Having Definition off is basically the equivalent of having trails on in GTA III.

Pros of having Definition on:
  • Clear Graphics
  • Easier to see when drunk
Pros of having Definition off:
  • Motion Blur
  • Better performance

I myself played with Definition off before, but I might be leaving it on now for the motion blur and the performance boost.

I hate definition off, it's horrible, my sons prefer to play with definition off, they're crazy! But in GTA III I like the trails.

I actually am the opposite right now, I think.
I didn't really like trails in GTA III, but GTA IV's definition off (motion blur) is pretty nice.

I prefer clear graphics myself and I get dizzy enough when in drunk mode.
