That is acutely a pretty good idea

Yep, I think so. You get to hear about all the stuff you did just after you did it.

How about the ability to stream internet radio. Like Pandora, or Last.fm since it's built into XBox. They could call it satellite radio in the game.

Or they could stream iheartradio, which has stations in every city, and would provide all the variety you need. That would be awesome. Would require an internet connection, so they would have to make an offline soundtrack as well.

In that case, a new station with dynamic updates. Not just news about the missions you did, I want LIVE news depicting the car chase you are on right now. With location updates, speeds, number of deaths, etc. That would be so cool.

mos def. and not only things you did, political discussions between michael graves and john hunter f.e., weather reports for the very day, traffic reports, etc.

music:
like in IV, a big mixture of everything, but next time, stations which only had about 10 songs should have many many more...

GTA is overdue for a classical station that's not opera. Another jazz station would be good too. The series could use a break from reggae. A parody of a Christian rock station would be a good new thing to try. A parody of a sports talk station could be funny.

Another latin station like Espantoso. That was my favorite in Vice City.

Let the rock station actually have good songs. The only good song on IV on Liberty Rock was Goodbye Horses. confused.gif If you're going to put in a Rock station, make it with well-known tracks to most people. VC's V-Rock was amazing...

Modern pop station would be fine. I wouldn't listen to it, but alright.

All news station also sounds good.

Only 1 purely rap station this time. Classics was pretty bad... Beat was also bad, but not as bad.

Same concept as IV with Jazz, House, Reggae and other types of music.

My personal want is for an early-2000s pop punk movement station... but that's what I used the user tracks station for in every GTA, so I can only wish lol. sarcasm.gif tounge2.gif

My biggest one is to see something like Vladivostok FM, put more Eastern European music in it though instead of mainly centering it around Russian music. Maybe some Edo Maajka or something lol. Another Latin music station sorta like a combination of San Juan Sounds and radio espantoso with both reggaeton and latin jazz. Another jazz station, JNR was amazing quite frankly.

Solid hip hop station, and a classic music station would be nice. It'd be awesome if the radio had 20-30 channels with each having around 35-40 songs.

Honestly, the talking segments are way better than the songs. I listened to Liberty Rock Radio in GTA IV, to Radio X or K-DST in GTA SA, and to V-Rock in GTA VC. However, both in SA and IV, I've also paid close attention to the spoken radio. I love "Just or Unjust" in GTA IV, and the "I Say/You Say" in GTA SA on WCTR. Just pure brilliance. Crazy sh*t. More spoken word, please.

And of course, we need Lazlow. Even though I'm kinda sick of the guy. He belongs tounge.gif

Pop music sounds nice. Also the ability for internet radio, or at least song updates from R* themselves. But the best feature would simply be enablng custom tracks on PS3!.

IMO, Radio Broker was the best radio station in Vanilla, man.

Basically all the stations from GTA IV, but just more songs on there, and a Country Music station like on GTA SA, but we need countryside for that to be cool.... biggrin.gif

I think a dedicated news station would be nice. Maybe have it update everytime something major happens, like if you're in a police chase (3-5 stars), it could come up on the radio as breaking news saying that there is a police chase going on in (Insert area) and to be cautious of the chase if you're near the area. I don't know, something like that would be cool. And maybe have fire trucks come to the scene of a blown up car on fire automatically without you having to call them, and redirect traffic around the scene while they do their job.

There are so many possibilities for the next GTA, it's insane. Like having actual construction crews repairing various damages you may have done around the city such as hitting and taking out signs, repairing the roads, renovating buildings, completing bridges..... So much potential. I have high expectations for the next GTA after hearing (forgot where) that there is an unannounced game with a HUGE budget for the XBOX 360 and PS3. It could be GTA 5, it could be anything else, but I have high thoughts that it's GTA 5, considering Max Payne 3, Agent, and LA Noire are announced, why would there be a HUGE unannounced game thats NOT GTA 5? My conclusion, expect an announcement for GTA 5 at E3 2011, and expect it to be a big game.

Sorry for getting so off-topic, just felt I should get all that off my chest in one go. tounge.gif

Euphoric Trance, Classical music, Country/southern rock, Classic rock 'ala K-DST, but with Pink Floyd on it, and another ambient/chill out station simillar to the journey on IV, because of how poor IV's radios were for me, I used to listen to the Journey all the time. Obviously, I want more Lazlow, and keep Vice City radio.

I have been hoping for an MP3 player since IV was announced, I still hope there will be one, and you can import a playlist to it, but I'm not holding my breath.

I would like it so throughout the game the talk shows changed a little, so they had a different talkshow every once in the while not the same ones on repeat.

Improve upon the stations that already exist, add less annoying songs, and please, another talk show! I love those things! And, an option to choose your default radio station. I don't want to get in a car and have my ears instantly explode from heavy metal with no warning. The thing is, I'd always keep listening to Vladivostok FM, because it's so damn catchy...

How about some real rap for a change. We saw this in SA, and maybe a tiny bit in IV, but overall, hip hop in GTA needs to be improved. I understand that the mainstream stuff has to stay to appeal to the average listener, but please. The "classics" station needs to be improved. And there's still some modern rappers out there that are decent.

Also, bring back whatever rock that was in VCS. I don't even like rock, but (strangely), I enjoyed listening to VCS's rock station.

I liked SA's selection of Radio Stations best, the only ones I didn't really listen to were SF-UR and Bounce FM, but I suppose it all depends of music taste, and therefore there should be something for everyone. This is what I think GTA V should include:

Talk Radio Stations
News Station (maybe weazel news or something)
Modern Rock
Classic Rock
Dance
R&B/Pop
Country and Western
Hip Hop
Gangster Rap
Classical
Easy Listening (Like Amy Winehouse)
Soul
Funk
Motown
Punk
Indie
Upcoming Artists
Jazz
Reggae
Metal
Garage
Dubstep/Drum'n'Bass

eeeeetc.

GTA SA rap stations, man i loved that channel, it was mostly classics that really fit in with the game, like 187, and children's story.

A song i would like to see, even though it is maintstream is jump around.
