Introduction:
Welcome to our post-apocalyptic playground.

First off, let me explain the events that unfolded and led us to this point here today. It started out with Fight Club. An exclusive underground club catering to pent-up white collar guys and girls just spoiling for a fight. Fight Club grew and moved out of the basement. Fight Club became Project Mayhem. Project Mayhem fought against the rich, corporate fatcats that had every dirty little finger in every dirty little pie, that had our lives by the balls, that controlled every facet of our being like puppeteers plotting our every move, we freed the masses and eventually all order was lost. Our ideology spread worldwide, credit card companies were the first to be targetted, inevitibly, economic turmoil took a turn for the worst and the stock markets fell. Concurrently, third world countries rebelled and fascist leaders were overthrown. Governments crumbled, the Governments turned on their people, the people turned on their Governments, alliances were broken, crime syndicates imploded, people acquired power they couldn't understand let alone weild, worldwide chaos ensued, war broke out... all this ultimately leading to one thing. The demise of mankind. The apocalypse.

Now, we ARE the Government and Liberty City belongs to us. No sense of order, our only goal is survival. The year is 2014. Two years after civilzation crumbled and the Apocalyptic Era is well underway. No second coming, no divine intervention. Nobody was exempt. The world has become destitute. The entire Earth laced with a radioactive blanket of nuclear fallout. A haven rife for tribes and mobs for those unlucky enough to have survived the war. The human race has become desperate and panic stricken. Every day a desperate fight for survival, every day a constant struggle. The human race has resorted back to it's primal instincts and Earth is a dangerous planet to be on if your hearts still beating. The shepherds lost control of their flocks. The sheep grew teeth and became savage -- feral. It's survival of the fittest. Survival of the sickest. It's a dog-eat-dog world in the Liberty City wastelands. But we've got bigger teeth than they do.

Ultimately, mayhem was achieved, but the plan backfired bigtime. We were the cause of the downfall of civilization and mankind was not happy. The people decided we weren't necessary anymore. The naive sheep thought they could survive by themselves. The streets became dangerous for us and we were subsequently forced to flee. We took refuge on Happiness Island and we began surviving. Returning to the city once a week, cutting deals here and there with those that would still deal with us, forging alliances with every cut throat and villain left in Liberty City. Eventually, we began running small operations out of Happiness Island and seized control of the subways to distribute our merchandise safely. We quickly became known as the "go to" place for your everyday needs. Competition became thick and our tenuous alliances became shrouded in treachery and deceit. Eliminating our rivals we became kingpins in every facet of apocalyptic city life. Water, food, fuel... sex, guns, drugs, rock and roll. Meanwhile, back in the city, provisions began depleting and the sheep quickly came running back grovelling. Only, this time the rules had changed. We owe the citizens nothing.

Junkies need junk, alcoholics need alcohol, asthmatics need their inhalers, rain, sleet or shine. Everybody has their drug of choice and we cater to everybodies needs... but of course, indulgences of such stature come at a price. Such are the heady joys of consumer capitalism in the aftershock of the apocalypse. Tough times call for tough measures. You'd think people would forgot their past problems? But no, when they turned their backs on us their problems intensified tenfold. We're rebuilding the world one day at a time - our way. Ultimately, you're fighting for a lost cause from the day you're born until the day you die. You can't fight fate, you can't fight mother nature, you sure as hell can't fight Project Mayhem. Inevitibly, we all succum to the allure of power. It's just up to you how you weild it. Do you use it for good? Do you use it for bad? Or do you simply use it to survive at any cost? These are perilous times and somebody had to harness this sucky situation and take charge. Sure, we'd prefer to have world peace, but that's nothing but a delusional fantasy constructed in the hearts and souls of the weak-minded that's never going to happen. Humankind is naturally savage and it's a basic human instinct programmed deep into our psyche to want to survive at any cost so we adapt to the modern world that we live in, instill fear into the city, and kill all those who oppose our ideals and kill all those who refuse to conform to them. We are the conductors, Liberty City is our stage and the future is our concerto.

NEW RECRUITS: After applying, you will go through a "3 day training regime." New recruits will use these 3 days to truly prove that they're the right person for this gang. If recruits pass, they'll be officially inducted into Project Mayhem and join the Resistance in the fight for survival and supremacy. Be prepared and good luck!

SCOUTING: If we want you, we'll come find you. You won't know we're coming, but you'll know once we've arrived. That's all I'll say. Be prepared!

RANKING SYSTEM: New applicants will start out as Junkies. During this period is the "3 day training regime", if applicants pass the rigorous training program and are successful they'll be inducted into Project Mayhem and will be promoted to the rank of Vandal. During which time, through commitment, loyalty and dedication Vandals will be promoted to Raiders. Penultimately, once a Raider has truly proven themself to be a solid team-player and invaluable member of Project Mayhem, they'll be promoted to the rank of Anarchist, truly cementing their place on the roster. Lieutenant ranks will be awarded to the two most deserving members. The Duke & The General ranks are for the top dogs. It's their job to maintain and run the gang, amend any updates and ensure the wellbeing of Project Mayhem.

GANG COUNCIL: The Gang Council will comprise of the two Lieutenants, the General and the Duke who'll hold veto over every decision. The Council will "meet", either in-game or will discuss pressing issues via PM. The Lieutenants and General will be asked for their input in situations. The Duke & General will then meet and discuss the matter further, with the Duke, ultimately having the last say. The Gang Council exists to try and promote fairness and promote healthy discussion.

Project Mayhem: Code of Conduct

Rule #1: Secrecy
Project Mayhem operations shall not be disclosed out of the Project Mayhem thread. Secret projects will be kept strictly to
PM's. Anybody caught discussing private matters in other threads will be met with disciplinary action. Discussion on Project Mayhem operations will be kept vague.

Rule #2: Mutual Respect
All Project Mayhem members will respect one another. Any infighting will be dealt with disciplinary action. This applies to all members. No exceptions.

Rule #3: Commitment
Be commited. Dedicate time to/for the gang. Don't be afraid to contribute to discussion. Show your commitment by adding Project Mayhem sigs (coming soon) and avatars.

Rule #4: Have Fun
Take a load off and take it easy.

*Operations:

*Anti-Turbo Tactics 101:
As a cohesive unit, we make haste to the battlefield and face those treacherous turbo dogs head on. Showing no fear, no mercy! We study their tactics, and learn to use them to our advantage. The main cause of this game is to desensitise ourselves to facing (and losing to) these cheating scallywags, figuring out how to defeat them without resorting to equally underhanded tactics, and most importantly how to distinguish a turbo and an honest player.

*Fight Club:
Firstly, some background info on The New Liberty Order (NLO). They're an anti-Project Mayhem group attempting to form a second government "for the people" and enforcing law & order to combat our activities. They're a constant hazard to be aware of during Fight Club. They've recently outlawed Fight Club and will arrest, and if necessary, kill any participants on site. But we refuse to forget our roots. It's a constant struggle arranging fights without detection, but they forget who runs Liberty City. They have the suits, but we have the power, and we've got eyes and ears on every corner. Fight Club is no longer confined to the basement, and we have no intention of crawling back.


Rules - Fight Club will begin at Fight Club Headquarters (The 6). Once all players have assembled and are in their allocated groups, all fighters will leave The 6 and convoy to the first arena. Once the first round is over, fighters will brush themselves off and head to the second arena, and acting accordingly after the second round. Finals will be held at The 6. All participants will be categorised into groups. Group A & Group B. A groups participants will fight amongst their allocated group alternating between opponents giving them a guarenteed 3 fights a piece, 1 per round. Fighters will advance to the finals on a best 2 out of 3 system basis. Fighters with 2 or 3 victories under their belt will qualify for the finals at headquarters with the fighters advancing to the final fight on a knockout system basis. There will be 8 fighters per tournament, three qualifying rounds, semi-finals and the final fight, three fights a piece (four for semi-finalists, five for finalists), each round will last until one fighter knocks their opponent out. In the eventuality of a rare draw, fighters will regain their composure, jump back into the arena and fight again. Two men go in, one man leaves. That's the rule. And did I mention... the final round will have an apocalyptic twist?

For optimum success, this will remain an organized event. The typical tomfoolery will be allowed and encouraged, but blatant disruption of the game will not be tolerated and such actions will be dealt with with a strike against the culprits name no matter their rank.

*Fugitive:
"Wrongly imprisoned" Project Mayhem operatives have been busted out from a high security NLO correctional facility with the aid of a specially trained Project Mayhem militia. The NLO have dispatched a highly skilled, highly dangerous team of bounty hunters trained for one thing; retrieve or terminate. Project Mayhem's crimes are irrelevant, the militia have been tasked to ensure the safety and survival of the escapees, at the cost of their own lifes if necessary, and to ask no questions along the way.


Rules - Two teams. Point A to point B. Alderney State Correctional Facility to The Platypus. Team one: The escapees and the militia. Team two: The NLO Bounty Hunters.

Escapees are back out on the streets with two tasks; surviving and making it to the Platypus for Government protection. All escapees have only one life a piece, so use them wisely. Escapees are limited to pistols only. Once all escapees are on deck, the game is won. The militia are tasked with protecting the escapees and ensuring their safe journey to the Platypus. Militia are permitted to use any weapon they find (bar the rocket launcher). The militia have unlimited lifes and all of the running team will remain on foot for the entire duration of the game.

The Bounty Hunters have been dispatched with the task of preventing the escapees and the militia from making it to the Platypus alive. Bounty Hunters also have unlimited lifes and are allowed to use vehicles to traverse the map (however, no choppers). And again, no rocket launchers. Bounty Hunters will wait in the prison and allow the escapees a 2 minute head start. Once the two minutes are up, it's go time. If all escapees are tracked down and killed, the game is won.

If the odds are stacked against an escapee, they have the option to "give up." They will shout "I give up" and stay where they are and then be escorted back to prison (unless the opportunity to escape presents itself along the way.) However, Bounty Hunters also reserve the right to take down a dangerous criminal they may deem "hostile."


Settings - No blips to encourage team work, and really convey the emphasis of survival. If you stray from the pack, you really are on your own. Voice chat to proximity. 30 minute time limit. Weapons set to standard.

Disclaimer - Inspired by Prison Break. Some of the rules may seem odd (e.g. no blips), but I'm trying to replicate Prison Break (well, perfectly execute my "on the run" idea) as closely as I can. The no blips rule really encourages team work and forces Escapees & Bounty Hunter's alike to use some initiative to make it to the checkpoint without detection/prevent runners from making it to the checkpoint.. If you stray from the pack during a chase, it really does leave you all by yourself forcing you to fend for yourself. It's all about survival.

To be added: Eye witnesses & reverse Fugitive (Militia after witnesses)


*Organized Chaos:
We're not "organizing" chaos, per se. The laws of chaos theory clearly state that chaos cannot be orchestrated. It can't be manipulated. Chaos is a spontaneous act. It's not bound by any form of structure. However... we can instigate chaos. We get the ball rolling and watch order slowly descend into anarchy.

*Two Tribes/Subway Warfare:
During these perilous times alliances hang by a thread. And the two tribes of Hobotown have culminated some irreparable differences. Differences over turf, differences over provisions, differences over anything they can find to squabble over. Hobotown has become a rich, bustling & vibrant underground estate, acting as a checkpoint for all underground traffic in the city, with casual passer-by's paying a toll and those with less "legal" business in the underground kicking up a piece of their action to both tribes, and with crime being the biggest statistical earner in the city, crime is really beginning to pay, and with provisions continuously depleting neither power-hungry tribe has the intention of co-existing amicably any longer. In the beginning the two tribes were one battling a common enemy in Project Mayhem intercepting 3 out of 5 Government transits. Somewhere along the way, there was a power struggle between the tribe leader and his second-in-command. The dispute quickly snowballed out of control resulting in a divide in the tribe and ultimately causing the two men to part ways, taking those that are loyal to them and inhabiting either side of Hobotown. The two men are petty and neither tribe leader will back down from this dispute, tensions have risen to boiling point, ultimately culminating in subway warfare. The point of no return. Only one tribe will win and gain control of Hobotown.

Attackers and defenders. Teams have to secure an item from the other teams side and transport it back to their side. More details to come soon. Subject to change.

Project Mayhem: revised & redefined! There's still A LOT of work to do. I'm not entirely satisfied with the introduction yet and the page does look a bit bare, but all in due time.

Remember guys, this time we're on our best behaviour. No mistakes. This time we do things right. We've let alot of folk down recently so this is our chance for a clean slate. From here on out, no petty squabbling, no bullsh*t whatsoever. We remain solely focused on building this gang up, honing our skills online so there will be no more crybaby whinging from any of us and regaining the respect we once had around here. If nothing else, we owe this to ourselves.

And yeah, that's right. We caused the Apocalypse! Got a problem?! devil.gif

THIS is what I originally invisioned for Project Mayhem. A proper apocalyptic, "all hope is lost" kinda feel. This time I'm not constrained by the Fight Club story. This time, Project Mayhem is whatever I want it to be so I'll be more inclined to work on it naough. Here's to round two, gents! icon14.gif

i wasnt a fan of the other one, it was funny with the "f*ck martha stuart" thing but your background story aint supposed to be humorous, its supposed to be EPIC, and make u wanna punch a baby!, but there are no babies around so u go out in the street and curb stomp a homeless person tounge.gif ......... well thats just me, i dont know about you tounge2.gif

Oh, and this goes for everybody. Myself included, but ESPECIALLY LeRay0409. I'm enforcing a NO SPAM rule, at least for the time being. All posts must pertain to the gang and at least contribute something worthwhile. Be that a suggestion to a simple opinion regarding gang matters. Spam does nothing but clutter the place up and derail the thread. Make your posts contsructive, none of this "lol 3 word postz" bollocks. or LeeLee WILL get angry. Damn you quickly changed the table so I couldn't say coding fail, but we'll try and get some people for the match but no promises since everyone's on there new games i.e The Black Ops fever has hit and some other senior members are playing New Vegas
