I think I recall hearing this before, but could be wrong. Is the San Andreas fault line implemented in the game anywhere? Underwater?

The deepest place in the ocean (with solid floor) is between SF and the desert, it's just over 100m. deep at the deepest points.
It's pitch dark down there (and the NV goggles doesn't do any good), but the deepest part does form a line with steep sides.
Once CJ gets below -100m he will be warped back to dry land, - but there are spots which are a bit deeper.

I haven't looked at it myself, but this screenshot seems to show at least a small indication of the San Andreas Fault is in the game.

The Duff Man said in his guide that there's a crack at the bottom of ocean, said that if you go to USS Numnutz submarine and look at the water town, you'll see a crack that will let you fall into blue hell if you swim towards it. That's what I remember from his guide, since I wasn't reading it anymore.

Did a look-see. and found a grove in the sea bed runing east west almost perfectly on the 'B' of the map. I followed it from the Battery under the Gant Bridge to a pile of rocks short of the Terra Robada coast.

Yeah the fault is there, I thought it was a pretty well known fact after all these years.
