LONDON, UK – MAY 11, 2010 – Today Ubisoft® announces new product details for Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, the next iteration of the critically acclaimed, multi-million unit selling franchise. Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood will ship late 2010 for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and the PC. Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood is a worldwide production effort led by the Ubisoft Montreal Studio in collaboration with Ubisoft studios in Singapore, Bucharest, Québec City and Annecy (known for developing Splinter Cell Chaos Theory’s Multiplayer).

The critically acclaimed single player experience of Assassin’s Creed is back and better than ever as Ezio returns in a powerful struggle against the powerful Templar Order. Now a legendary Master Assassin, he must journey to Rome, center of power, greed and corruption to strike at the heart of the enemy. Defeating the corrupt tyrants entrenched there will require not only strength, but leadership, as Ezio commands an entire Brotherhood that will rally to his side. Only by working together can the Assassins defeat their mortal enemies.

And for the first time, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood offers a never-before-seen multiplayer layer. Players can help the Templars by using Abstergo to train in the art of Assassination to eliminate the Assassins once and for all. Players can choose from a wide range of unique characters, each with their own signature weapons and assassination techniques, and match their skills against other players from all over the world in different game modes.

An exclusive first look at Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood is featured in the July issues of PSM3 and Official Xbox 360 magazine, available in the UK on June 3 and June 10 2010 respectively.

Sounds good, can't wait. AC2 was one of the most satisfying sequels in recent memory. So much improved over the original.

There's a topic already, man. Although this has a more appropriate title, not too sure whether or not this is a necessary replacement.

As mentioned above here is the screenshot, this is called "rome_colliseumpassionplay".

This would stretch the forum so I uploaded it like the other:

Agreed. It managed to take all the great aspects of the original and improve upon them. Something lacking in sequels as of late imo.

I have a wierd thing against Assassin's Creed. They're just not my cup of tea. During previews I had a constant vision in my mind of a medieval Hitman... but if your "cover was blown" you'd be treated to wonderfully human reactions as you ran through a crowded market, had a quick sword fight if you were cornered, ala Jason Bourne, and then escaped.

Assassin's Creed wildly differed from my ideal, and Assassin's Creed 2 continued from there as a more adventure game, rather than the tightly planned medieval Hitman I still wanted.

I have no real qualms against Assassin's Creed, and I'll undoubtedly rent this third installment and definitely try multiplayer --- it's just not what I want from an assassins game.

FEELS SO GOOD TO GET THAT OFF MY CHEST

Im kinda confused, is this AC III?? or just a continuation of AC II? because i would imagine this is a continuation seeing as you play as Ezio again, and then AC III would be made, with a new character to play as.

It's just a DLC for AC2.

its kind of like that assassins creed that came out for psp a while ago, followed altiars adventures in cyprus, the name escapses me though.
its kind of like a follow on just to fill in a bit of story inbetween now and III, and just earn a bit of extra dosh for ubisoft.
i should imagine there'll be another one kind of like this too, as i dont think III is coming pout until 2012.

It's more like an exspansion on the story.
Another way to make some money. I wouldn't be surprised if this was half as long as AC2 but at the same price.

I'm sure it's shorter. If it's ready in July, they can't be putting that much time into it.

Besides one of DLCs for AC2 were 4 bucks for half an hour of gameplay. Rip off.

Hmm I just finished the second one. Wierd as f*ck ending, no spoiler's.

Let me just say, that I really hope this doesn't suck. 2 did a good job of showing Ezio's progression into an assasin. Let's hope this time around, he gets some answers.

One more thing, WHY THE F*CK IS ROME THE ONLY CITY???? BULLSH*TE!

I really don't like how quickly this game is coming out, just a year after the last one. Can you really build a decent open-world game in just 1 year? Vice City was, but the map by today's standards was tiny and a lot less work had to be put into previous gen games.

If it's just Rome then the map better be massive.

This sounds awesome. Assassin's Creed II is one of my all time favourite games.

I don't mind that Rome is the only city. I always thought it was weird that Rome was used so briefly in Assassin's Creed II.

I don't really see the point in having Florence, Venice or any of the other cities that were in Assassin's Creed II. From the sound of it this game takes place not long after after II, so what would we see that we haven't already?
