I'm having problems with the mouse sensitivity in GTA: Vice City. As default it's very sensitive, and when I lower the sensitivity, only the x-axis is changed - the y-axis is still as fast. This makes aiming completely impossible.

Bought the game from Steam yesterday.
Running Windows 7, AMD Phenom II 955, 4GB DDR3, HD Radeon 4850, Logitech G500 mouse.

Try turning VSYNC on, that helped me. I had this problem with the retail version, not steam, but that is exactly the problem I had.

On second thought, it may have been the frame limiter that I turned on. So if the first doesn't work, try that.

If you have an Nvidia video card, try going into the Nvidia control panel and for Vice City, change the VSYNC to "force on." Maybe that will help.

This is so weird because I had the EXACT same problem, and turning on the frame limiter solved it.

I'll try it anyway with CCC.

This works on VC? I'm assuming since the fix has VC in the file... can you confirm?

Also-- knowing almost nothing about modding-- will the above booger anything up with saves or whatnot?

You asked this question already and I told you it does.. and no it doesn't mess with the saves.
