[WIP] Vice IV

I would like to help making spec and normal maps. Is one of the little things I can do in IV, but I'll save you alot of time biggrin.gif

The Trailer sucks. Again. Why? Because I've seen nothing new or atleast exiting enough to include in a trailer. It's all just Tommy running around, driving and shooting. It's getting too old, too fast.

Btw, is there something wrong with the lighting? Looks like they're coming from the bottom of the pole rather than the light itself. Same in IV SA.

Boy, its like GTA United all over agein. The map looks like GTA United, and two mods combined. A mod doing the GTA 3 map, and a mod doing the GTA VC map. BTW does this mean were still doing the VCS stuff?

BTW, are the mods going to have there own different versions, then a version with everything combined, or is it going to be like GTA United?

lol, wow, incredible. But how are you going to match them up? LC and VC have totally different atmospheres, vehicles, etc

Yea how will it be done on IV/EFLC? SA had the ability to have different atmosphere's, including proper city cars, and proper timecycle which is different in different parts of the map. May I recomend using eather GTA SA, or Red Dead Redemption's files as a reference, so each city can have their own timecycle. Or just make a realistic timecycle. Some files in IV are based after SA, and Red Dead uses Rage so it could be possable, but you would need an ISO for Red Dead.

IV/EFLC has the same map space usable as SA does, so think of it as somewhat a port of GTA United to GTA IV/EFLC.

Well, I guss you have it then. But I noticed some things when playing IV. When you fly low when the weather is sunny and its night, the ground looks darker than when your up high. Also I noticed the graphics kinda look a little different in Star Junction (Times Square) than normal. Could this possably be an example?

Also the people who are working on Project Back can open up the Red Dead Redemption files. I hope I can use this to port something from Red Dead to GTA IV/EFLC, on PC or Xbox 360. But anyway they may help out with that, but it may not be required, because like you said, GTARandom said he knows how.

Would you really want to wait another month for a trailer with Tommy running around and shooting at air with nothing new in it? Yeah... I thought so. I can say whatever I want, it's called "Freedom of speech". Other than that I can critisize anybody's work and let them know what I feel about it. Unless you've got anything better to come up with than the old "Don't talk sh*t if you can't do better" approach.
If you can't handle critisizm and negative response from different people, honestly, leave the Forums. Because you're not going to manage in life if you keep acting like a baby, thinking everybody has to be nice to the creators of the mod, just cause it looks good.

I can't say that this modification had become completely different. There is only an extra map near it. But it still has nothing new connected with Vice City. I'm not a fan of merging maps with different style and atmospheres but anyway good luck.
