'll understand.

Does anyone know how to place a second cutscene in the exact same coordinates and facing direction as the first one? I have seen some missions that include this. Actors can be duplicated by Ctrl+P., so is there a shortcut for cutscenes too? Please share.

Does anyone think that its still worth putting effort in to make a full mission pack? Like, it will take a decent amount of time, so will the payoff be worth it, or is there not enough activity?

Only thing holding me back from investing time into a mission pack is the feedback I'll get. "Great MP Target!" and then hardly any real plays.

I can pay a lot of attention to details in the story but nobody will actually concentrate on those. At best, maybe three good designers will give me a good constructive review and the rest will be copy paste compliments.

I rather invest time and effort into something worth doing.

After a bit of testing I found out the cause of the Storyline bug where the next mission starts up almost immediately after the previous one.

Do not make the next mission trigger near the previous one. As long as the cone is not touching and is a few inches away from each other. The bug should not happen.

Also, would anyone want to try a storyline I made back in 2013 and see if it still holds up?

It's frustrating to see that all this ruckus was created just because of a single mentally challenged kid, that just came over to the forums. So next time if someone similar comes by, we will (again) backfire with a hundred replies stating him to calm down, that have close to none effect towards the guy or gal whatsoever?

This situation can be elementary compared to a snowball. The more you roll it, the bigger it gets. Thus, the more unnecessary attention you give, the more you receive and the more tension you build. By the way, I don't blame people like Yasa for being less intelligent and more attention-seeking than us. I blame every single of you that counter-attack them and MAKE them come back for more. This once-lovable community turned into a kindergarden sandbox, where children fight over a doll or a toy truck for no actual reason. YOU are able to put an end to this, while Yasa etc. isn't (yet). So what is the problem?

While putting an end to this, I would like to invite you all to get back on-topic, which is creating missions.

No, the back on-topic is discussing the missions.

You can see that some professional and senior designers (legends) aren't giving any attention to dyom. Then yes, we newbies (so called kids) have to run this forum.
Anything wrong in it?

Yeah, same here.

And it sucks cause I do enjoy designing - once you have a finished product you feel like you've accomplished something and you feel good about yourself, but then nobody is around to see it.

It's like making a three course gourmet dinner but you're the only one eating it and noone is there to enjoy it with you.

The rest of the modding community isn't very fond of DYOM.

We can "promote" the mod through a popular GTA Youtuber and invite them to the DYOM forums, if that can help.
