So, this is what the R* offices looked like 10-12 years ago... probably had a total revamp by now:

A good watch nonetheless, and they seem like good lads that love creating games. They were creating the puzzle game 'Lemmings 2' at the time the recording was made, so no... it was more than 10 years ago, 17! GTA1 was made 4 years later.

Not sure if any have seen it, thought it would be quite interesting nevertheless.

It's 1994. Someone posted it a few years back. In 1994 they were already doing early protoypes of GTA1. I have one somewhere, I hope I still have it.
But we don't see anything about GTA in the video sad.gif

Not on Windows 7 either. As far as I can remember, there is a small city, with a little car, you can move around, there is no traffic. I will try on a virtual machine.

So these are the creative boffins who started it all. Ace. I wonder if any of them are still with R*?

This little video is a slice of gaming history.

There are two prototypes: both show some blocks and you can rotate\move around. That's it.

I bet if you took a tour of their offices, you would come to find this is what powers GTA Online:

If only they knew then that Lemmings would be able to be played on a mobile phone :p Hell, even VC is playable on a phone now. And those computers they're using were GOOD :p

Actually, as you might be able to hear from their accents, these guys are part of the Scottish division of Rockstar North, the technical minds behind the best of R* games. Who knows...

EDIT: Hey, they're working on Lemmings 2, n all :) Good memories of that game (when I got past the first level).
