I'm not sure about a ENB version yet, this almost now looks like ENB of old, such as early 0.77 versions, only now without any performance hit from ENB.

Here it is in motion,

@DKT70
Wow, I tested your mod, and I can not find the words to say what I think.
you do a great job, 10/10, at a certain time of day, I have the feeling which I installed enbseries, so much the effects are impressive, especially the texture and colors of leaves.
I think a great MOD is born.

thank you and congratulations for this MOD.

I think the last patch of R* with your MOD, have very surprising result.
if these shaders had ENBSeries with your changes, we succeed to have a result very close to reality.
I want to clarify that I have not touched up screens.

ENB will work, but you will have to adjust the ENB ini to work with the brightness of RealityIV, although all my work on the skies will be lost because of the way ENB handles skies.

Anyway, some v2 pics, this mod will run alongside v1, as it may not be to everyone's tastes.

I tested the patch 1.7 with the latest ENBSeries, and my game crash.
some of your screenshots are really impressive.

biggrin.gif Great mod! Best environment mod I must say. Using the DX 10 shaders without DoF.

Ok, if anyone is interested, here is a first beta test of V2 of RealityIV.

Currently, does (may) not work properly with:

- Patches 6 & 7, causes too much 'Brightness' problems, and the occasional noise.

- TLAD, and EFLC, I do not own either of these (yet), so I cannot test them. If anyone could test them for me and report back if you had any success, I would be most grateful. Again, the static noise filter would have to be switched off.

- ENB, This isn't meant for ENB due to the lighting in this mod, this will conflict with stock ENB settings, so the ini would need some serious changes.

Bugs:

- None known, yet, in patch 1.2

Fixes for 1.2:

- Red Colours on cars and buildings had dark shadow problems, now fixed.
- Minor adjustments for patches 6-7, TLAD, EFLC, for ghosting problem, and lighter peds.

Some pics

user posted imageuser posted imageuser posted imageuser posted imageuser posted image

Note:
Does NOT work properly with patches 6 & 7, the brightness is way too bright, so some adjustment to the in-game "Display" menu for both Brightness and Contrast may be required for now. Other problems do exist, but until I can do some real-time editing, and not a bunch of guesses, this will have to do for now.

Feedback, welcome. smile.gif

well,I tested with Version 1.7, tymecyc is really impressive.
but there are still bugs with shadows that walk on the screen.
sunny windy = every hour.
Lightning = every hour.
Drizzle = 12h to 24h(noon12= ahead one hour)
extrasunny = 13h to 20h (noon12= ahead one hour)
sunny = 18 to 20h ( afternoon18= ahead one hour) and from 8am to 12pm(night05= ahead one hour) with noise and shadows too.

apart from that, is really well done.
extrasunny2 is really well done.
the color of the sky is truly remarkable.
I also like the way you did do rainning and froggy.
ditto for eflc

Ok, thanks for testing.
Fixing these problems, for 1.7, is going to be difficult for now. I need to be able to edit in real-time, while the game is running, with patch 1.6 and 1.7.
I can guess a few fixes, but that would take literally days to fix for all weathers and times.

I will try two fixes, one for Extra Sunny, 6pm, and one for Lightning 12pm noon, for you to test. If this works then all it will take for you to fix most of the problems yourself would be a notepad editor, like notepad++, and the fixed values. I will put up a test tomorrow, somewhen.

if I help you, it's quite normal. you do a tremendous job, and you do not hesitate one second to go back 3 times on your mod so I can enjoy it.

ok I thank you, and no problem I'll try to do the rest.
if you could just explain to me how I should do to modify your file, without much change the rendering.
Thanking you in advance
and if it necessary I would come share the settings for those like me who plays with 1.7.

Why not to contrast the textures, each has his idea of what is "real".
But for me the real is to fully contrast and HDR that's all, there's no magic.

I will put something up in a few hours, if you can only test these two weathers and times and then let me know.
I will PM you the link, as this will only be a test version.

What an outstanding job dude! Is Vista/7 required as your previous shaders didn't work on XP. Is EFLC out of question even though the shadows can be brought back?

Give it a try, should work on XP, but not the dx10 shader folder. If you want to try EFLC, download the link on page 1, this gives you some options for patches 6 and 7 shaders - one patched for no blur and DoF, and one stock, and then download the link above. You will get some strange ghosting and noise problems with EFLC, on most weathers and times, but I'm going to try a fix. The noise is easy to fix, but the ghosting is going to take a while to fix.

If you try it, let me know how you got on because I don't own EFLC, yet.

Ok, fixed now for patches 6 - 7, EFLC, and TLAD.

There is still a slight ghost effect at the top of the screen, while it's only slight, it does actually disappear after a few minutes of play.

http://www.mediafire.com/?iyni4al1g2d

Two pics from patch 7, Drizzle - showing the slight ghosting at the top, and pic 2 from Rain - minutes after it disappears.

It looks very very nice in EFLC, testing sunny weather right now (don't have a trainer so it might take a while to get all types). Can't take screenshots in W7 but will try to get something.

Great job DKT70, this is what I was looking, a realistic environment under the terribly performing game with little FPS sacrifice, not sure I'd be able to handle ENB with this version.

Try Fraps, I had to resort to Fraps for screenshots myself, after using ENB for a while to get my own screenshots.

Cheers, let me know how it goes in EFLC, as I don't have it yet to test myself.

Well, I tested your new version.
I really were impressed by the color of taxi and Niko also it seems to me.. lol
the night is really successful, and the sky was very beautiful shade.
the only problem is that now I have a shadow by all weather and at almost every hour.
is light but very annoying.
I increase the contrast of the screen, so you can see better.
I know you do your best.
and is the same for EFLC
maybe it's the difference in graphics card?
apparently other people do not have this problem.
or you could just explain to me how do you go to remove it.
so that avoids you remaking your MOD, just for me.
it would be really nice of you.
Thanking you in advance.

srimk,
You need to be more specific about your problem. What time of day, what weather is that last pic ? Looks Extra Sunny, but can't tell the time because of the shadow.

I will put up a test for you, but I can say I haven't seen anything like you've shown. Did you try the Display settings in the picture from my archive ?

Hi DKT

I tried this EFLC w/ its first patch I know of 1.1.1.0
I noticed that in the IV files patch 7 folder seems to be similar, that is looking at rage db/dcl folders seems to have exact file list..
ANyways, I used those and More rain and ofcourse the other files you have but mine is not looking like yours.

I cant say that I am noticing a difference ?! I dont have a super pc so textures a medium and cant push reflections etc above High, w/ out cmdlinetxt..

I used the More Rain, it def gives more rain but it only loox better in darker lighting IMO, because in "Lightening" weather the rain drops show up the brightest.
The rain drops are quite distracting, like many streaks in the screen

"Raining"

Then "Lightening"

Will try that V2 dld

Costar,
Use standard rain if you don't like the added rain, it should look like the stock rain.
Thing is, those pics don't look like my mod, especially the last pic because I don't use clouds in any of the Rain/Drizzle/Lightning weathers, and you can clearly see clouds in your pic. Are you sure you used my timecyc ?

Also, inside the archive in \pc\data\effects\ are two files, these are my attempt at making the rain more visible, try them as well.
