Holy sh*t! Those screens're not just awesome it's the coolest of the coolest especially the last screen. Terreur69 this's supa'. I'm waitin' all updates without patience!

Somehow it looks creepy to me and unrealistic. Maybe because there is no fog or something.. But anyway, good job, terreur69. wink.gif

- 70% of the map has Collsion
only 20% of the beats on a collision

Hey guys !

I'm looking after a little place to reinstall my computer right now ( because i'm always on my crappy laptop for the moment ) , and maybe, if the project is always going on, il will be back on work . I'm talking about city's building ect, maybe i will update my latest lot which wasn't that i was expected to it ...

Maybe i'll to talk again with Parox, or Tanjes, don't know who i've to contact =)

PS: Sorry for my english, long time i haven't practise ... xD

It would be cool if you didn't quote the pictures.
The project is still wip, it looks like they did not add smoothing groups yet. That's why it looks so flat.

Looks very good.

On the 4th screenshot, it looks like the buildings still have vertex color, correct me if i'm wrong.

so what can i say, amazing work fellow! It's perfect mod. BTW i've an a question, will u do expand the space of the island, i mean will u do more buildings, secret places, missions, scripts, new unique territories and other cool additions to the mod?

@Skyline uhm I dont think so Gostown6 was already made year before TDU2.. biggrin.gif
@zzcool it looks flat cuz the current WDR exporter f*cks up the smoothing groups on export.
@Blaster.. yup it looks like but this is G6 one of the best map mods for SA. so I bet that the vertex colors are beautifully made. correct me if Im wrong

The vertex colors is a way to add an information on the base mesh, on their vertex to be exact, that will be used to simulate a lighting, or to split the tiling of the texture assign on . The colors tha tyou assign will be add to the texture colors, here a pic :

Using this method, you can also add a lighting on the final scene more lighter and gain some engine performance . This was a good way on the SA engine, to give you a better view of Gostown, without burning your CPU xD !
If in addition of this, you use a LightMass to have a really good Lighting . But , be careful, using this method, your mesh will not be affected by the engine lighting ...

Hum, and for the TDU Mansion, if I remember , yes, this is one of the mansion used in TDU . I don't think it's convertion, i think Paroxum redone it from scracth using reference only, don't offence =)

That's not it, vertex color was used in GTA3 games for static lighting, rage has dynamic lighting. The static and dynamic lighting conflict with eachother resulting in very dark shadows, like the buildings on the 4th screenshot.

I gave terreur andreage toolbox, so he can remove it if he wishes.

Looking pretty good so far. I enjoyed gostown in GTA SA, but my problem was that I couldn't enjoy the car's phyiscs there, that's changed in IV, so I guess I'm looking into something awesome biggrin.gif Any estimated release date?

Beautiful atmosphere! And btw the last screen remind the same weather like in Just Cause 2. So i've an crazy idea but remember it's just idea and even it's not suggestion, at whole my idea consists of zombies on Gostown Island and suitable scenario (i took idea from "Zombie 3" or "Zombie Flesh Eaters 2" film). The game'd be starting from this: "There was military laboratory in 1985 year on the Gostown Paradise island. There had place different strange scientific investigations about such weird things as alive dead soldiers. There scientists had made virus "Death One" and this special virus had to be spent in America soon but some terrorists stole it. Some of those terrorists were killed by security but one ter. could escape with the case with virus. He had tail for him, i mean helicopter with security. Eventually one of securities scratched his hand holding the case by bullet and the last was infected of it. After terrorist found not big hotel and became a zombie in there and before he killed one woman in hotel when the last entered in his number in toilet. After it whole hotel was occupied by the special army.

Nice, but make sure that the map looks good WITHOUT enb as well, because a lot of mods just optimize the car/map to their own ENB settings and it'll only look good on that. Also I think the palm trees shouldn't bend over the road (irl that's dangerous, and people would never let something like that happen)

I don't think these two mods are good to compare. I can bet SA would look even better if it would have better models, but they only convert a map which is low quality, and this mod converts a map that is way higher quality.
That picture is bloody awesome indeed.

Cant wait this mod! BTW developers i had visited the page GTA Gostown Paradise 7 for GTA 4 MDB, so there's written 'bout missions in the mod and are u goin' to make a missions to Gostown?
