I'm not with the team but I think it would make a good unoficial add-on if it's well done (like a separate download not included in the mod). But first you've gotta see if Bammargera adds his upstate map (that is if you are gonna add yours to Shoreside Vale).

Yes, as soon as we have everything we need in the game and Beta 7 is released I will be adding to the OP all second party addons people might like to play around with.

I fixed up the "I <3 SA:LC" and "SA:LC" banners a tad. Better AA and some shadow to them.

1. Beta 7 hasn't a set date yet.
2. There are no big updates until I finish bug fixing.
3. That first picture is a picture of SA:LC I took and edited 2 years ago.

Just a heads up. Tomorrow morning I will be headed off for a five day trip up the coast, so I will be inactive in that time. I will however still be keeping track of the mod if I have access to Wi-Fi (Which I'm almost certain I'll have). Untill then.. laters tounge.gif

Figured I'll keep the topic alive whilst dingleman is off fishing tounge.gif .

So here's my concept for Upstate Liberty, I am starting blocking it all out straight after posting this, and if anyone's interested I'll post progress as I go along.

As I hope you will see there is a large Bone County type countryside between LC and ULC, which firstly allows the countryside vehicles from SA to have a place, and fits in with the sort of countryside look of the north edge of Shoreside. There will be small hillbilly towns as well as the city at the very north of the map. This is the same city I have shown screens off before.

I think it would be the best that this area would be unlocked after passing 100%. Like GTA: Liberty City has with Vice City features.

Well maybe, I saw it more as an addon map pack, plus missions aren't even finished yet, plus this addon pack may even have it's own missions, for now getting the map done is the most important thing! hmnnn a lot to think about. For now here's some update screens as requested.

Most of the roads are done, there's quite a lot of undulation creating some hilly areas, and as little road banking as possible, still got one of the small towns to get the roads done for, then time to start on the freeway!

I don't agree, it should be opened from the start. Missions aren't that important, IMO (I mean right now, later they will be awesome).
Remember that you can edit the Map.zon file to have different police cars in this area (like special highway cop cars).
Here's an example that I made for the other beta, that puts sfpd cars in Portland, lvpd cars in Staunton, lapd cars in the Airport area, and rural Rangers in Shoreside Vale:

i think its better not to have a road connection in Portland to upstate bam, just keep it in shore side vale *just my suggestions* wink.gif

Keep in mind that the green area/s may look bare now, but they will be populated with tree's, rocks, ponds, hut's etc when in-game wink.gif

Not sure, haven't got dingleman to consult with, I would be on the III style hillbillies, but we'll decide that when he's back wink.gif .

bammargera that your news are the best because i always dreamed to see those small towns which there in Upstate. I would like you to create whole Ghost Town(big city) like separate part of the city behind the rocks. The industrial area with the factories and houses is looked be very cool. Please else maybe you'll add the empty airport near Ghost Town.

Well first off the city at the uppermost northern point will contain Liberty Bank and the surrounding buildings from ghost town. Also started adding buildings to the first of the two hillbilly towns.

I'm also considering making these hills a little taller to make the area seem less flat, thoughts?
