it will be released december 31st thats when this pack will turn exactly 2 years old

allthough i worked on it way before 2009 dec 31 i released my first "ultimate vehicle pack" dec 31 2009

i already got it uploaded in raw files now all thats left is the video and the installer

oh and BTW the peg is gone it took me months to find out it wasn't sold in the u.s felt real stupid when someone told me that thats why everyone wanted it gone

Just installed V8 love the new cars but EPM isn't working for some reason. When I turn the lights on they don't turn up on the futo and that other big American car. The only things I installed were the vehicles, realistic colours, epm, xliveless. Already had SNT. The scripts folder, is in there and so is dsound.dll. I'm on patch 1.0.4.0 by the way.

how exactly is epm not working can i see your scripts folder?

also you do not need dsound.dll as xlive.dll is the same thing

oh and a small tip hide the 1911 file for security purposes/moderators

Well I just tried the infernus and the lambo doors work ok but I can't get the futo/toyota's lights to move sad.gif

Cheers it works smile.gif About your pack being bloated I don't think it is. I like how there's a manual way which lets you see the files and be able to use them as backups. Only problem now is I got parts of the map and textures disappearing, might have to reduce the farclip see if that helps.

if you installed parked cars remove the parked cars files from the root and or the red dead island map

if that dosn't work remove trafficload.ini and .asi

With TrafficLoad set at 20 do I decrease or increase the number to increase diversity? I don't know what you're on about with the parked cars though. Do you mean remove the cars from my safehouse ingame?

if you have eflc theres a mod called parked cars it will put parked vehicles around liberty city but it even made MY pc sweat so that mod is for SLI and extreme cpu pcs so if you have it installed delete it

as for the trafficfix i really am not sure how that works all i know is it makes some pcs load textures slowly

but you can try this it sortof worked for me abit better while having the parked cars mod installed

I've removed TrafficLoad and installed the V4 version and that's made the missing buildings and textures go down a lot more. But it's still there, tomorrow I'll remove it entirely and see what's causing it.

if you have under a quad core that might be the reason i made this pack for highend pcs as in quadcores

good news it seems gtapolicemods wants to host the pack which means a permanent hosting space and that also means that the installer can be changed to download it directly which means you only have to download the installer then the installer downloads the files for you

couldn't imagine just a simple idea as a vehicle pack could become so big

i tryed that car already i was planning to have it as the admiral but the weird grill made me reconsider

The Crown Victoria is still the best choice for the Admiral. Have you tried Bolleck's new Crown Victoria?

I'm pretty sure his name doesn't show up in-game. Most people who make textures for cars put their names or modding group logos on the skin but in-game they don't show up.

One of the models is crashing my game in 1.0.4.0

Only using the handling works fine, but when using the vehicles.img, the game crashes usually within 5 minutes of play.

Havnt been able to find which of the vehicles causing it however.

remember that the traffic fix crashes the game if you explode cars or interrupt traffic in a harch way

forgot to post this



since i have not kept this thread too updated i can list some of the changes i remember

chevrolet impala convertible on the manana

toyota prius on the dilettante and other taxi (this change was made the day smokey released it)

some audi station wagon on the solair

volvo station wagon on the ingot i think

buick copperhead on the peyote (not the best replacement but i wanted it in the pack and the peyote is a quite rare car so i guess it works)

volvo sedan on the pinnacle couldn't find anything better and it works they are both somewhat normal cars

new aston martin on the supergt this one is EXTREMELY highly detailed

new chevrolet corvette on the coquette atleast untill a proper c5 is made

chevrolet suburban on the rancher i know theres a perfect replacement for the rancher but that car is so low in quality so i wen't with the old games pattern of a suburban and it works without any issues what so ever i like having it in the pack

some new motorcyles

obviously the new impala on the merit change made yesterday

a team van on the burrito it works considering the old games had a unique van on the burrito but yet again a vehicle i like

dodge monaco on the bucaneer

subaru legacy on the premier i think

new helicopter sound + subway sound

i am planning on removing the extra added things from the installer to make a lighter ver of the pack without all the extras as i understand people are having issues having ALL that installed
