SUCH a good game. one of my favorites of all time.

a remake would be sweet. i dunno, it'd be great seeing a revamped version with better graphics and extras...and if it was that or nothing i'd defs go for it...but if they could somehow manage a sequel, and not screw it up, maaaaan...the possibilities are endless.

but i doubt either situation is very likely. oh well. i'm happy with the classic. smile.gif

Did anyone know that they had a comic that showed what happened to Ajax whilst he was in prison?

I had really hoped that gta4s melee controls would echo what R* did in the warriors but I was bitterly disappointed.

The Warriors is a great film, one of my favourites. I got hold of the OST on CD a while back it was one of the first in a while that I couldn't wait to play. Once, I went to a party with friends and long story short, we ended up on the street early in the night/morning with no way of getting home. We sung anything from The Warriors we could remember, quoting it here and there. I imagine it would be what the soundtrack would be like if Aphex Twin or Venetian Snares remixed it.

In other news, I hear they're remaking the film, so won't a game probably be on the cards? It'll be vastly different, so much so I can let it slide and watch it as a completely new film, but it'll still be a Warriors game if that's enough for you.

There is still a possability, the film is being remade and to be set in LA so a game could be made by 2011.

Isn't it a modern take with LA ghetto gangs?
If they find a work around for the guns it should be epic.

Last I heard it was going to be set in modern day LA with real-life gangs - Bloods, Crips etc. I'd hate that personally, with the vastness of "gangsta" media out there, a re-make that echoes back to the original would be really refreshing.

Anyway, I adored this game too. Although I did get bored of it eventually, MP would give it limitlessly longevity. In a re-make I'd love to see some free-roam in addition to a campaign and multiplayer.

That movie has been in limbo for years. It'll probably fall apart. I really hope it does.

Anyway, this could be served immensely by an upgrade. Just seeing the game with better graphics would brighten my life. More map to explore, since Coney was so tied off, and more missions not seen in the film would be awesome.

This game was one of my PS2 favourites. Absolutely.
With better graphics and handlings I would probably still play this.

I bought it again about a year ago, second-hand for about £5 so it should be cheaper than that now, if that's even possible.

My only problem with this game was that you could only go Snow for half a mission.

You mean the little gym in the hideout? Yeah, that was just to get more strenght and stamina, and unlock the 'Steel Toe Boots' and 'Brass Brass Knuckles' if I remember right.

Fox died.
Ajax got arrested.
Cleon probably died.

Vermin was originally gonna die by getting shot by the Lizzies but minds changed.

I made a topic about this a while back, Fantastic game. The new TLAD DLC reminded me of The Warriors, the way you have a hangout with loads of your crew inside and you can do activities inside. On thing i loved was the urban feel and constant bare knuckle fights. Thats the one thing TLAD lacked for me being a biker gang i expected more.

I'd love a remake of the game on PS2 or maybe a completely new. Can anyone remember hearing about a remake of the film? I've heard nothing since a good 2 years ago.

I know this is a huge bump but I recently rewatched the film and I am in the mood to replay this but my disc is scratched for the PS2. Time to search around on eBay!

I believe there is little chance of a remake. However, I do hope that when the new Bully comes out it will have the same mechanics of fighting and giving commands to different groups (nerds, jocks etc). I just have to get my fix!

I have two copies of it for PS2 that I bought recently in CEX and one in an independent second hand store. One is f*cked but the other works fine. It shouldn't be too hard to find a copy.

No, no, no, noo!
I can't believe, I thought someone meant to bump the topic with news about remake/re-release for PC or such.
Well, that's what I've been always hoping for, ever since when I lost the copy.
Such an awesome game!! A remastered modern release and importantly, on PC would be nice. :)

I managed to get it for £4 out of CEX, I still love playing it and then I can't wait to come home from work to play it again. I'm playing on Hardcore Bopper and trying to do all the secondary missions. I have just finished Desperate Dudes. God I love this game.

Shame that instead of making a remastered version we got that stupid Warriors Street Brawl game.

As a big fan of the movie, this game satisfied me in every single way. I loved the missions, and flashbacks - in fact, it was very nice to see how each member joined the gang. The storyline is amazing as it acts as both a prequel and adaptation of the movie. The gameplay is brilliant from melee combat, to tagging, to mugging, et cetera. I found amazing how every character you play as (Cleon, Swan, Ajax, Vermin, Cochise, Snow, Cowboy, Fox and Rembrandt) has a unique fighting style and ability. The ability to control the other gang members via the "Warchief Commands" makes you feel as you're always the boss. Talking of being the boss, the Boss Fights are also very cool, and challenging. The audio (quality, voice acting, music, et cetera) of this game is top-notch, and features most of the original cast - Rockstar Toronto did a very good job with that. Each level is very large, and filled with unlockables, hidden items and side-missions that once completed award you with new modes, and characters for you to play, or to create your own gangs in "Rumble Mode". Both the "Rumble Mode" and "Armies of the Night" mini-games give The Warriors more replayability and fun.

If you're a fan of the movie, don't miss this one - the best movie tie-in game ever made in my opinion. What makes it really special is the fact that Rockstar Toronto made it with a lot of passion and respect toward the movie itself. Its atmosphere is amazing, and perfectly captures the mood of the movie, adding to a dark and gritty city Rockstar Games' obsessive attention to detail, and a ton of things to discover. Every part of New York City, from Coney Island to The Bronx is unique and diverse, making it feel as a living and breathing city although it's not an Open-World game.

One of the best games I've ever played. Would love a 'HD' version of this game.

Great soundtrack too.
