pentaxian - Why don't you just switch to another weapon? It is not like you can use the bat whilst running

its difficult to quickly run up to peds and do a bash spree. its like slow jog, stop, swipe, hope it hits. the fact that its easier to stand in one place and bash whoever walks by is silly and didnt have to be so if you could sprint with the bat.

About GTA III I hate fact, that I know this game inside out. I would be verry happy if one day I could enjoy this game same as back to 2002. Don't get me wrong. GTA III IMO is still one of the best game ever made, but it will never surprise me again...
PS. This song perfectly decribe GTA III to me

1. The Triads, hate them. Anytime I see them, I kill as many as I can.

2. The fact that Police only come after you.

3. Rampages that involve rocket launchers or grenades. How can you concentrate with pedestrians attacking you?

4. When your vehicles disappear for no reason.

5. Killing Salvatore, loved working for the Mafia. My favorite part of the game.

Yes I hate it too and what makes it more annoying is that Rockstar don't remove this "feature" from future GTA Games

I'm hoping that this problem doesn't exist in GTA V. If it does, hopefully it's not as bad.

There's a lot of things I don't like in this game: not being able to bail out of cars, no bikes, no decent aircraft. But I really hate the Leones, blowing you up with their damn shotguns. icon13.gif

Well, at the time GTA III was made, half of that stuff had never appeared in GTA before dontgetit.gif

You are correct. For it's time, GTA III was, and still is, an amazing game, just the way it is.

I didn't like the targeting system. All other things like; not bailing out of cars, no motorcycles, not buying property, not enough weapons, and not having a speaking protagonist, these were all things that were addressed in later games, like Vice City. So I can forgive those, but the piss poor targeting system made gun battles a pain. You'd always lock on to the npc closest to you, instead of the enemy that's the main priority. I understand that this too was fixed in the later games, but if GTA III wasn't so groundbreaking to begin with, the targeting system alone would have made it not worth while. Anyhoo, just my 2 cents. Great game for the time, with a terrible targeting system for it's time

^I dont think that the targeting is that bad, I understand that it is not the best for its time but I wouldnt say it was terrible icon14.gif

At first, the mission may seem very tedious and challenging but if you keep practicing I find that this mission is nothing too bad, in fact, it's a very good mission in my opinion - very unique and is a complete bend in King Courtney's Mission Plots.

I hate that the game is so picky with cars and garages. Recently, I went for 100% on PS2, and when I was doing Marked Man, I thought it would be hilarious to use Salvatore's Comprehensive-Proof Jet Black Stretch to escort Ray to the airport. After I was done laughing my socks off and getting Ray to the airport, I wanted to park my lovely Stretch back into the Staunton garage so I could snag the Bulletproof Patriot and take it to Shoreside. When I had parked the Stretch back into the garage, and got my new BP Patriot, I drove back to Belleville Park to see if my Stretch was there. Lo and behold, IT WAS GONE. What the hell? What's even worse is that I saved over both files (I keep a 2nd file always while playing), so my beautiful Stretch was gone forever. Not even a BF injection can fill the empty space.

Other than a few missions, I really hate the fact that you cannot use money for anything except guns.

Garages don't really work during missions. Cars don't get repaired and I don't think you can store them either (until you complete the mission).

My least favorite thing about this game is the stunt jumps. It's very easy to die while trying to complete some of them if you don't have a lot of experience with the game.

Oh, if only I had known about that earlier. Now I might have to go through the whole game again to get my Stretch back.

I have to agree, they often end up with your car being on fire, or even worse, flipping so many times, that you can't get out, and you die. :(

Some of them can only be done with a car with superb acceleration, such as Banshee, like that over-the-water one in Atlantic Quays.

The one in Pike Creek (features in Bait), when you have to to to the LEFT on the ramp, is also frustrating, as who would have though about doing so?

The ones at the airport, also suck, as your car will flip over or catch fire, and you have to waste time searching another Banshee, or grabbing the Police Car behind a hangar.

Other dangerous one is near Asuka's condo, when you have a very little hole, and accelerating too much will end you up in water.

The pistol. It's just taking up space in my inventory now that I got the better weapons. Such a worthless gun.

The Dodo and the "cardboard" helicopters. Would've been awesome to fly in GTAIII.
