Not instead, but I think it would do well on the Wii. Because there is a lot more on Wii then on NDS. The only thing is: I wouldn't buy it, because I don't have a Wii biggrin.gif

If GTA was on the Wii, couldn't it have at least Vice City quality?

It could have at least Bully quality which in itself is improved on San Andreas quality. Remember, the Wii is more powerful than the original Xbox.

Well, if a GTA will be released for Wii, a new GTA must be developing. I wouldn't like to see older GTA serie as Wii's 1st GTA game.

No, I think it would look strange too play Chinatown Wars on a non-handheld video game system. You know, because of the isometric system and all.

CW is 100% portable game and it shouldn't be on big consoles.

R* Games wanted a Game that was exclusive to a Handheld and see how the game will develop.Personaly i think GTA CTW should remain a Nintendo ds/PSP game simply because the Touchscreena and PSP's graphics were simply Awsome, Wii has great capability no doubt but a GTA Game on wii just dosent feel right (not in terms of Canis canem edit or Bully)

I think it would work well with all the hand movements like stealing cars and what not and the Wii is more powerful than the first Xbox, so the graphics could be OK.

I'm going to say no because i hate that damn wii remote smile.gif . But seriously, i think the wii has potential for a GTA game, but Nintendo might be scared of getting the same controversy they did with CW on the d.s, where people said that the Nintendo systems should stay family friendly.

The only reason people say Nintendo should stay "family friendly" is because people say it should stay family friendly. Nintendo themselves welcomes mature games, but developers shy away because other developers say only family games go on Nintendo consoles. This is a left-over from the SNES days when Nintendo actually did censor the games more.

All you have to do is look at Manhunt 2 and Bully SE to see that R* likes the Wii.

Yeah i agree that the controversy is stupid, but the stereotype is stuck to Nintendo, and i assume less Mothers would be buying the Wii for their families if titles like madworld and Manhunt 2 were known by them, and to be fair the wii is aimed more at casual gamers.

This is another thing I don't understand people saying. Wii's controls are comparable to Keyboard and Mouse plus an analog stick. Again, just play Bully SE on the Wii to see that there is no problem there. And if not those controls, the Wii also supports the GameCube controller, and it has a "Classic Controller" which has the exact same control setup as the PS1/2/3.

That is just an excuse used by the developers that don't put the time into Wii games. The Wii was designed for "everyone" according to Nintendo, which means casual and core gamers. Nintendo has actually been actively speaking with 3rd parties lately about the fact that they aren't trying hard enough to make games people want, and that's why people don't buy them. They specifically talk about Just Dance and how it sells like a first party game. And yes, I realize that is a casual game, but the point is still valid. Developers aren't taking chances on the Wii because the developers that did put out shoddy games that didn't sell.

Agreed, the controls are kind of horrible for the wii.

I can see why you'd think that, but consider the shape of a mouse, how much more grip you have on a mouse, and that the wii remote is not on a flat surface which makes it a lot more shaky.

I find I actually have better aim with a pointing device than a mouse, its more like aiming a real gun, and thus more immersive to me. But I know that doesn't apply to everyone, hence the rest of my post.

The wii is an absulotely awful console in my opinion.

So I would basicly ignore Chinatown Wars on the Wii...In the same way I ignore COD4: "Reflex Edition"

I have more games for the Wii than PS3; the Wii costs less, has several great games, and has pretty suitable graphics for what it is.

Sounds as though you just have a closeminded bias against Nintendo.

So,has anyone played dead space extraction on Wii?
Its a great, very serious game that sold 1,200 copys in its first week.
It just shows that serious games dont work with Wii.

It's also on PS3. That issolated example does nothing for your case, because it didn't get great reviews - It got B average reviews.

I voted no because, most people who play the Wii are either under 18 or Japanese. This game is for 18 and over and Japanese people don't play GTA

So I guess its 17+, but still.

As for the Japanese thing it was a joke. I am part Japanese. Saying that a certain race doesn't play a game isn't being raciest. It's called stereotyping. Good try on the race card though. Now days people are so eager to call something raciest. confused.gif

Blumpkin: The Wii is ABSOLUTELY not only for people under 18 or Japanese. That is an ignorant rationalization for your dislike of a company. The fact is, there are plenty of games on the Wii that are rated M (or 18+ depending on your country), and Nintendo would love having more. If you were to open your eyes, you would see that even in 1st party Nintendo games, they are pushing a little more maturity into the games. Just look at Metroid Other M for example. That is most definitely not a kids game. The story alone would bore most children.

And yes, it may seem like I'm just a Nintendo fanboy, but I'm just stating the overlooked truth, same as I would do for the PS3 or 360 (or even the VirtualBoy).
