Does anyone know what the rating will be? With the whole urinal thing, I can't see Wal-Mart carrying it. I'll have to make peace with my local game store.

Balls of Steel, very fitting! Love the what I assume is a Certificate of Existence there, the whole thing just seems to be making fun of the whole 12 year long saga which is the way to go.

It's the collectors Certificate of Authenticity. From what I understand they were only going to produce 2000 of the CEs. As of the other day I read that they are going to produce more than 2000 CEs now. I'm not a big game CE person, but since DukeNukem kind of helped me in my professional career, I just might have to. Yup - back in the day I made some popular maps for duke, and had a pretty bitch ass popular web site supporting duke maps and whatnot. If any of you old school Duke players remember the map 'Below Hell' - that was mine biggrin.gif .

A few bits n bobs of news has come out today with regards to DNF. Firstly for PC gamers it has been confirmed that DNF will be a steamworks title :-

QUOTE
2K Games and Gearbox Software today officially announced that the PC release of Duke Nukem Forever will incorporate Steamworks.

What does this mean for you?

It means that regardless of where or how you buy Duke Nukem Forever on PC, your purchase will be tied to your Steam account, ensuring that you'll always be able to install a copy of the game even if you lose your disc.

http://gbxforums.gea...ad.php?t=117553

I imagine most PC gamers will welcome this, it has certainly perked up my interest in the game.

Secondly pre-order bonuses have been revealed, if you buy the game from Walmart then you get a erm Duke Nukem Truckers hat .......... this is an actual physical baseball cap and not an in game item. If you buy it from gamestop you get "Duke's Big Package" which consists of "in game ego boost mode", T-shirt pack and Big head mode.

If you pre-order the game outside the US you are pretty much f*cked so far it seems tounge.gif

I have a pretty pricey cigar that I've been holding onto for awhile now. I think I am going to lite it and smoke it the second the intro scene starts biggrin.gif .

A lot of years have passed since the release of DukeNukem3D, and we all know how long DNF has been sitting in the corner. Naturally, fans of the original DN3D will be happy to buy and play for nostalgic reasons, but the gap in time between DN games is so vast that there is now a whole new generation of gamers and is this game going to be able to grab them enough to make it a successful release?

Is the current generation of up and coming gamers going to be happy with a revisit to the old fashioned FPS style that this game is bringing?

Please forgive me, but in my opinion. Today's generation of FPS' are sh*t, there is few that I like: BioShock, HL2, CoD (not MW2 or Black Ops), I consider those as masterpieces. (in my opinion).

Half-Life, Duke Nukem, Wolfenstein, Doom. Are all better than today's FPSers. I don't think any game has even overcome these, it's pure imagination and story. That's what I want, and Duke Nukem Forever will give me this.

Yes, because games like MW2 are the peak of the solo FPS genre at this time.

If Call of Duty could stop, the video game industry would be better.

I don't get how you come to that conclusion. bored.gif

There's multiple games in every genre, so if you don't like one, don't play it, simple as.

Funny you mention that. I'm buying a new gaming rig with some tax money tounge.gif just for this game. sh*t, I didn't even do that for the release of IV even though it would have helped that resource hog of a port.

People here don't know me as a modder, but I've been modding since DukeNukem3D...I just never got into modding GTA games for some reason. I plan on being a ground floor modder for this game. cool.gif .

I was fooled by the TV ad for Bulletstorm the other day. I thought it might have been a new DNF ad. Bulletstorm is looking good too, I must say. I hope this revisit to old school FPS turns out to be a win for the genera.

Edit:
Like I said...
I just purchased this
