Inspired by the world cup thread, GTAF'ers the world over are now going to, hopefully, predict the Prem scores for this coming year. Good luck everybody!
Rules and Scoring:
-You must predict the score of the match before it starts, on pain of a 10pt deduction when found out, and possible banishment from the tournament.
-You can post all results at once or do the sensible thing and post them one set at a time. It is probably a good idea to wait until the day before so that you have a rough idea of the starting XI's for both sides.
-Predictions must contain the score of the predicted match.
-If you predict the correct result, you will be awarded 3pts. So if Liverpool beat Arsenal 2-1 and that was your prediction you get 3pts.
-A single point for the correct result, so if Liverpool only win 1-0, you will get a point.
-If your score is correct but the winner is wrong, you pick up no points. So if Arsenal win 2-1 because you picked Liverpool to win, you will receive nothing.
-All of the above scoring methods apply to drawn games as well.
-In the event of the tie at the end of the tournament, the winner will be the member who has predicted the most amount of correct scores (i.e. 1 - 0, 2 - 0, etc).
-If two members have the same score and the exact same amount of predicted correct scores at the end of the tournament, they will both be declared joint Prediction League Winners.
Lets try something new
-To spice things up at the start of the competition everyone must pick their top 4. In order.
-You will receive 5pts for each of those teams that finishes in the top 4, and another 5pts on top of that if you accurately predicted their position as well.
-Then, you must pick one of the three promoted sides.
-If that side comes higher than all of the other teams that came up, you will get 2pts, if one of the other side that came up finishes above them you will receive 1pt, and if both of the other promoted sides finish higher than them, you will get no points.
-Finally you will predict the bottom three. Again in order.
-You will receive 5pts for a finishing in the bottom three, plus another 5pts if you guessed their position correctly too.
-All of these predictions must be made before the first round of matches. If not you will lose out on that opportunity to gain points.
