I actually hadn't heard that this was going to be on AMC, I thought it'd be a miniseries on HBO or something. Well AMC just released some makeup test photos...and WOW. I'm really excited about this.

This is for you, Tet.

First production photo. I'm f*cking stoked. It's set for debut in October this year during AMC's Fearfest.

I was gonna totally use that pic as an eventual sig, but you just killed the mystery that would've surrounded it. Thanks Moon.

You forgot to mention that the show is being written and directed by Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, The Mist), and now The Walking Dead. It has The at the beginning of the title, its gotta be good. Oh wait...The Majestic... Ah well, this is sure to be at least decent fun.

That's me, the mystery killer. Yeah, I know the op was kind of half-assed, but I don't care.

If you guys are interested in this little Robert Kirkman interview with NY Magazine, check it here.

Fun fact, my gf has a Tony Moore sketch of her as a zombie.

Those makeup test photos look amazing. This looks very promising.

We are in need of some good Zombie tv.

f*ckING SICK, the title threw me off at first because it's a pretty obvious name when it comes to zombie-affiliated fare, but it IS actually based off the comic. The Walking Dead series is f*cking sublime and actually pretty scurry, i encourage you all to read it. This has gotten me stoked.

AMC's really coming into its own. I hope to see more truly original television series' like this in the future

QUOTE (Press Release)
AMC RELEASES THE FIRST PHOTO OF ANDREW LINCOLN AS RICK GRIMES
FROM THE SET OF "THE WALKING DEAD"

Robert Kirkman, creator/writer of the comic and executive producer on the series says:

"Writing this book for the past seven years I've gotten very close to the character of Rick. Andrew Lincoln embodies every aspect of the character that fans know and love. After seeing this photo I don't think that there will be a doubt in anyone's mind that he's perfect for the role."

From Comic-Con.

Oh, and Frank Darabont is only directing the first episode. All the rest are split between various TV directors, with experience from Breaking Bad, The Shield, etc.

Been reading through the first 2 hardcover volumes of the comic, and it's pretty amazing. Now watching that trailer makes my pants fit all funny.

Are they the "Mutated Sprinters" or the more traditional Zombies?

In October, only 3 months away.

@Futurama_Freak: Judging by the trailer it seems the Zombies are of the traditional variety.

It's times like these that i wish i lived on the other side of the earth, because there's no way i'm going to see any of this. GODDAMN. I feel like crying.

On a different note, i wonder what relation it will have to the comic book. Well apart from charactes and such.

From what I've read of The Walking Dead (first ten volumes) the trailer is very canny to the first issues of the book, matching scenes, and dialog.

This is very exciting.

This is going to be good. Some of it was actually filmed in the city I live in called Senoia, it is about 2 hours south of ATL in Coweta (cow-ee-ta)County. Zombieland was also filmed about 25 minutes down the road in the Newnan square. Where the idle tank is when they are talking about zombie killer of the week you can see a Bank of Coweta sign. Apparently mid GA is a hub for zombie movies. Which is good because I have my zombie Apocalypse plan ready.

Step 1: Get Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Step 2: Gather up my SKS, .22 rifle, .22 bolt action, shotgun, 357, knives, laptop, Xbox, all the games and big TV.
Step 3: Go to friend John's house and get his M-16,Tec-9,M4,AK-47,SKS,all 7 pistols, .22 rifle, and his ford bronco.
Step 4: Go to nearest gun store, or marine/army base get ammunition, gun cleaning kits, P90s, Barrett M107, 2 M2 .50 BMG "Ma Deuce" machine guns, mount on jeep and bronco.
Step 5: Go to Star island (off of Miami, only one way onto it) Gathering friends not yet infected, and their Xboxes and games, some chicks, C4, food, and supplies along the way.
Step 6: Set C4 on bridge after us.
Step 7: Take over one of the houses on star island.
Step 8: Snipe the zombies as they run across bridge.
Step 9: If overrun,or .50 BMG runs out, blow bridge and wait for rescue while playing Xbox.

(Yea my friends and I did think this out already)

The saddest part brother, would be that you actually thought about grabbing that massive amount of guns. It's impossible to get all of those firearms an' there respective munitions plus equipment, and carry that around with you.

Stick with two firearms, primary, and handgun secondary. Along with a 30 litre bag of survival gear, you should last about a week on your own.

This show is now my only hope for cable for the remaining quarter of 2010. The Walking Dead better deliver, or else I'm going f*cking kill someone.

A season 2 of this has already been greenlit. There was a sweepstakes, now closed, to win a walk-on role for the season 2 production. Proof.

So AMC is confident.
