police stinger and police buffalo

hey guys.

yesterday when i wanted the stinger and buffalo for SP i've edited this part of the line inside cargrp.dat: police1, police2 to: police3, police4. but when i was playing the game i got the police after me but i only saw the polpatriot and two police buffalo's without driver on the road (they was parked on the road) but when i finally saw the stinger there was about 10 after each other but without driver, then a police man was getting in but he only had opened the door before the game crashed.

can someone plzz tell me how to get police buffalo and police stinger in SP without replacing police1 and police2

Add police3 and police4 to the end of every line in the cargrp.dat file [except for boats and bike's of course]
That way you will see peds driving them as well, but maybe don't add them to the police line in case it happens again okay.
Also, little notice, this belongs in the Vehicles section in Modding.

i don't think u understood me, i want the police in TBoGT driving the buffalo and stinger instead of the cruiser and the patrol

I have it on xbox I like this:
I have the buffalo police police2 changed to (model and texture) and I have the stinger changed by the noose for cohincidan sirens.
Then in cargoup.dat changes the police1 by the noose.
Would read:
noose, police2, polpatriot etc.

i don't want to remove the polpatriot i only want to remove police1 and police2 with police3 and police4

Buffalo Change the Police2 and N.O.O.S.E. by Stinger. (Model and texture)
Then change this line like this:
noose, police2, polpatriot, noose, predator, pstockade, nstockade, fbi # POPCYCLE_GROUP_COPS
If you change or police2 stinger by police1, police sirens are very ugly.
If you simply put:
police3, police4, polpatriot, noose, predator, pstockade, nstockade, fbi # POPCYCLE_GROUP_COPS
not work and will freeze the game

So pretty much, in other words, get your police3 and police 4 models and texture [via SparkIV] and export them into somewhere, anywhere like a folder or something. Also, grab out the handling.dat, carcols.dat and vehicle.ide from police3 and police4 and put them in that same folder.

Now rename those police3 and police4 models and textures to police1 and police 2.
Then replace the handling of police 1 and 2, with 3 and 4. Do you get it?

It's pretty simple. But make sure to rename police 3 and 4 BEFORE you replace the models, AND MAKE A BACKUP! We don't really want to see you say you need those files again because you missed a step or f*cked it up. Simply because the moderators will not allow original model or texture file sharing.

Carapapa, are my steps right? can it be done that way?

Yes, you can do so but as I said before. If you change the Stinger by police1 or police2, police lights look very ugly. That's why I change it for the N.O.O.S.E. police car.

i said that i DON'T want to replace police1 and police2 because it would look crappy in TLaD if the buffalo and stinger drives around. i only want to remove police1 and police2 from TBoGT and get police3 and police4 instead

Well too bad, it's not optional unless you can figure out a way to do so with out your game crashing. And to me, it looks like your game is stuck to crashing then.
