Grand Theft Auto: Bluerock City is a total conversion mod for GTA San Andreas. It replaces whole San Andreas with a new city and new places to discover. The mod is progressing good right now and most of the basic things have been done. For more information about the progress, scroll down.

Storyline
(Attention: Story may change!)

Bluerock City is a small mass of land located east of San Andreas. The city has to deal with many problems. The economy of the city is about to fall, mafia gangs are trying to take over the city and piece by piece the city falls into the underground. The city needs someone who will save it from the brink of destruction. The protagonist is CJ from San Andreas. 3 years after the events of GTA San Andreas, CJ leaves everything behind him and goes looking for his cousin. He lives in Bluerock City, when CJ arrives in Bluerock City, everything goes wrong. He lands in the middle of the underground of the city and starts his journey to find his cousin.

Setting and Map
Bluerock City is splitted up in 3 parts:
  • The old industrial island
  • A small island with office buildings
  • The main island with the city itself
The game begins at the old industrial island where a group of maffia members tries to blow up the bridge which connect the first and second island with eachother. (This is also the first mission) The industrial island contains a few buildings and a very small dock. The rest of the island is filled up with trees. This island was the fundament of the city.

The second island is larger than the first and has some office buildings. A part of the island contains alot of trees and some small buildings. It will be reachable after the second mission on the first island.

The third and main island is the largest island with the city itself onto it. I haven't started creating this island yet because it will be very big and I first want to finish the other 2 islands.

Progress

The progress is good, I'm working on the scripting part right now and want to extend the first 2 islands after that. Especially the second island needs many more content. The first mission is now finished and the save point is also near completed. I added some weapon pickups and a car generator at the first island and going to do this at the second island too when it's more developed.

Ofcourse, I can't complete this total conversion without help. So I ask anyone with modding experience (especially modelling and coding) to consider about helping. If you want you can send me a PM or post it in this topic. smile.gif

Is this all modelled from scratch, if so it looks like a bang up job too me, really nice SA style, looks forward to more updates smile.gif

When i saw the first mission screen i saw it! REVO DESIGN biggrin.gif

I liked your old mission with the exploding bridge.
But good luck with this mod! Looks good.

@bammargera: Yup, it's all modelled from scratch. The buildings at the second island are all made with SA textures and are based on San Andreas buildings. And thanks, I will change that. smile.gif

@Timske: Oh yeah, that mission from my tiberium mods. blush.gif Those mods were pathetic! tounge2.gif Bluerock City will be much and much better!

Yeah, but the font used by that text style doesn't support upper case letters.

You'll get more than 2 lil islands. wink.gif

I also want to say that scarface2k_gtasa is now part of the team. smile.gif He will model and texture buildings for the mod. This will go way faster than when I only mode. And probably the buildings will be of better quality thanks to him. colgate.gif

Yeah... That gun is just horrible, looks like u just pasted an image and then extruded the parts.

Secretagents: txdeditor right, get reference images side view, top view and stuff like that then and only then you will see its not so easy

vans13: looks outstanding but why do you waste that much of polys did you made UVW Maps? it still looks good though but you gotta lower the polys man

The mod looks good wink.gif are the missions made in DYOM?

Quechus: I always like your comments man but yeah i kinda do high poly weapons but is couse i like to do it with all kind
of details i dont like that i need to see the details just in the texture wey not making them full 3D tounge.gif

and yeah i made a weapon low poly my Scar-H is 7k poly tounge.gif

@Secretagents1: It looks indeed like a drawing. If you can get that in 3ds max with the textures you can join.

I'm also planning to remove the buildings from the second island and spare them for the city itself. The second island will be filled up with trees and houses where people live in. colgate.gif

We got some new building models and a new team member! Jorge F. He is working on new and more detailed islands. Here's a WIP screen:
