The Code of The Streets

Experience the life of Jermaine Andrews, a high ranking member of a ruthless African American gang known as the M.O.B.
For some time Jermaine has gotten by, working in a garage during the day and hustling with his homies during the night while simultaneously managing to keep himself out of jail. But now in order to keep himself and his gang from going under, he must face all that the city has to offer in an attempt to establish himself at the top of the Liberty City Underworld. While constantly obeying the code of the streets.

Blood and a Four Leaf Clover

This game tells the story of Gordon Sargeant, an Irish-American thug from the notorious McReary mob, a gang that has long been dwindling and is now reduced to doing grunt work for other organisations. The gang no longer holds the power that they once did and have been pushed back to Dukes by more powerful Italian and Russian mobs. This has put Gordon back at the bottom of the food chain, struggling to make a living in Liberty City's dying criminal underworld. You will delve deep into diamonds, drugs and debauchery on your path to former glory in a world where there is no such thing as the luck of the Irish.

Crossovers

There are many crossovers and recurring plot elements between the stories of The Code of The Streets and Blood and a Four Leaf Clover, these are outlined below.

The Mysterious Painting
One of the recurring elements in the stories of Blood and a Four Leaf Clover and The Code of The Streets is a mysterious priceless painting which changes hands several times over the course of both stories. The first time we see the painting is when it is stolen from the National Union of Contemporary Arts by Gordon Sargent and Packie McReary, who hope to make a quick buck fencing it off. The painting resurfaces when mafia underboss Harry Hall tries to get his hands on it as a gift for his don Harvey Noto. After scaring off another potential buyer with Gordon's help and successfully purchasing the painting, it is stolen from him when Jermaine Andrews and Nicky Bottino lead an assault on Opium Nights in an attempt to steal some of the cash that the Messinas have been making through their prostitution ring there. The two mistakenly comes across the painting in a vault in Harry Hall's office/apartment and Nicky takes it for his own, figuring it must be worth a fortune.

The Messinas later track Nicky down and capture him, torturing him until he reveals to have sold it to his own black market fence. Harry Hall sends Gordon Sargent to retrieve the painting once again, this time lifting it off of some Russians under the allegiance of Ray Bulgarin, who wants the painting for his personal collection. The painting is returned to Harry, who finally gifts it to Don Noto. After an unfortunate series of events, Harvey accuses the painting of being a source of bad luck and orders it to be destroyed. The painting is later revealed to have survived, being on display in its rightful place in an art museum until purchased by Jerry Kapowitz. The masterpiece work of art remains mysterious throughout both stories in the sense that the contents of its canvas are never revealed as it shifts hands through the criminal underworld, never to be seen again by the eyes of a clean soul.

Kenny Petrovic's Stolen Ecstacy
Another common plot point between these two stories stems from a payload of ecstacy pills which originally belong to a powerful russian mob boss named Kenny Petrovic. We first hear of the pills when Jermaine starts working for a man named D-Mack quite early on in The Code of The Streets when Mack tells him that he intends to steal the drugs but isn't sure exactly when they will be arriving into the city. In order to try and find out some information about the shipment Mack has Jermaine steal a van loaded with stolen T.Vs that are due to be picked up by some of Petrovic's men and have it fitted with bugs in order to listen in on the russian's conversations in the hopes that they will let something slip about when the drugs are arriving. This same van is stolen by Niko for Mikhail Faustin before the bugs have a chance to pick up any useful information so this plan is a failure. As a back up plan Mack proposes that he and Jermaine go and speak to a low life who he thinks may have some information about the drugs. After some rough persuasion from Jermaine the man tells them that they need to go see a man named Jimmy who he says will give them the info they're after, after telling them this the man is shot dead by Mack for disrespecting him. A short time later D-Mack and Jermaine pay a visit to Jimmy's house accompanied by Mack's partner big Mike. The men manage to secure the information they are after but not before Mike is killed and Jimmy loses the use of his legs (and possibly his life).

Now knowing when the drugs will be coming in, Mack sends Jermaine to go and steal them from a warehouse in south broker and deliver them to a Peruvian pimp named Oswaldo Quiroga over in Alderney City. Once word gets out about where the drugs came from nobody will touch them fearing that they will be killed by Petrovic's men so Oswaldo gives them back to D-Mack and tells him to find another buyer. After word reaches D-Mack that Petrovic has deployed his personal contract killer Rami Yalon to massacre anybody involved in handling the drugs he conjures a plan to offload them at a wholesale price to Papi Ortiz, a well connected dealer operating out of Dukes. They arrange a deal in Firefly Projects, where Papi and three of his hired muscle, including Gordon Sargent, arrive to make the exchange. They are interrupted by Rami Yalon, who massacres nearly everyone present at the deal except for D-Mack, Papi, and Gordon, who all manage to escape by the skin of their teeth with the spoils they came for. Although unsuccessful, Rami Yalon continues to track down the ecstasy pills to Papi Ortiz and assassinates him in his Dukes apartment. After learning that the drugs are stashed in a cemetery on Colony Island Gordon Sargent and his accomplice Liam Ross race against time to intervene Rami from acquiring the stash, catching up to him at the graveyard and murdering him with the element of surprise. They bury Rami in a grave along with the drugs and forget about the disaster completely, figuring the drugs are nothing more than a bad omen.

The Gambetti-Messina War
An old school mafia war breaks out in the streets of Liberty City when Nicky Bottino, an ambitious young Gambetti soldier, leads his own campaign against the Messina family. He deploys Jermaine Andrews as his handyman to accompany him in assaulting the Opium Nights hotel (detailed above). He then continues to use Jermaine as his sword against the Messina family, having him sabotage some of their betting shops. Nicky and Jermaine top it off by shooting up a restaurant owned by a high ranking Messina gangster named Bobby Scarfino, assassinating him in the process. In retaliation, Mark Volpe similarly uses Gordon Sargent to flatten one of the Gambetti family's legitimate restaurants with a stolen Bulldozer and then finally tortures and kills Bottino himself, an act the Gambettis believe to be the work of an undercover cop named Darryl “D-Mack” McKenzie. The bloodshed finally ends when the dons of both families rekindle their old friendship, Harvey paying a respectful visit to Jon Gravelli on his deathbed. The two families then work out their problems and peace is once again restored.

Detective Darryl McKenzie
Many of the events surrounding each of the things named above either directly or indirectly involve one man. His name is Darryl McKenzie and he is a detective for the LCPD organised crime task force known to many in the criminal underworld by the assumed alias “D-Mack”. We first see McKenzie quite early in Jermaine's story whereby he puts himself accross as a well connected criminal who was the supplier for a Jamaican pot dealer named “The Dragon” who Jermaine and his friend Tyrell shoot to death in order to steal drugs from. As part of this character McKenzie executes Tyrell's cousin Anton (who was the one who set The Dragon up to be killed) in front of Jermaine in the basement of his shop and then sets it on fire. Later, seeing an oppertunity to use Jermaine for his own professional goals, he contacts him and offers him some work. Jermaine seeing this as an oppertunity to climb the criminal ladder excepts this work without asking two many questions. The first few jobs that Jermaine completes for McKenzie involve stealing the drugs brought into the city by Kenny Petrovic (the details of which are outlined above). After this Jermaine will temporaily seek employment from Oswaldo Quiroga who assigns him a number of tasks. After this McKenzie once again gets in contact with Jermaine and tells him that instead of continuing to work for Oswaldo he will now begin to work against him because he beats McKenzie's girlfriend (who is a prostitute) for refusing to go out and work the streets, this eventually ends in Oswaldo's death.

Around about this time McKenzie also makes an appearence in Gordon's story when Gerald McReary becomes aware that he is under surveillence by some kind of LCPD task force, likely due to a rat in his camp. In response to this Gerry orders Gordon to track down an undercover detective who he believes to have been gathering information on his organisation for quite some time. Gerry will tell Gordon that he has heard that the detective is due to meet with his superior in a construction site in Dukes. When they get there they will see that the undercover detective in question is in fact McKenzie and his true occupation is finally revealed. Gordon and Gerry will attempt to take out him and his superior but McKenzie will flee the scene, his superior however will not be so lucky.

After Quiroga has been taken out of the picture the jobs given to Jermaine by McKenzie will become more and more outlandish including killing an Alderney state senator, stealing money from both the Italian and the Russian Mafia (only to have him later return it) and blowing up an FBI agent in the middle of Star Junction with a car bomb. Shortly after this string of jobs Jermaine will be notified by the underboss of the Gambetti Family about McKenzie's true identity and he will be become primarily concerned with taking him down before he can be arrested and sent to prison for the rest of his life. McKenzie is eventually killed by Jermaine before any of the evidence he has gathered can see the light of day.

In addition to these crossovers between the two stories contained in this package there are also other plot elements which feature heavily in the stories outside of this pack (those contained within GTA IV's Complete Edition) namely the Heroin, which appears in The Code of the Streets and The events surrounding the kidnapping of Gracie Ancelotti, which features in Blood and a Four Leaf Clover. You can find details of these below.

The Heroin
Another major plot point of the stories of GTA IV and The Episodes from Liberty City is a batch of seemingly cursed heroin which changes hands several times throughout each of the stories. This cursed heroin also reappears in The Code of The Streets. It's first appearence comes very early in the story when Jermaine is sent by Anton Johnson to do a favour for some Angels of Death who he owes some money to, this favour sees Jermaine driving over to the docks in East Hook and picking up a black Schafter loaded with heroin (seen in GTA IV's opening cutscene). Jermaine then drives the car over to the Angels of Death clubhouse (where it remains until it is stolen by the Lost MC). A while later Jermaine begins helping a drug dealer from East Holland named The Guru by attempting to get rid of a gang of Triads who have been cutting into his profits since recently entering the drug trade in Algonquin. He proposes to do this by having Jermaine gain the respect of the gang so he can somehow place himself in a position to take them out. This oppertunity will eventually present itself when The Guru becomes aware of a large quantity of heroin that the triads have in their posession and are looking to offload (after taking it back from the Lost). He will then set up a drug deal with the triads wherein Jermaine will take the triads out and steal the heroin. This however does not go according to plan since the Triad leader (seen in both TLAD and TBOGT) will become aware that something is up and will flee with the heroin. The heroin is not seen again by Jermaine after this point although the bad blood between him and the triads brought on by this event will cause him more and more problems as the story progresses.

The Gracie Situation
In GTA IV, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony we witness an ongoing fight for possesion of two million dollars worth of diamonds which eventually leads to an exchange on Charge Island in which the diamonds end up in the back of a dump truck. As part of this conflict, Gracie Ancelotti, the daughter of the Ancelotti family's don is kidnapped and held at ransom for the very same diamonds. In Blood and a Four Leaf Clover we see the events leading up to the ill fated exchange from Gordon's perspective. Gordon's initial role in the kidnap plot will be to head over to a safehouse in Alderney and wait for Niko to bring an unconscious Gracie over there, after which he must watch over her while Packie takes care of some business. While he is watching over Gracie, Gordon will fall asleep on an armchair and wake up just in time to see Gracie making her escape from the safehouse having managed to free herself from the chair she was tied to. Gordon will be forced to chase her down and restrain her long enough to get her back to the safehouse before Packie arrives. A short time later Gordon will again be called upon by Packie asking him to watch over Gracie while he goes to look after his mother. As Gordon is watching over her some Ancelottis (who have located her thanks to a surveillence operation by Luis and Gay Tony) will try and enter the safehouse to take her back forcing Gordon to fend them off, he will then wait for Niko and Packie to arrive in order to move her to a different loacation. When the men arrive more Ancelottis will be hot on their tail so Gordon will take a car and lure them away in the opposite direction allowing Niko and Packie to make their escape with Gracie in the trunk. Gordon will however later find out about the diamonds being lost, effectively making his part in the plan a total waste of time.

The idea was to make it similar to the EFLC site with some minor changes such as adding the soundtrack. And if you click on the icon for each game you get all the information you could possibly want so there's no real need to post it in this topic. The games are also seperate entities outside of this topic so I think it's best left as it is in order to maintain the interest in each of the other topics. Thanks for the feedback though guys.

Its not speculation, they said there wouldn't be any more DLCs. They're fanfics; we made them for fun. It's amazing how people still don't understand these topics when there are so many of them... sarcasm.gif

Well MOB is in charge of the topic, but I'm pretty sure we got some radio station logos coming soon.

Speculation definition: the contemplation or consideration of some subject.

I know quite well what these are, it just seems it's you who doesn't understand the definition of speculation. At any rate the point I was making was that making your pretend games into a set doesn't really make sense. Even if the games are grouped together they're still the same two games.

It only makes sense to make a combo of games if they're actual games. For this situation it's more pointless than the actual "fanfics" themself.

Well if you aren't fond of these fanfic topics then don't waste your time posting in them. We put a lot of thought and effort into these so we can share ideas with other fans, so you coming in here and calling them pointless and a waste of time is just plain disrespectful.

Anyway MOB's topic and mine were like sister DLCs and we helped each other out with them, so this is just a way of making it official that they are connected like TLAD and TBOGT in EFLC.

Your so pedantic! And these fanfics aren't pointless, they're interesing to read and give people the chance to show off their talents and be creative. What is pointless is people like you moaning about them mad.gif

In my view comments like that aren't even worth paying attention to since they're simply just counter productive. Obviously some people won't like certain ideas but if the person doesn't give an intellegent reason why they don't like your idea then they're not worth even paying attention to. So for future reference, If you don't have anything constructive to say then don't say anything at all... or do say something and have me ignore you. Your choice.

Obviously I can't force people to share my outlook on these people but my advice would be to simply ignore them in future and then they will simply drift away like a fart in the wind.

Code of the Streets is set earlier on in Niko's story, even before he got off the boat. Gordon's story picks up around the time Niko starts working for Elizabeta. We've been kinda working on a few crossovers between Jermaine and Gordy but nothing is set in stone

Yeah good answer man. The Code of The Streets will begin just as Niko is docking at the port in The Cousins Bellic and Finish about three quaters of the way into Niko´s story so logically it would be the First game to be "Released" as it were.

@newby4life: Akavari and I are aware of the status of Liberty City and there only being 2 DLCs.. this is just kind of a "What If" scenario.. It´s just fanfic. The main aim of both of our stories and this topic is to express our ideas and share them with other fans and hopefully try and eleviate some of the anxiety while people wait for the next GTA with a small injection of imagination.
