it's still funny, too.
it's a good joke and a good bit given the context of the fictional characters in the fictional events of the show.
I hate how you can't make a good rape or suicide or retard or gay joke anymore. at least lately.
people are willing to laugh at anything until it's something that personally affects them. suddenly it's not funny, tasteless, must be banned, and the performer must be made to apologize. too much political correctness is turning us into a world of man-children stepping around on egg shells, having to worry about every stupid thing we say being overheard by the wrong person with a political correctness hard-on.
there's no good comedy on basic cable/network TV anymore because they're PETRIFIED of taking any risks.
it's all the same sitcoms. all the same characters. feminists chicks. hipster guys. talking about their boring relationships or their boring jobs. all the same PC-safe and friendly jokes about men versus women or pop culture references followed by some insufferable laugh track. nobody dares anymore to take on any kind of remotely controversial (or even interesting) topics.
can you imagine if Sanford and Son or Archie Bunker were on TV today?
of course you can't. because we've all become a buncha f/cking pussies afraid of stupid words.
