Hmm, I can't tell if this should be locked... Interesting...

But it be honest, I don't find anything in Liberty City 'Freaky' at all. sad.gif

I've yet to find such a place antiX. Sure they exist, so you need to be a little more cautious while your in these areas.
For now though, I'll say the carnival. Never any people there... hmm

What a cun.tish thing to say.

I remember playing free mode with a couple of people I met, we went to that Sprunk warehouse, middle of the night, pouring it down. I was generally scared, the sound of the wind etc, the freaking roof part fell down. I realise it's from that mission, but on it's own? Weird..

The heart of liberty freaks me out a little. Roman's burnt down cab depot does too.
I dont know why but they just do...

compared to san andreas no where really seems that "freaky" in liberty city.

i suppose the grave yard in the north west corner of the first island is the nearest thing to being freaky

Not really freaky but,I'd have to say the subway tunnels. If you're driving down there and not paying attention it's light's out.

San An was full of wierd places, like those big old cabins in the woods in the middle of the nigh... they were horrible ahaha.

I'd say the most freaky place in IV is that sprunk factory at night; It's since become a multiplayer map in EFLC, and it's not as weird when theres a load people running around but as Niko it can be pretty weird.

Come to think of it, When you're playing multiplayer and theres blips turned off, going up to the top floor from the inside can be quite unsettling, not knowing who's around the corner with a shotty to kill you.

I wish there was a freaky place in IV that equaled the Fisherman's Lagoon in SA, that place scarred me silly. The mysterious wheelchair, the empty cabin with the blood on the floor, the stillness of it all.
But that's not to say that there are no creepy places. The Sprunk factory is nasty, like Sammi said. Also, the alleyways on a foggy night can be a little creepy.
Mostly though, I think this one place is the worst. There's a pier under which a mob of homeless folks converge. It's weird and it's unsettling. Some of them have saucepan hats and talk about aliens. It's just downright bizzare and in real life I'd steer well clear.

Brilliant topic by the way, this kind of discussion is what makes GTA so brilliant. Well done biggrin.gif

I don't know about scary, as much as I'd say "unsettling," but I'd think maybe the small forest by the cliffs and abandoned mansion in North East Alderney, when you're alone. I was just messing around in that area, and in-game it was night. The sky was a kinda darkish-green with lots of clouds. I just found it quite creepy, until I came across the hobos/construction workers by the mansion, and a guy on a cliff having a smoke.

Some of the alleys in alderney city are kind of spooky late at night.

The Statue Of Happiness used to give me the spooks esp the beating heart and the rumour when GTA 4 first came out on here that the statues face changes from smiling to snarling during the game.

Made it quite unsettling esp during foggy rainy nights on Happiness Island. orly.gif

I'd say the carnival and the airport, it's so empety, a little mistake from R, an airport is in general fulled with people... icon13.gif

The abandoned hospital is on Colony Island. And people who have posted here aren't pussies and don't find GTA scary. The topic is about unsettling locations.

The toilets under Middle Park. After seeing a series of Eddie Low films on YouTube, I can say I'm not going back anytime soon.

The ones I find unsettling have alread been mentioned for GTA IV: Happiness Island, at night with the leaves rustling amongst the trees at night, and defo the innermost parts of the subway. The toilets under Middle Park make me want to puke, and I hated that mission.

But the creme de la creme has to be Back O' Beyond in GTA SA. To quote Francis, I nearly shat myself. nervous.gif
